I've liked all Mimi's locations, but this one is mediocre. The wait time is not accurate, the staff is not friendly, service slow, the food is not consistent. The only thing keeping this place up is the bussing staff. I'd rather travel further to the Lakewood/LBC location. Ordered the hibachi salmon and a salad to split with my friend. I would give negative stars if I could. This review is 100% about the service of the restaurant, their ability to manage, and the guest experience. We made a reservation for Mother's Day for a party of 10 at 1:00pm. When we arrived, they put our name on the waitlist and we immediately noticed that there were several parties ahead of us who also had reservations. No big deal. It's a busy day. 20 minutes later we are still waiting to be seated. When we inquired about the remaining wait time, the hostess said another 20 minutes. At 1:45 we are still waiting for a table. When we ask the hostess about how much longer, she VERY RUDELY , said 20-25 minutes and she "can't make the server come back from his break". Simultaneously, my wife remarked to me that this new wait time and was the same thing the hostess said before. The hostess heard my wife and yelled across the lobby "What did you say?", at least twice. At this point I asked to speak to the manager. Both hostesses walked away from the podium, and I stood there for a few minutes until the manager came. Manager came, asked my party name, and WALKED AWAY! Finally our table is ready: almost an hour after our reservation time. The rude hostess showed us to our table. Instead of walking with us and escorting us to the table, as is normal polite etiquette, she quickly went to the table, faster than our party could walk, dropped the menus and left before our entire party arrived at the table. To top it off, as the hostess was returning to the host stand, she physically bumped into my wife and then my father-in-law and continued to barrel on through. No apology. We sat at the table for at least 10 minutes before any server came to us. By this point, we were hungry and frustrated. So we left and went to a fast food place. The food was fast, delicious, and the employees were very nice. Mimi's on the other hand, left much to be desired and was overall a terrible experience. We will probably not ever visit this restaurant again. read more
