Scallops are a must try, but the best is the chicken. Old school. Great prices, wonderful staff, very comfortable setting, clean, letting parking, and the prices are spot on. A treat. Make a reservation! Been coming here since '92, and it is like visiting a friend and feeling like no time has passed. No negatives whatsoever.

I enjoyed their Two Truths and a Rye while my friend had an espresso martini. I settled on a cup of sweet potato soup (delish!) and the meatloaf. The smoked bacon jam atop the moist and tender meat slices (packed with garlic) were amazing! The roasted veggies and mashed potatoes made this a very filling entree. My friend had the chopped salad with sirloin tip side. She loved the salad but we both felt the tips portion was very skimpy. We finished off the meal with the limoncello mascarpone cake. Our server, Rachel, was exceptional--friendly, anticipatory, always filling water glasses and checking back. The dining room is part of a Colonial home that has a charming vibe. The bar area was crowded and hopping! I'd go back again and again.

Let's start with the oysters, at $24 for half a dozen the actual oyster size was the size of a quarter (at best) very disappointing. I asked our waitress where the oyster came from and she said Duxbury and I asked what farm and she didn't know. You would think management would educate their wait staff. The fried calamari would get a C+, (best part of meal), my wife and I each got the Fish N Chips... batter came out dark brown, it looks like they haven't changed their oil in the fry-o-later for a long time, which ruined the experience, the fish was just ok once you found it. My daughters $42 steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium well, it was sent back and when the replacement dish came out the remaining 5 of us were finishing our dinners and get this, the steak was still over cooked so they took it off our bill. My sons pappardelle and short rib was so so, and his girlfriends salmon was "just ok" With a $593 bill this was a very poor dining experience. This will be our last visit to Oro you may want to consider same. In hind sight we should have cooked at home and would have saved a lot of money!!!

About 25 tables, but not tightly packed. Felt like an Italian restaurant where you might just share with the table nearest you. I could order nearly anything on the menu. Awesome and terrible with a time crunch! We started with the focaccia bread, which was delicious. We saved some and I'm eating it now. Then it was Splitsville: I mean we split a salad, bolognese and chicken parm. Garden/House Salad was described as fresh, what the kitchen could get, flavorful and colorful. It was all those things and didn't disappoint. Chicken parm was not fried. Was Bell & Evans chicken breast not beat to hell. Was plump, juicy and flavorful. Maybe the best I've ever had. Bolognese was equally good. I'm glad we split everything so we could each try a number of different options. We were out on time and never felt rushed if you can believe it. Excellent service and pacing to go with the excellent food.

Had a lovely server named Erin who did a fine job taking good care of us. Just before the meal ended I told her I did not want any extra charges on my bill because the last time they put some kind of admin fee I think is what they call it at the bottom of the bill. Well she said she was unable to do it because it was a policy in both of their restaurants but that she would send over the manager. He arrived and explained that the charge was TO HELP COVER THE COST OF THEIR IMPORTED GOODS LIKE CHEESES AND OILVE OIL.. and something about the tariffs... and they haven't raised their prices for 2 years. Well maybe you should and stop the additional charge. Don't know about anyone else but I am not interested in paying for a restaurants cost of goods or the cost of running their restaurant in general. He did remove it but not before telling me he did not like the way I spoke to him. Personally I don't believe that's why he said that but it was more he did not like what he was hearing. He was young and will gain more wisdom at time goes by. Wishing them all the best but we will not be back

To our surprise, everything was perfect except a little bit of wait time. But is all well worth it. The restaurant does not accept reservations but you can call ahead and put your name on the waitlist from their website. Then you will get a text when to expect to be seated. The restaurant was packed with people waiting for a table. We walked in and was seated as our name was called from the waitlist. The hostesses were friendly, polite and professional. Once seated, our waitress, Taryn S. Came by and took our order. Taryn was awesome! Attentive, courteous, polite, friendly and efficient. As busy as it was, she filled our glasses and refills for drinks. Food was served and she was there checking up on us as well as the food server. Food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and prepared, true temp and absolutely delicious. Ordered the Outlaw ribeye with mash potatoes and asparagus and wife ordered the Flo's filet. The service, the food and drinks were so good, we both thought we were at a high end steakhouse but without the high end price tag. Highly recommend.
