I found this place average at best. I was really looking forward to it based on its Yelp reviews. The beer was delicious and it appears they have a very wide selection. The biggest disappointment was the personnel. I found them to be very unfriendly and aloof. So much so I didn't waste my time eating here. There are plenty of other Mom & Pops that would love to have my business. I blame management. Like most companies, I suspect they have stripped the humanity out of this business as well. Authentic, Funky & Fun Saloon with a unique menu and a plethora of beers for every palate. We went here to grab a mid-day beer, and shared the 6 cheese & meat plate. My friend got a flight of 5 beers, and the excellent waitress took time to answer our questions & write out the names & ETOH content of each beer. We tried this new bar out because it's in a great location and right next to Golden Speakeasy. There are some outdoor spots to sit and it looks pretty cool from the outside. Inside there is a long bar, as well as seating beyond it, plus a lounge-type of room that is very rustic. There are lots of TVs and would make for a great sports bar. The staff were extremely friendly and came over to ask how we were doing a good amount of times. I would rate the service and environment as five stars We ordered two drinks, one was an IPA recommend by our server and we really liked it, the other drink was a cocktail recommendation by our server as well, can't remember which one it was but it was great. We also ordered a meat and cheese plate and was very happy by how much was included. Beyond the three meat/cheeses that were on the plate there were plenty of sauces included, pieces of crackers, pickled vegetables, etc. I would rate the drinks and food as five stars. A wonderful stop along downtown Golden that is completely unassuming from the outside but nothing but a rustic magic within. Both chili's are amazing. I ordered a hot toddy that was more than palatable, but the gin mojito that Noah made especially for me knocked it out of the park! We visited the Miners Saloon twice while we were visiting the Golden area. Great casual atmosphere. The food we had was fresh and great tasting, the homemade ricotta appetizer was out of this world. Great beer selection, plenty of Colorado Craft Beers and the cocktails were top notch as well. Very chill and friendly staff as well. read more

We visited from out of town due to the recommendation of a friend and we are so glad we did. We came on the Fourth of July so the place was definitely busy, but the service was so pleasant we didn't mind. Emily had our group laughing all night. She was really a bright spot to our visit. She was personable and took the time to take care of our group. She even gave us great recommendations for stuff to do for the rest of our trip. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. The beer selection was also great. We loved the overall vibe of this place. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

We had the elk sausage and wild game chile. The flavors were great and the elk was extremely lean and included house-made mustard, fig jam, and pickled veggies. The chile and accompanying cracker were a bit salty, which is why I'm not giving five stars. The service was fast and friendly. Michael was very knowledgeable about their vast beer selection. We had a New England-style IPA and a DIPA. And it turned out Michael was from our area and we knew some of the same people! Super friendly and an awesome find for our first time wandering into Golden. We dropped in to watch the hang gliders and enjoy an easy lunch with our pup. So... I've been here twice. The first time was with a group of people later in the evening and we already had some alcohol in us. I got the French dip and beer and I thought it was great. The second time was earlier in the evening with me and one friend. We went straight to the bar for dinner and beer. Not busy at all. I got the grilled cheese and soup, and he got a chili dog. The grilled cheese sounded really good, but I ended up not really liking it... so I was sad. My bartender was very kind though. He and the cook offered to give me something else or cook just regular grilled cheese. But I was already pretty full. So the bartender took the grilled cheese off my tab. They were all very nice and accommodating. Service was a touch slow for not being busy, but not a big deal. We weren't in a hurry or anything. read more
