Brought us each two tiny bowls with couple of tbs of each salt to check for salt. Can't have much. They were perfect. Came with warm bread and butter. The entree of baked chicken looked delicious. We called on Sunday evening on December 21st about 2 hours ahead to see if they would be able to host a party of 21 to 27 people for our family reunion. And they did! We went here for brunch and really liked it. The service was very quick and overall friendly. I got the avocado toast which was my least favorite thing on the menu, the poached eggs were good, but the bread was regular white bread. I was expecting some more flavor. The value for money on that was slightly low. My husband got the huevos rancheros which was pretty great. He loved it. The kids got eggs and grilled cheese. Both were good. Came here the other day before heading to Disneyland. It was a great spot to hit before Disney as it's down the street. I ordered their seasonal potato Benedict. It was alright. Nothing to run home to tell anyone about but it was decent. I think the pumpkin pancakes are much better but it's hard to compare those food types. He saw I needed a coffee refill didn't even ask if I wanted more or brought more. The corn beef hash was not good. All I tasted was green onion. Couldn't even eat it. Mimi's Cafe is a wonderful place to have breakfast. The environment is cozy and everything we ordered was delicious. My kiddo was delighted when their pancakes arrived in the shape of a puppy dog! We especially enjoyed the tasty muffins, served warm with butter on the side. We tried the pineapple upside down, blueberry and banana chocolate chip and liked them so much we took some home with us. Poached eggs over cooked and avocado toast on basic white toast, bacon soggy and don't have hash browns. Vibe is basic and nothing really stands out. Next time I'll opt for something else. We've been staying at the hotel right next door to Mimi's Restaurant this week as we've been here on our spring break to visit Disney. Tonight was our last night and we decided to try Mimi's (our boys call their grandma Mimi so it was a perfect fit). Our server immediately was irritated letting us know he had several tables all by himself so not to expect much from him. He was slamming menus and had a grumpy disposition from moment one. Several things happened throughout our visit that were unacceptable in my opinion including having to ask again for the BBQ sauce we asked for originally, one of my son's chicken wings came with two hollow exposed bones with no meat, and I never got the side of potatoes I asked for even after asking two separate times. All of this could have been overlooked if our server gave us even one smile/didn't act like we were a burden. It was a disappointing way to end our vacation. The food wasn't even good to boot. Absolutely impressed and happy w/our family dinner last night!!! From the start to finish, greeting, service, food and exit! We were so lucky to have Sara wait on us. She's amazing!!! She was very observant from the beginning to the end. She asked if we had any allergies, to allowing me to sample the soup before I decided to order it! I thought that was a very nice touch! Also, Sara arranged for the staff to help sing happy birthday to our son and she gave us an additional cake w/a candle on it to top it off. It felt like we knew her from a long time ago! I have to say...I wish we still had a Mimi's Cafe in Vegas! The French Pot Roast is a must order!!! The meat just fell apart as I ate it (like, off the bone!) the sauce was also very yummy, seasoned right for sure! As well as the Tomato Basil soup!!! OMG...I loooove tomato basil soup. U have to try it there! Both my favs!!! Lastly, we all loved the Strawberry Lemonade! After a long day at Disneyland we walked over to Mimi's to eat. It has been 15 years since our last visit and we loved coming back. I'm actually surprised this place was listed as only 3 1/2 stars. I almost wanted to give them five stars to boost it. We chose this place because it was conveniently located right across from the Courtyard Marriott hotel we were staying at while we were visiting Disneyland. We went at an off time around 1:30 PM and the restaurant was empty. The service and staff were amazing and I wanted a healthy food option. The shrimp, spinach berry quinoa salad was amazingly good and had at least half a pint of blueberries on it. Our server was also amazing. The first thing I want to say is that there's been many visits for food at this place and it was good everytime. This time we go with my sister she ordered banana pancakes and there pancakes arrive with soggy bananas which made her waffle taste funny. After three delightful but grueling days in Disneyland Park, we decided we needed a pleasant quiet dinner by ourselves. Just across the street from the main entry to Disneyland is Mimi's Cafe. We had googled their menu while in the park and were encouraged by what we saw to choose from. Our waiter Andrés was delightful!!! It is always a challenge for me to eat out with my serious dietary restrictions. But Andres was more than happy to assist and make sure I could safely eat and enjoy a delicious customized dinner. He made multiple trips back to the kitchen to confer with the chefs to make sure there would be no cross-contamination and no items would slip through that would impact my serious food allergies. Our food was prepared Exactly as we requested and our dinner was most delightful! The service is impeccable and extremely attentive! Ate here after the Disneyland Half Marathon with some friends who suggested it and was not impressed. We didn't wait too long for a table, which was a plus, but everything else fell short. Our server was either just not good at his job or overwhelmed. And it wasn't crazy busy by any means so I think he was just forgetful. He took a very long time to take our order, forgot half the things we ordered even after we asked for them multiple times, and then tried to charge us for missed items. It was very frustrating to say the least. Besides the mess with the server, the food here was just not good and very overpriced. I paid $24 for 2 eggs, toast, and bacon. And it was all mediocre at best. I could have gotten better food at Denny's for less money. I definitely would not eat here again. read more

I used to love Mimi's so decided to come in after not being here in a while. A lot has changed: no more muffins/bread with your meal, coffee isn't as good, no flavored creamer, food doesn't seem as good. Maybe I came on an off day? We showed up on a Wednesday at 7:30am and were sat immediately in an empty section. We ordered right away, yet everyone around us got their food first (including the loud ass baby that of course they sat directly next to us despite the multitude of open seats). The restaurant was still pretty empty. We got coffee (tasted incredibly mediocre). After at least 30 mins of listening to the baby next to us cry, we got our food, minus half of the chicken that was supposed to be on the chicken and waffles (it came out later). We also got the pain perdu with berries (recommended by our server). This tasted like a glorified cheese danish. It also came with bacon and eggs. I ordered scrambled medium, but they came out runny on the inside and burnt on the outside. Service wasn't bad, but the hosts need to pay better attention to where they seat loud families and quiet small party's. This visit was a waste of time and $50. read more
