Have gone to Mimi's the last six years for the Thanksgiving meal and have always enjoyed the quality food even it was busy with customers. Yesterday, i did not enjoy my meal so much. Corn Chowder was lukewarm and the turkey looked and tasted like processed turkey as it had a rind around each perfectly circular slice. This is NOT the same turkey served to customers when you order this meal from their regular menu. Something is not right here compared to my past visits. My husband and I will not return in 2020. read more

Went in Saturday morning to grab breakfast. Decided to sit at the bar as there was a wait for a table, but it wasnt ridiculously busy. Drinks were served promptly and told someone would be by in a sec to take our order. 10 minutes went by and there was no bartender, waiter, and the hostess couldnt be found. The hostess station was attended for at least 5 minutes while myself and 4 other people waited around to talk with anybody who worked there. Finally the waiter came to our spot at the bar in a huff. We said with a smile "Thanks for coming over". His response, "I wasnt going to, its busy". Straight faced and salty. We asked if we heard him correctly, and he assured us we did. At which point we got up and left. Spoke to the manager on the way out, and he honestly couldnt have cared less. Will never come to this dumpster fire of an establishment again. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience! Vivian was probably one of the kindest servers I've ever experienced at a restaurant. She brought me muffins because it was my first time here and they were GREAT! I really enjoyed my experience here. I was served by Brandon. What an incredibly attentive waiter. He never let my drink get past half empty and he was so attentive. Then the manager Chris stopped by to see how my meal was. Through our conversation I asked him about the fall offerings and he talked me right into a pumpkin muffin for dessert. I always enjoy going to Mimi's for breakfast with my family. Today I visited this location and found it to be understaffed. It wasn't very busy for 11am. We were seated quickly however waited close the 15 minutes just to get an order for our drinKs. By then we also already decided what we wanted to eat. We ordered, the waiter was nice and friendly. However only came by 1x to ask us for refills on water and coffee. Not 100% pleased considering it was for my daughters birthday breakfast. read more

Place was pretty empty and I can see why. Seated by the hostess who was cleaning tables. She placed our silverware wrapping in a napkin while wearing these gloves...not sanitary! I went today to pick up my Thanksgiving meal. I ordered the one to feed 8-10. The potatoes are a small container, thank God I ordered an extra one. The gravy is in a small container and not nearly enough. The sweet potato casserole was not tasty and no one ate it. The green beans were gross. The Turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing were fine, just not enough. The cranberry sauce was a tiny container, so I had to get more. I was disappointed. Went to Mimi's Cafe in Fontana today for takeout. Ordered a Mandarin chicken salad no onions, turkey dinner and a bread basket! The salad had onions, not enough salad dressing, and the bread tasted like it was at least a few days old. The turkey dinner wasn't so great either! Doesn't look like I'll be going anytime soon to Mimis! Bread basket didn't even have the carrot bread it usually does! Not very happy with their service either. I called the order in a 3:46. I am rating this Mimi's a 2 stars only because the food was ok but the service was very poor. Waitress only had 4 tables but was gone most of the time, no second cup of coffee no jam for the toast. The bad thing about it was that they have food carriers so the waitress's sole job it to take orders and coffee and water the guests. We ate at Mimi's Bistro over the weekend. Service horrible while the servers were in the kitchen socializing I had to get up three different times to get our order, get our food, and then get our dessert. The food was awful! Tuna on bread so hard you couldn't cut it to chew it the tuna was awful mayonnaise and canned tuna ughhh no taste at all.$ 50.00 for awful service awful food. We have been there a couple times before each time mediocre quality hoping it would get better. Ughhh it never did. Will never return to Mimi's ever again. In the 90's it used to be great not now so sad they throw slop at patrons and charge an exorbitant price for it. I don't mind paying if food and service is good quality this is not! I SHOULD'VE READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING HERE. We stopped here from Victorville yesterday 2/6/18. I ordered Jambalaya with pasta, they served it to me with rice. My boyfriend ordered soup and salad, and while browsing the menu, he found out that you can make a "trio" and get a better deal, waitress was never informative and friendly enough, did not really walk us through, basically, they want your money... she then told my boyfriend "BUT I ALREADY RING IT AS REGULAR SOUP AND SALAD"-- what an attitude. So here comes his soup, salad, sandwich and my order has been "being taken care of", he finishes his lunch, while they just brought out my food, completely ruined the whole experience. To top it off, they charged us with the muffin after saying you have to have it with the salad. Oh boy. read more

Hi! It takes much for me to post a bad review about my experience, unless it is warranted. I have loved Mimi's and have always enjoyed their "corn chowder soup" and still do, however last night, to get 3 items that we had to return at 3 separate times due to the dishes being dirty was a very bad experience that makes me hesitant in returning. The dishes that are brought out had stains or baked on residue was not appealing at all. It started with a saucer that was given to my husband, we gingerly returned it back to the server and asked for another one. However when my soup was delivered the soup spoon was dirty, we returned that and my soup was served in a bowl w a plate underneath, when I grabbed the plate to scoot it closer to me, under the plate there was baked on stain- like old food. I returned that but thought about this experience as I ate only a portion of my soup.. to have 3 dirty dish ware given to you, I understand maybe 1 which is never good, but 3... please improve Mimi... clean dishes are important in a restaurant read more

We had the worst experience this morning. We reserved a table for3 and a child. We got there and were seated right away. We ordered coffee and asked for cream, the waiter took more than 10 minutes to bring the cream then we asked for more coffee and more cream and the second time took a lot longer for us to get the cream. When he finally brought it to our table, the coffee was cold. About 50 minutes later, we noticed that other people who were seated after us was already getting their food. After almost an hour of sitting without food or hot coffee, we spoke to the manager and told her that we were leaving. My friend ordered a salad requested no cheese; got cheese & had to be taken back & remade. Per the menu, the salads were to include muffins, never received. Food here is what you expect of a casual diner, with a hint of French cuisine. This being said the waiters and waitresses are what makes this a 4 star experience! Clay for example was extremely attentive and had a positive attitude throughout. There was never a moment I didn't have something I needed. For instance today the place is not busy at all yet it seemed to take the waitress 15 minutes to even address us at our table. No apology just straight into what we would like. Our waitress Vivien was fantastic and is the reason I'm giving this review 5 stars. The food was good, I ordered the pick two with the tuna baguette and the French onion soup. The French onion was a bit salty and the tuna didn't have very much seasoning. My friends did say that their food was delicious, though. Vivien was very attentive to detail. She came to check on us frequently and always asked if there was anything she could get for us. At the the end of the meal, she surprised two of my friends with their own boxes of muffins (it was their first time eating at Mimi's) - that right there is going above and beyond for your customers. Wow talk about lousy! Service this was one of the worst visits! I've ever experienced came here on a Sunday, it wasn't that busy mind you. We ordered our food and it took over an hour!
