Superseded expectations. Staff was very friendly. Drinks were quick and food was good

The food is amazing, the owner is super nice and it's such a chill spot with some games. Bring a friend and enjoy the food!

This place!! This is the type of place that reminds me of what Seattle bars used to be like - friendly faces, good vibes, dog friendly. Jane, the owner, is phenomenal. Couldn't have asked for a better experience - 10/10 recommend. Jane even brought out rice, bacon, and blueberries for the pups on the house. New fave spot!!!

Overall this spot is nice! Kind of tucked away and hidden. The service was really nice and friendly slu and walked though the whole menu with us and what they thought was good. We picked the mussels from their thoughts and it was by far the best dish we thought. It had a lot of garlic and maybe too much in my opinion but I didn't mind too much. The bread and sauce were good. Everything' else was just alright. The enoki fritters were good, a lighter fried thing which I liked. The fries I didn't really care for, I wish there was more veggies on it and we all agreed the wings were a bit too wet and didn't have much crisp on them-- so not bad but not great wings. It's a good cute casual bar overall, don't really have any complaints just didn't like it enough I would go back.

This place is fantastic! Great service and food. The owner is the cook and she was so friendly and pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!!

I visited this restaurant recently, and while the food was fine, the service was lacking. The table we were seated at was sticky and dirty, and overall, the experience wasn't great. After leaving a review on Google, the owner responded rudely and dishonestly, falsely claiming that we sat ourselves instead of waiting to be seated. This was not true--we followed the proper process and waited to be seated. Instead of addressing the concerns professionally, they dismissed my feedback and ended their response with, "Glad you won't be coming back." I'm sharing this here because people should be aware of how this restaurant treats customer feedback. If this is how they respond to constructive criticism, I can't imagine how they handle more serious issues. Attaching a screenshot of the owner's response so you can see for yourself.

10/10 experience! We tried the dungen board + mule flight and it was yummy! All the seafood was so delicious especially with the butter dip -- only wish is for more seafood! We also didn't expect huge cups of mules for our flight so that was a really nice surprise. Highly recommend! Ambience was great and fun and service was great! Everyone seemed enthusiastic and even recommended us place to go next!

This place is such a hidden gem!!! Every single bite of food absolutely HIT. We couldn't stop eating it. A little pricey, but the vibes are good, the staff is nice, and the servings are large. Truly, everything was so umami and seasoned well. The drinks were also outstanding. We really loved the bulgogi fries and the roll. Just so good. Now that I think about it, we also really loved the pork belly too. Just such a good fun date night spot! Perfect to eat here and then have a little sunset watch at gasworks park. There is parking out front, but not free :)

I'm writing in response to "Wallingford L"'s review posted on Jan 25 2026. I was here and witnessed this interaction- first off, the waiter never told the girls to leave the table or tried to push them out, and second off the girls were not "extremely nice" when talking to the owner and actually were extremely rude and inconsiderate of a small business. Also, if these girls worked in the industry, they should understand that spending $60 total for two people, while taking up a four person table over the course of a big sporting event, isn't a lot, especially in this area in Seattle. On top of that, $8 beers and $17 cocktails are actually pretty standard drink prices for this area of Seattle. The food at Minibar is amazing, and portions are some of the most reasonable in Seattle. This entire post by them is pretty unfair and one sided from some petty Karens (who even had to call out that they were not being Karens) trying to tarnish a small business. Also another shoutout to Minibar since they are super dog friendly! They even give your dog a pup bowl so that they can eat with you!

    Beignets!

Unbelievable! Fantastic food, great staff. Very attentive. Wild drinks! Order a few tapas, you'll be very happy! Pork belly, wings, beignets are to die for!

We were a table of 4 and got seated pretty quickly. The waiter was training someone and did her best waiting all the tables. For food, we got the tteok boki and street fries to share and each got an entree. The portion size is HUGE and dishes are pretty authentic. The drinks were also really good! I especially liked the lavender lychee collins. Just a note though the prices for drinks aren't listed! The marg (kinda mediocre) and lavender lychee collins were $17 each and that flight was $40 Overall I would recommend the food and drinks there. Maybe not the marg and flights (only bc it was so expensive).

Never knew this was right across from Fremont brewery and in such a neat area. Great place to stop by after a lake day, trip in the city, or chill evening with pals. The teriyaki wings and Katsu surprised me and were flavorful and prepared well. I was excited for the fries, but wish it had more sauce and filling. The fries themselves were really good. we were the first to arrive around 630 and it quickly got packed and filled with many groups. You may need to remind them to refill water as the staff was busy and low staff. Got to chat with the owner and she was super friendly. I'm happy the business is doing well.

We ordered only from the happy hour menu because they had a ton of good sounding options there. The yakiton came first and was really greasy and black peppery. The yakitori meat was smaller than the chicken skewers I've gotten at Southeast Asian restaurants in the Seattle area, but these ones had a softer texture like teriyaki chicken. The kalbi beef was inconsistent. One of our plates had large pieces, while the other plate was full of small pieces. The smaller kalbi was drier. The bigger kalbi was chewier. I'd stick to ordering kalbi from Korean restaurants where the meat is more tender and easier to eat. The best item we ordered was the crispy chicken wings. They really were crispy - nothing like I've had before in terms of crispiness. Next time I would try the JFC to compare. Something that I didn't like was that they put both orders of the wings on the same plate instead of splitting them up. They split up the kalbi plates, but nothing else. It was ok to combine the skewers because they're so tiny, but the wings were almost falling off the plate they were on and very close to being a bad jenga situation with how they were placed.

Coming from New York City, when I hear family style I'm picturing big shareable plates for the table to be going back for seconds (maybe even THIRDS). The dishes here were quite small and very pricey, which made it hard for them to function as true family-style portions. That said, the food itself was excellent, very unique and the service was genuinely wonderful. The staff were attentive, warm, and made the whole evening feel really welcoming. I can't say enough about the staff, just SO lovely. So if you go in expecting beautifully prepared small plates rather than true family-style dining, you'll probably have a great time. Just adjust expectations on the portion sizes!

We went for the beef tartare, Chinese scallion pancake, smoked tofu, kimchi trio, spicy rice cake, Chinese broccoli, "that" short rib steak, Kalbi burger, and the kombu cured mackerel. Everything was #brokedamout. The standouts to me were the scallion pancake, short rib, Kalbi burger and mackerel. Parking is available on the street and in private lots. The bacon and shrimp dumplings were good and the sauce was excellent. But the second course, the wagyu, left a lot to be desired. Everyone got inconsistent sized portions and each of our meats were incredibly rare, so it was very chewy and hard to cut through. Sauce was good on this one as well though. Dessert was solid. So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. The nachos were probably our favorite, but they weren't anything special for $22. The Rangoon dip was mostly cream cheese and barely had any flavor.
