    Tuna nachos

Tuna nachos; fresh, frisky, and plenty of crayons for the baby boy. Was the art on the walls O'kief-esque? Yes. Very much so. But the udon made up for the nude-on the walls. Kids chicken teriyaki was more than enough for our 18 month-old. Shrimp tempura roll was ok, the rice was just a touch off. Maybe over-starched and over-seasoned? Their twist on the katsu sando was fun, brioche bun with coleslaw. A good meal! Tuna-in for my next review!

Bowls .. I think katsu and the middle one on the menu lol

I truly love it here - everything is so fresh and great. It's a fusion mix of Asian and Latin and I love it.

New spot that's been open approximately 7 months. I come to this plaza for EOS gym and never noticed this wonderful gem! This is an absolute must try!! Cute little sushi restaurant. It's welcoming when you walk in and greeted by smiling faces and then thanked when you leave. Service is top notch also. We were the only customers on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. They did have some takeout orders while we were dining. Please go support this tasty place! We got a variety of rolls: California roll, Dragon roll, spicy tuna roll and the volcano roll. The presentation was awesome! They made the dragon roll look like a dragon with cream cheese eyes. How cute! All the rolls were delicious but my fav was the volcano roll. For dessert, we ordered the Oreo roll to go and devoured that thing once we got home! What a cute and original idea for a dessert at a sushi place. The dessert looked like sushi rolls. It was Oreo outside with frozen fruit and ice cream and was just heaven on a plate! Best dessert I've had in a while. Definitely worth the extra calories lol. But if you're not into sushi, they have other options on the menu. And I'm sure, based on the quality and taste of the sushi that their entrees are fabulous also. Oh, and they have a low carb roll which intrigued me but I was afraid to try due to the description sounding like it was spicy. It's called the Baked temptation roll.

This small, intimate sushi restaurant provides opportunities for a small group or a cozy date night for those who like to venture in Asian cuisine. Although there was only one person to take orders, serve, and clean tables, it was still a pleasant spot. My husband and I enjoyed the sushi nachos, and although he had the sushi rolls while I enjoyed the teriyaki shrimp bowl (didn't enjoy the pickled cucumbers), we left full and content. Definitely a place to enjoy again, but perhaps next time will take out.

This place was fantastic and the service was great. The restaurant is small and cozy, excellent for date night. Our waiter was most helpful on recommendations for the appetizers to get us started and the sushi was spot on. I can't say if ramen was on the menu but it would be nice. I'll definitely be coming back.

Five stars! Amazing! Everything Chef Daniel created has a unique twist that elevates each dish. We tried the sushi nachos, white tuna miso, sashimi, sushi rolls, crispy cakes, tempura fry ice cream, and teriyaki chicken bao buns. Honestly, no complaints. All the fish is imported from Japan and you can taste the superior quality.

Spicy Salmon Roll (no cucumber) & Volcano Roll

Wowie!!! This was my first time here and I'm mad I waited so long to try it. Let's start with the atmosphere- it's a cute little seating area and they play great music. I was the only one in there at the time which is why I wanted to write this review because it deserves to be busting at the seams because of how good it was!!! Now the food (most importantly)- I got a spicy salmon roll (no cucumber) and it was SO good. The salmon was the best I've had at a sushi restaurant ever and you could taste the jalapeño in it which was top notch, very fresh and delicious. I also got the volcano roll which was beautifully presented and equally as tasty. Honestly I wasn't sure about asparagus in sushi and I almost asked for without it but it didn't taste like asparagus just added a little crunch which I enjoyed. Was it a lot of food? YES the rolls both had probably 10 pieces which is wayyy bigger than anywhere else I've been. If you want great sushi, it's a must try!!!

Sumo Roll, Caterpillar Roll, Eel Roll

Sumo Roll, Caterpillar Roll, and Eel Roll - a perfect trifecta!! This place is SO good - very glad they have added themselves to the list of close places in Carrollwood Village

Best sushi in carrollwood. This is a hidden gem. My husband had the steak tacos and he loved it. I had the sake mojito with strawberry.

Tuna tataki and roll with mango and avocado (I forget the name but it's super good!)

