It was a Saturday night and we tried 2 other restaurants and there was at least an hour wait so we ended up at the Ming. It was 6:30 and there was only one other table with 2 couples in the entire place which was not a good sign but we stayed anyway because by then we were really hungry. The greeting at the door was as not warm by any means. Our server was the same.. a young Chinese gal that was actually rude to the people at the next table. I was appalled but said nothing as it was not my business. The food was good but not as hot as it should have been. We certainly would have enjoyed it more if it came to us hot. I usually tip 20% but I gave her 15% and that was a gift! Someone needs to inform these people that how one is greeted in a restaurant is of utmost importance and leaves a long lasting impression. We are your patrons and the people who keep you in business!! The scorpion bowl for two was tasty. Won't be going back that's for sure. Hopefully they will read this review and make the necessary changes to get more people through their doors! read more

We came in for a Mai Tai, not finding another place in Marshfield to get one. My wife got a Mai Tai, she really liked the drink, and mine was ok. We ended up ordering some scallion pancakes, beef teriyaki, and rice. These are now her favorite scallion pancakes and the beef teriyaki was very good, too. We hadn't planned on eating otherwise we would have tried more. We will definitely be coming back here. Food was Solid all around. Huge menu. This was our first time trying it but the kung po chicken was good. The general Gau's was good too. For lighter Asian cuisine and EXCELLENT sushi, Sashimi down the street is the spot, but for basic Chinese food, I will definitely be back. They're known for Chinese bar food like rangoons egg rolls and scallion pancakes so will try those out with a few MaiTais next time. read more

Went on a Friday night & it was not very busy. Bartender took a while to come over to us and did not greet us warmly whatsoever. She proceeded to make the WORST Mai Tai I've ever tasted. So sugary & it tasted like sweet tea instead of a Mai Tai. The other bartender happened to check on us so we asked if she would be willing to remake it (we thought okay one of the bartenders at a Chinese restaurant must be able to make a good mai tai. She told us because we had already taken one sip that we would have to purchase an entirely new Mai Tai. We were so confused. They also have karaoke - there was a full on wedding after party and everyone was LIT. The food is also AMAZING. The food is good, the order is always correct and they pay attention to any notes I make in my online order. The only reason I don't make it 5 stars is I only get takeout so I can't say anything about being inside this very popular watering hole/restaurant. From the Chinese side of the menu we loved the Pork Lo Mein- enough for 2 meals, lots of pork strips all the way through (not just a few on top the way some places like to do) and just plain yummy. I like a lo mein that's not greasy or overly salty and this fit the bill. The Egg Drop Soup was sublime- again, not overly salty but a tasty broth and tons of eggy goodness. The Japanese menu has a understated Chirashi that included a bite of tuna, a slice of omelet, assorted hamachi, shrimp and 3 slices of octopus that was not too chewy to enjoy! If you like the sea-saltiness of octopus you know what I mean, as it's usually way too overcooked and impossibly chewy to enjoy. My only quibble with the chirashi was there didn't seem to be any rice vinegar flavoring the generous serving, nor was there any wasabi, weird. We also had two cooked special rolls- Snow Mountain Maki and Special Dragon Maki - and each one was huge! The ingredients for each roll were delicious and fresh, although it was surprising to find not one but two balls of wasabi tucked in with the rolls! And the special request I made to turn down the spice on the Snow Mountain was obviously not a problem as the roll was perfect. and again, huge! Pickup for the prepaid qMenu online order was quick & easy, making this a definite add to the weekly takeout rotation! read more

While I picked at my food a woman came in and the bartender offended her. I did not hear the original comment. She spoke with the cashier who laughed, I wrongly assumed with her, and then returned to the bar. The bartender willfully, cruelly, looked at her and said "What can I get you Sir?" This woman was upset at being misgendered and he said he called everyone Sir. He didn't call me Sir or any of the other people sitting at the bar. The woman leaves and then the bartender, cashiers, and customers(!) all proceed to make fun of her for 5 minutes laughing together. It was disgusting and I left. I'm sorry to this woman, i wish I stood up for you when I heard the bartender misgender you. It looks like even if I did they'd have just laughed at both of us when we left. First Chinese food I ever had... very good. I remember when they built it near where the packy used to be in 1982/83. Must tries are egg foo young, General Gao's chicken, moo goo gai pan, and beef with broccoli. Plenty of parking and a local watering hole. Great staff and service. Ming Dynasty is ok. It was completely dead tonight aside from 2 guys at the bar who i struck up a conversation with. I ended up ordering dinner combo T4 and a Diet Coke. Most Chinese food places will throw in fried rice which is typically included in the combo, but not Ming Dynasty. The servers were nice and not overly attentive. The food was good, but definitely not great. I can't say I'd recommend Ming Dynasty. As least for tonight the restaurants footprint is too big for the clientele demand. I grew up in Marshfield but had not been to the Ming in a while. My first encounter of 2 liter sprite bottle filled with urine outside the front door almost made me turn around. We sat out back which was clean and seemed pretty new. Our waitress seemed annoyed we were there it was apparent she was working the bar area as well as our area. I ordered a dynasty special and the food was very good, so I would definitely recommend the food just maybe get it to go. read more

Absolutely terrible!! I'd rate it a 0 if I could. We bought $70 worth of food and threw it all away it was so bad. I have NEVER thrown away this much food. Moo goo gai pan was covered in a horrific slime; so bad. The fried rice was a really dark color and tasted bad. Lo mein was edible, but that's all it was. Pu pu platter was terrible except for the fried shrimp, they were actually good. This used to be a decent restaurant, not 5 stars, but good. I don't know what happened?! Prices went up and food got worse. Save your money and try Tsangs instead, their Chinese food is reliably good and sushi is fantastic. read more

Ming was good as we visit this place with family or have gotten it for take out before the other times we come up here to the area. All the appetizer platters come out hot and fresh and everyones meals came out the same. Orange chicken with rice was great and the eggrolls are huge and hot and great.
