Coffee was good, overpriced pre made breakfast wrap and burrito were inedible. The model wrap was made with a spinach tortilla and it was basically turned to glue by whatever re heating process they use - nuclear microwave? It was so hot it needed to cool for 20 minutes before you could take a single bite of gluey old bitter tasting wrap. The addition of arugula was just bizarre. Arugula should never be heated to 500 degrees. It should be a bright peppery green fresh addition to a wrap. Their heating process turned it into a bitter soggy sludge. It was inedible. I was a little wary of my friend's enthusiasm about the English muffins from this place initially, but I immediately understood why as soon as I took a bite into one that I lightly toasted and drizzled honey on it. OMG the biscuits!!!! Love, love, love. We went here multiple times because their biscuits are heavenly. The breakfast sandwiches (on those amazing biscuits) are also awesome. They also have nitro cold brew coffee, serve the usual coffee & latte options, and have some other nommy baked goods. It may look small and like not much, but it's a definite must-eat in Yountville! Heads up - they are closed on Tuesdays, and this is more of a place that you walk or drive and take your food elsewhere to eat. Good old fashioned walk up to a cafe stand feeling. read more

This place was so great that after having it on our first morning in Napa, we had it each of the following days for breakfast! The English Muffins are delicious - have it has a classic sandwich which ham/eggs/cheese or just with butter and their amazing raspberry jelly - you truly can't go wrong. Other options include flaky croissants and some stuffed with ham/cheese or other delectable. Pair their great baked goods with some of their tasty coffee or a hot tea. I also have to mention how absolutely adorable & whimsical this place is! Located in a little train car next to the Napa Valley Railway Inn, it is simply charming. The Model Bakery's newest location. They're part of a hotel made from converted train cars. It's a whimsical place. Due to the recent fires, their hours have been shortened. A friendly barista still made an iced coffee, and I tipped for her amiability, since it wasn't clear whether they were open, shut, or simply closed for lunch. Their iced coffee is excellent, brewed with Portland's very own Stumptown. The Model Bakery says they've proudly brewed it since 2015 (thanks, IFC's Portlandia) It was good for the drive home, and dealing with traffic. read more

Five stars alone for Oprah's featured english muffin (MUST get with JAM AND BUTTER!) My cousins and I arrived early before our reservation with The French Laundry and wanted some coffee. I couldn't resist getting the english muffin too and glad I did. It was a great way to start out my morning. The heated baked good was so great to hold and munch on in the cold spring morning. I love coming here and Model is much better than Bouchon (which I suspect is French for "glazed cardboard") but c'mon Model you've been here for years and you still can't manage to have enough bakery and food items for ALL your customers. I like to come for breakfast at my leisure but items often sell out as early as 8:30. When you're consistently turning away customers at 9:30 - 10am you're loosing money and tips. What is the procedure when filling a beverage with a specified choice of milk? This is my second time ordering from the location in Yountville and receiving my beverage with it filled no where near close to the rim. I could understand it not being filled to the rim but I can feel the empty space within my 8ounce cup before even opening the lid to check. I would like to know if this is how it's always going to be when I order from here. I ordered an 8ounce soy vanilla milk beverage and I don't even taste the vanilla. If my total is adding up to around $6.75 for all these add ons for the smallest size I would expect to at least taste the flavoring. Its a treat to get flavored coffee. The English muffins are awesome. We bought them online before but this was the chance to get them fresh in sandwich form, with egg, Swiss, ham, and bacon. Very tasty, smokey bacon and ham, but different from just having the muffin straight, delicious with butter and/or jam. We tried the croissant but the muffin is still the one to get. read more

My only wish is that they stocked up more on their items. They're often out of multiple items on their menu, even early in the morning, which just doesn't seem to make sense. As espresso drink snobs from Portland, we were thrilled to find the Mini Model Bakery in Yountville with Gaby, the best barista we found in the whole Napa Valley. The only things worth coming here for are the famous English muffins and maybe the coffee (specially the Matcha lavender latte). Get yourself a pack of muffins to take home--they are THAT good! Their breakfast sandwiches and burritos come pre-made and reheated. I had the bacon/egg burrito and it wasn't good. If you get there close to closing time, their ovens will be off and they won't warm up any of your pastries. We got there 5 minutes to closing once and we were curtly told that "the oven's off, so we can't reheat your pastries". The banana bread and croissant we ordered were stale. Very disappointing experience, but at least we got the English muffin we came for. Customer service is just OK--I wouldn't recommend anything from here other than the English muffin. Usually no line for this place, but I think people are still getting to know it/it's a little pop-up looking spot (their full store is down the road in St. Helena). read more

Super slow service. After waiting 15 min for 2 egg and cheese english muffins and I jump in my car they are both wrong! I got a fritatta and tomato english muffin which now I had to wait another 10 minutes for it. Employees dont care if you have been waiting. And also its the first time I come and the cashier tells me I do not get a Bouchon employees discount when we do get one and I have always been granted one. Overpriced but only come for the discount. I decided to pick up our coffee and breakfast here based on the yelp reviews... and I didn't want to wait in the long line at Bouchon. First off our latte and cappuccino. Excellent! Whatever beans they are using made them smooth and delicious! The sausage breakfast sandwich was delicious although thrown together. When they removed it from the oven it toppled over and they just wrapped it up as is... so eating it was a delicious mess. The sausage and the red sauce were tasty, the egg was a little rubbery like it had been microwaved. Overall it was a good breakfast sandwich. The spinach and feta croissant was amazing! Lastly we had a slice of the lemon poppyseed loaf. Yes please, may I have another? I'd give them 5 stars if it was purely based on taste, 4 stars for the efficient staff, 3 stars for the care and workmanship in handling the sandwich. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. If you have nut allergies stay clear from this place. Not only do they advertise that their food might have nuts in them, they have the worst customer service on top of that. Upon ordering the cinnamon roll and taking it to a table outside, took one bite and immediately tasted the walnut, Spit it out and ran to the counter to let them know they should advertise that there are nuts for people who have allergies. The girl was very rude and rolled her eyes while continuing to make a coffee.. Love love MiniModel. We first came to Yountville and waited in the HUGE line for Bouchon Bakery. I just wanted coffee! We noticed this cute coffee stand just across the street and decided to give it a shot. It's just what we were looking for. A local no frills coffee place. Not to mention our same order was $10 less!! The mugs are big and your froth gets a heart - even in your to go cup. They also serve Oprahs favorite English muffins with butter and jam - a must try. Pups are welcome and they offer treats and have a water bowl available. Most importantly... the coffee is great!!!! read more

I placed an online order in the morning for a pickup two hours later. Their packs of 6 English muffins were all sold out, but I was able to order 8 individual English muffins and a coffee drink. Arrived on time to pick up my order, only to find out that my order "didn't go through," even though I was charged for them when the order was placed. So by the time I arrived, they were all sold out. The employees were able to find my order in their system and cancel the English muffins, so how did my order not go through? Never again. My husband and I were excited to see the mini model in Yountville since we love the one in St. Helena. However, after waiting 35 minutes for two breakfast sandwiches we got back to our hotel room to discover that we hadn't received what we'd ordered. When we went back to the bakery to tell them, they said they were out of sausage for our sausage sandwich so they had just substituted the ham sandwich without informing us. We aren't ham fans, so after 45 minutes we ended up without breakfast and incredibly irritated. They refunded our sandwich, which I did appreciate, but I'm still hungry and breakfast-less. There are other bakeries and breakfast spots in town--I'll make sure to patronize those other options in the future. read more