I absolutely love this cute little sushi cafe. I have been several times and the food is consistently delicious. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant! My favorite tuna tataki ever!!

So many nautical nods in the decor-rustic coastal-in sort of an 80s/90s way (love). You can almost taste salt in the air-you expect the Gorton's fisherman to walk in. Yes, I could settle in here for a while. And I did. There are chalkboard drink choices on the walls-and a large menu. Happy hour and daily specials add to the options. I asked my friendly and helpful server to help me choose. She was spot on. The onion rings basket was a thing of true beauty. That batter is incredible-so light, so melts-in-mouth good. I'd go back for them alone. (and to try the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes) But then came the main event: a gorgeous piece of fried haddock that hung wayyyy off the bun on both sides-and loads of tasty fries. I swapped out coleslaw for green beans. What a feast! This is a lot of food! And every bit of it was really tasty. The haddock was huge-and so well cooked. It was tender-flaky-with another light batter, that complimented the fish perfectly. I ditched the bun and ate it with a knife and fork. It was just yummy. The fries had a good crunch to them and the bowl of green beans was deep. This is a massive value for money! Oh! And the margarita was good, too! A little tangy-I like that! (There's a full bar area, if you care to belly up) My sweet server was easy to talk to and super efficient. She knows the menu inside and out-and reads her customers well and early. The restaurant was cozy and comfy-it's a casual spot, but well tended and very clean. You really do forget that the busy world is right outside the door. There's tons of parking, but beware on super rainy days-there are low spots in that lot. The water came up fast while I was there and another server warned us to check our vehicles and move them, if needed. I decided to make a dash for it-so didn't get all the pics I wanted-but that's just another reason (along with the scrod and the mahi taco, etc etc) to go back. The Great Catch is a great choice. You can trust the Gorton's fisherman!

I was confused. I took this place off our list. We attempted to go back again yesterday because my uncle wanted a lobster roll and wanted to spend time with the family. He ordered the lobster roll that was $50 then he was charged extra for side dishes that the menu already said came with them. I questioned the server and they said they asked whoever was in charge and they told her he said it was known as premium sides. These are basic sides and their menu no where listed premium sides as an option. I understand a soup maybe more but he ordered sweet potato fries and a potato, the soup was a third choice for this roll. $54 for a foot long lobster roll is insane and then to be charged for 6-8 fries and a small potato as premium sides. Please stop changing the menu. My husband wanted to ask for a manager to complain but we just left. We will go back to Zeph where nothing has changed. The service and the drink specials are why we came back here for the second time.

I called the restaurant back and asked to speak with a manager. Instead of trying to accommodate the situation or find a reasonable solution, I was repeatedly told that they could not take my order and that I would have to physically come inside and wait for it. What made the experience even more frustrating is that the person I spoke with identified herself as Kimberly, while the receipt shows the name Maria. You are looking at spending at least $98 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, no matter which restaurant you go to - it seems like the market does a good job at leveling the pricing competition between these restaurants. Crafty Crab is located essentially smack-dab in the center of Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area. Although we didn't have issues with finding parking around 6-7pm on a Tuesday evening, the plaza can get quite busy with one row of parking on each side of a two-way lane that parallels the plaza. As we walked into Crafty Crab, it did have a cleaner feel and presentation compared to another local boil spot. Our waiter/server was great and extremely patient with us as we contemplated our choices. He continued with the positive energy throughout the service which made our experience at Crafty Crab rather nice. ***Not sure if it was standard practice, but he offered to empty the boil bag onto the aluminum tray (compared to leaving it in the bag) as an option which made navigating the morsels easier in my opinion. It also made for saucing the steam rice easier - just slap that jawn onto the tray, mix, and enjoy.*** What I enjoyed about Crafty Crab, is that they seem to offer better combinations when it came to the seafood deals. Dungeness crab is our staple, and they had a great combo that pair Dungeness crab with snow crab and headless shrimp. The fried calamari came with not only marinara, but also a spicy-mayo-wasabi sauce that slapped. Overall, you can't go wrong with Crafty Crab if you're looking for your Cajun boil fix!
