The mini donut factory is a very good donut. However, in the mini donuts, the main flavor (no matter what "cute flavor you order) is baking powder. The baking powder is so strong that it overwhelms anything else, which is too bad. The entire concept is wonderful. Someone needs to tweak the recipe a tiny bit and all would be perfect. I would recommend giving mini donuts a chance, maybe your taste buds are not as sensitive as mine are and the baking soda flavor won't be as strong so the actual flavor of the mini donuts will shine, as they should, because they are cute & delicious!! Apparently a new place around town. We saw it driving by and received a few coupons in the mail so were intrigued. So it's a cute little adorably designed place. Definitely feels like a donut shop. But then it's a little different. First off little is literal as in mini donuts haha. I'd say two or three mini donuts equals one normal sized one at another place. We got a box of twelve with three free ones because of coupons. To split with two people for breakfast with nothing else to eat besides drinks we ate the whole box. Dare I say we were being pretty glutinous. Lol Anyways it was more than enough to get full on and certainly didn't need the three free but they were there and free and fresh so we ate them. They were good and cute. What I really liked about the place was the fact that they do the frosting and toppings in front of you. All behind a glass wall so you can see. Just a cool concept. It also made the frosting a little pleasantly warm and just more fresh than typical donuts. The fact that they are mini also means you can get more flavors to try at once. I love variety! And while there are only a few frostings the toppings make the flavor still decently different from one donut to the next. We got hot chocolates which were fine and fresh but not very strong chocolate. Seemed just watered down or something but they added caramel flavor for us upon request so that was a nice touch. All in all a fun unique place, fresh frosted donuts and if you are not so glutinous then twelve donuts should work for probably three people or four. Though I'm no donut expert, not even particularly a fan, we got coupons in the mail. So we stopped in to give it a try. The two employees seemed disinterested in their jobs and also possibly learning the ropes. There were about a dozen choices and that was it, no straying from those choices. I believe the choices are changed from time to time. Because they are individually custom made upon ordering it would be easy enough to allow for alterations depending on one's preferences. The upshot is that the donuts were good enough, just the right size to satisfy a sweet tooth, and the price- especially with the measly coupon- is about right. read more
