My first visit will be my last. I ordered combination fried rice. There was very little meat, and what there was was small little pieces. The rice was darker than I have seen before but still was bland and flavorless. The rice was undercooked and chewy. The only ingredients that I could see were rice, meat, and a very small amount of green onion. That's it. No egg, peas, carrots, nothing else. I have to say I normally opt out of ordering Chinese because of the overly sweet, overly sauced, heavy food that I associate with Chinese. Let's just say I am not a fan of Panda Express! Favorite Chinese food place hands down and I've pretty much tried them all in the area. I always get the vegetable soup, so delicious and they are generous with it too. This is the only fried rice my picky kids will eat. Everything I've ever tried there has been good. Fast pick up orders as well. read more

This place is amazing. I may be their best customer since I order here EVERYDAY almost. They know who I am when they answer the phone. I've lived in the area for 20+ yrs. Orange chicken is very good here so is the Lo mein. Hot and sour soup very good, fried dumplings, very reasonably priced. You have to watch them as they will try and cheat you out of a dollar.... they always apologize, what I can't add. Delivery is usually quick, unless they are busy. They have $3.99 special, you can't beat it if you are on a buget... Hey upscale this is not however, large portion size, fresh, and reasonable price they have. For food I would say a three , additude a 3,they don't really care. Not friendly so don't expect it. I gave food a 3 because I have to order everything with no msg cause it gives me a migraine if they put it in, so I order no msg it's ok.inside yes very dirty , probably has mice when no 1 is there. read more

This place gave me such horrific food poisoning I spent an entire day throwing up and pooping stomach bile. This is no exaggeration, 24 hours of running in and out of the bathroom every 15 minutes. 3.99 chicken fried rice special which should have read Brown Rice special. I counted 6 medium pieces of meat in my order. The rice was gummy and very oily. Egg roll was small, but decent and egg drop soup was mostly broth. I wouldn't recommend anyone to try this restaurant. read more

Hey, pretty good! My daughter wanted dumplings so I googled restaurants near me. It's a small restaurant that I have passed many times and never even thought to enter. This place use to be the best place for Chinese food in garland but the last time I ordered here was about 2 months ago and it's been yrs since I ordered here since that. I have to say it's no longer the best place but one of the worst. I had seasons chicken and hot n sour soup. The chicken tasted old like it was either someone's left over they didn't want to throw away so they just put it on the next persons plate who also ordered the same item. Ming's is your regular neighborhood Chinese food restaurant. It's great for takeout - always quick for the order and they do great portions when you eat in as well. They're egg drop soup is pretty good otherwise nothing special. Worth stopping in or ordering out. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! My son and I went here about 2 hours ago. We wanted chinese food but wanted to try a different place than where we usually go. We saw ming's so we turned in there to try it. The place was clean and the staff seemed a little bothered. To be on the safe side my son and I both ordered chicken fried rice to go. How can you go wrong with that, right? Boy were we wrong! The rice tasted stale and old. The chicken was okay, but I had to search for what little there was, and I've never had chicken fried rice that didn't have onions, green peas and carrots in it. Love Ming's Kitchen. Don't be lazy, DINE IN! Their lunch and dinner specials come with your choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, but dine in only! I get beef broccoli and hot and sour soup - always delicious. Super affordable and scrumptious. The dinner and lunch special price difference is only some change. I order from here all the time ALL THE TIME .! But yesterday march 22 2017 I ordered from here and my chicken was COMPLETELY RAW with sauce on top . I didn't eat it until 2 hours after it arrived so I called and let them know and an older lady answered the phone saying no no no no not from here and hung up I called back and she said I didn't order from there and i let her know and she hangs up and I call back and get somebody else .. moral of the story DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE UNLESS YOU LOVE SALMONELLA AND DONT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT UNLESS YOU LOVE MOLD.! read more

I was just browsing through some of the reviews for this place and I'm surprised at some of them. I have eating here for over 12 years and have never had anything that was raw, stringy or bland. I love their hot and sour soup and the orange chicken is spicy and there is plenty of it. What sets Mings apart from most Chinese restaurants is that you get the soup and an egg roll with your meal. Other restaurants charge you extra for them. Plus, 2 people can usually eat for less than $20 at Ming's vs others where you are looking at more like $30+ if you go to decent one. Sure there are the express chains and independent fast Chinese food but those are rather bland and the sauce is usually the same no matter what you order. Not that way here. I'm sure every place can have an off day but I have no doubt the very friendly manager will make right anything that you may not like or find wrong. read more
