I just made a Thanksgiving leftovers panini with Model's English muffins and OMG it was incredible. I can see why the muffins were on Oprah's Favorite Things. They were pillowy and buttery. They have a little smaller selection than the Model out at Oxbow Public Market in Napa (e.g., they didn't have apple flavored English muffins), but they still had a fair amount and in a great little location. No line compared to Bouchon Bakery's 20 minute wait! read more

The coffee left me wanting. I struggled over 3 or 4 stars as I really appreciate good coffee. The coffee needed to be better. It was more of standard diner coffee than really good coffee shop coffee. But the food took it up to 4 stars. If they fix the coffee then 5 stars for sure. Yountville is nice enough that you can take your food to go, so don't expect to stay and eat. At 9:55 I went into the bakery and asked for my order. One of the employees said that they haven't started the order yet but will call my name when it's ready. Eleven minutes later I went back into the bakery and asked if it's ready. He said no, then went on to say that they were busy and had no idea when it was going to be ready. Oh my goodness...probably one of the BEST breakfast sandwiches i have ever had in my life!! I ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich, an apricot scone, and a small matcha latte. Everything was great aside from the man who passed by screaming "Welcome to Napa, now go home!!" ...that was awkward. Service was really quick and we ordered through the window. There was basically no line in front at 10am on a Saturday. Breakfast sandwich - huge portion of egg and sausage..but it was the english muffin and red pepper spread that was frickin delicious!! My boyfriend wanted to deconstruct it cuz he wanted the low carb version, but after tasting the English muffin..he was like..nope! That sucker stays together! Apricot Scone - I'm generally a huge fan of scones..but the sugar sprinkled on top was not my favorite. Made it harder and a little too sweet, but again, boyfriend vetoed and said it was the most delicious scone ever. lol.. Matcha Latte could've been hotter, but it was still so good and lightly sweetened. So early, i've never tried them :P I was, however, at yountville early enough this time around to grab a coffee before they closed. They have THE BEST coffee in napa. I loved their cappuccino so much, I bought a second cup. (normally I'll have less than 1/2 a cup). Also purchased the cranberry walnut bread from the model bakery location in st. helena Main st. I personally like the acme bread cranberry walnut a bit more, but this one's lighter and hence, probably healthier. Please open a model bakery coffee stand in San Francisco :) read more

Oooh the hype on these english muffins did not disappoint. As we walked away from the bakery with our bag of muffins, several people called out to us how they were envious of our stash. We hadn't even tried them at this point but we knew we were in for a treat! We had been eating so much already we had to save them a full 24 hours before getting to try one... and even after waiting a full day from bringing them home, they were absolutely phenomenal. I have no idea what they did to make them so soft and pillowy on the inside, yet crisp and buttery on the outside. I also love an English muffin covered in cornmeal, and this had plenty! I really can't say much more about this muffin - you really just have to try it. The little storefront itself is tiny but very cute and neighboring a bed& breakfast. They make it clear to their customers that people may still be sleeping, so to keep it quiet in line! The Model Bakery is probably better than Bouchon Bakery. If you're in Yountville looking for a delicious and quick breakfast, this is the place to go. The honey black tea latte was just right, and the flavor in the lavender latte was smooth without being overwhelming or too sweet. They have multiple dairy free options. I wanted to try the almond milk matcha lavender latte, which is just another reason to return. There isn't much outdoor seating which is a shame, but they do have a sit-down style restaurant a couple miles away in Napa. The raspberry croissant was a wonderful breakfast, it was flaky and sweet, but nothing compared to the English muffins. They were simultaneously light and crisp. The outsides were perfectly cooked, allowing for a nice crunch when you bite into it. The insides were fluffy and airy(it was physically light when you picked it up). Reminded me of a doughnut! I went there at 10:30 am and managed to buy a six pack of the muffins, but I can tell that's only because of the Covid-19. When things go back to normal, I'd suggest getting there quite a bit earlier. read more

We had to check out if they had their world famous English Muffins, which is on Oprah's Favorites Things list. Yes, they do! This location just opened on June 2nd and is a smaller version of their other bakeries in St. Helena and Napa. They have a couple of tables and a long bar table for customers to enjoy their food. They offer hot and cold coffees and teas and muffins, scones, cookies, parfaits and sandwiches and of course their English Muffins. You can get the muffins individually or in 6-packs. I ordered and Americano and my boyfriend ordered a coffee. Definitely the best we had in the Napa area. They also don't cheat you on the espresso shots despite how small the cup looks! We both ordered a breakfast sandwich on their famous english muffin. I'm always skeptical when I see a restaurant talk about how amazing a particular item on the menu is...in this case it was the english muffin. It's more dense, large and buttery than a traditional english muffin, which is actually what makes it amazing. We were out with friends to pick up our wine shipment and do a little wine tasting. We always head out late morning to beat the rush with others going out in the mid to late afternoon. So, we decided to stop by here because Oprah said so and when Oprah says so.... Yeah, I know I know. We got there and they were out of the English Muffins Oprah LOVED so much so we had to order a few different items. I would suggest to get there early if you want the Oprah's English muffins because it's a tiny little store that doesn't have a lot of room for inventory. We were there around 11 AM and they were out so that would be my advice to you. I did order the sausage breakfast sandwich and it was phenomenal. I was completely happy with their sandwich and would get it again. Adjacent to the V Marketplace across from Buchon in a sweet little caboose, this charming walk-up only spot serves up Stumptown roasters and the famous "Oprah" English muffins. As we had reservations for breakfast elsewhere we passed o. The muffins today but I think we'll be making a special trip back here tomorrow before heading home - they looked that good! This was a hole in the wall place, over rated imho. They have a lot of breakfast sandwich options, and they have some pastries. We got the sausage breakfast sandwich, their would famous muffin with cream cheese, and a couple of pastries (morning bun and custard danish) - both were cold and sucked. Bread was dry and if it weren't 60 outside, I would have guessed they were baked yesterday. The breakfast sandwich was ok, but egg wasn't a real egg (some processed egg that had a slightly gelatin like texture). And the world famous muffin with cream cheese - that was literally a toasted muffin with your run of the mill cream cheese on the side (not even applied on the muffin, and it was cold so not really spreadable). So if you were looking to try something different in Yountville because you saw that ridiculous line at Bouchon Bakery, don't... just stand in that line. read more

My friend and I decided to try this place because it has such high ratings. Staff was friendly enough. I went with a caramel latte and a slice of banana nut bread. I prefer sweet coffee and this was extremely bitter and lacked caramel flavor. They did make a leaf foam design that was cute. The banana bread was the driest piece I have ever had in my entire life. We both threw our orders in the trash. I would not return and do not recommend . Now there was a place on the same street that had a line out to the road. I arrived at 715 am and ordered an Iced Mocha Latte with almond milk, a sausage breakfast sandwich, and the half dozen English muffins. It was about a 15 minute wait for both, although there was only one person ahead of me. Not a problem, I would just be aware that they are short staffed and to remain patient. They have a sign posting this information, as well. The location is tiny but cute, with a bench and two bistro tables for seating. The Iced Mocha Latte was fine, but nothing special, and a little watery. I would say this is the perfect afternoon coffee that won't make you jittery, but it won't do the job first thing in the morning. The sausage breakfast sandwich was so good! The sausage was a little spicy, with yummy cheese and chipotle aioili on an English muffin. Perfect if you're about to booze all day or for a morning after hangover.
