Called in an order for delivery and asked for a medium Sicilian pizza plus another regular medium pizza. When it arrived the tab was $60 (did include 2 cannolis) and the Sicilian pizza was much bigger than a medium. We called to ask about the sizes and were told there is only one size Sicilian pizza. We explained we had ordered a medium and the person taking our order didn't mention anything about there being one size. Nor did he mention the one size is much bigger than a medium. The person on the phone had some issue understanding our frustration. Each time we explained it we only received smart ass remarks so we asked to speak with the manager. The manager again told us of the one sized Sicilian and weirdly blamed his two new drivers yet did not seem interested in resolving the issue. Really all we were interested in was the acknowledgement that they fucked up and some kind of fix. Charging us for a regular medium pizza instead of this massive Sicilian would have been plenty but they could not see any issue with the customer service. I love pizza and Mimi's definitely hit the spot. I'd rate this an 8.4 (Barstool pizza scale rating). The inside of the restaurant has seating and televisions to watch, and you can actually watch them make the pizza behind the counter. I ordered a large half Mimi's and half Margherita pizza. It was ready in about 20 minutes. The pizza is delicious. It's fairly floppy, and the crust isn't that crisp but it tastes amazing. I'm not a big fan of spinach, but the first slice of Mimi's was pleasantly good. The ricotta cheese and spinach go well with the tomato sauce and neither topping is too overpowering. The Margherita slices were just as good. If you're looking for a flavorful slice of pizza at a decent price, Mimi's is a solid option if you live in the heart of Dallas. The garlic cheese bread was delicious with a perfect crunchy crust. The mozzarella cheese sticks were good but not the best I've ever had. The cheese itself could stretch 6inches if you let it! That's how you know it's quality cheese. The breading was the only meh part about it, other than the parmesan dusting, it was very bland. The pizza was pretty good. I don't know how fresh it was but it was hot and covered in grease. There wasn't a whole lot of sauce either which is a plus in my book, but take that as you will. read more

This place surprised me in a very good way! We got the Scilician specialty pizza which is almost like a Detroit style deep dish, not as deep as one tho. You can customize their Scilician pizzas with any toppings you want at no extra cost and with however many toppings you want!!! That blew my mind. The pizza itself tasted good and those slices are huge!! I didn't even get a large. Good for a big group of friends, but the slices still taste good reheated the next day. We got a spinach pinwheel and pepperoni pinwheel. The pepperoni one was equivalent to a mini calzone and was better than the spinach imo. I love that they use a sparing amount of tomato sauce. Enough to moisten, but not enough to feel like a tomato waterworks park. The best part of this pizza is how everything comes together into this satisfying bite. Usually certain ingredients stand out more than others, but this wasn't the case! This time I had an online pick up order for 7:10 and had to wait there a full 30 extra minutes just for them to get me my order. Not to mention I live in deep elum so it's a twenty min ride each way. Margherita pizza is my family's favorite type of pizza. Ordered one from Mimi's for the first time to try it out. Was told it would be ready in 20 mins. Arrived 22 mins later. Pizza and pasta weren't sitting under a heat lamp or in a warming oven. Just sitting on top of oven. Pizza was totally cold and had barely any cheese on it. It tasted like just bread and sauce; so we had to add our own cheese and put the pizza in oven to warm it up to eat any more than initial bites. Normally, we would have finished off a large pizza, no problem; but no one wanted more than a slice; so we had to make dinner after. The spaghetti and meatballs only had 2 meatballs on it, barely any sauce, and the meatballs tasted funky. We are super confused how this place got any 4 or 5 stars. Pretty disappointing. This is the closest thing to New York Pizza as far as taste & consistency goes. The prices are very reasonable as well.
