    Sausage Breakfast Sandwich
    Aileen L.

I stopped by Mini Model on our way up to St Helena just before their closing time on a Saturday, and snagged a quick snack. The space is just a little two window setup for ordering and pick-up; super cute and quick service. I got the sausage breakfast sandwich, and it came out piping-hot. This was my first time having a Model Bakery english muffin, and I was honestly shocked by how shatteringly crisp the exterior was and how fluffy soft the inside was. The aioli, cheese, sausage, and thick egg patty made for a hearty breakfast sandwich that was super tasty. Get yourself to any of the Model Bakery locations - the english muffins truly are life changing.

We were in yountville for the day and started with mini model. Small shack located diagonally across the street from bouchon bakery. Line is shorter but there are fewer staff so you may end up waiting just as long if not longer for your order. We ordered one breakfast sandwich and it took about 20-25 min. We ordered via DoorDash to use our csr credit. However be forwarded everything is a few dollars more via dd pickup.

Very short line compared to Bouchon Bakery. The heavy breakfast sandwich is a solid (affordable) base for a day of wine tasting. Can't go wrong with any pastries either, and definitely pick up a pack of English muffins for home!

Wow this place exceeded my expectations. A small but mighty place. They weren't kidding when they say they're English muffins are world famous worthy. I've never had an English muffin like it. Fluffy but crispy and perfectly paired with the egg and cheddar. The matcha was also very good! Would definitely recommend.

Must come back early to try their breakfast sandwiches and wraps. They sell out early. Tried the English muffin with butter and raspberry jam which was delicious!

We grabbed coffees & a banana walnut muffin, all good. The coffee quality is good, not bitter. I really enjoyed my latte. The banana walnut muffin was also fresh and flavorful. Not sure about food options but great stop to get a coffee & quick snack. Service was fine, it's a grab & go. Wait time was fine. I liked the overall style & wooden deck.

I can see why these are Oprah's favorite English muffins. The English muffins were fluffy and buttery and paired well with the sausage and egg. The coffee was standard but still good! The service was great and they were super friendly!

Model Bakery has been a fixture in Sonoma County for decades. The reason is that their products are awesome. This is a distribution satellite and no baking is done here. No matter, it was fresh. This location is a old raid car and is a order at the window place. In my scoring system, this loses a star as there is not table service to judge. The service was very quick. This is in stark contrast to its famed neighbor across the way. There is a small amount of spartan seating which is fine by me. The Food. It's a mistake not to get something including. the famed english muffin featured on Oprah and shipped around the world. It's quite good. Not sure i would travel from Paris to sample, but a solid choice. Frankly, if you need breakfast, this is the place in yountville not Bouchon across the street where it takes 45 minutes to get a coffee and bakery item. Bouchons stuff is stale, Model is fresh

Mini Model...a cute little outpost of the larger Model Bakery in St Helena and in Napa. Home of Oprah's favorite English Muffins! Order at one window and pick up at the other. There are a few outdoor seats, or take your items to go. In addition to the English muffins, they offer a variety of delicious-looking baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. We ordered lattes. They now use Caffe Vita beans (out of Seattle). I was surprised that they don't partner with a local, CA roaster. But we enjoyed the smooth, and easy to drink bevvies. We purchased a 6-pack of the English muffins for home and tried one so far. Large, buttery, and delicious.

Mini Model Bakery is a super cute little coffee shop and bakery to stop by at. In my personal opinion their pastries and drinks are not the best. If you really want a good bakery, go to Bouchon or Honor Market, both having great selections. The service is pretty quick but not the fastest. They also do not have much seating whereas Honor Market does. If you are looking for a quick place to pick up breakfast I would recommend choosing other options nearby.

This mini model bakery is such a dream! There was a line (understandably), but it went super fast. I am a gluten free gal, and I LOVE that there are options for me. I got a breakfast burrito which was delicious and I devoured it! My friends loved their pastries and english muffins, and we all loved our drinks as well. Although I'm not from the area, if I was, I'd be there all the time and my wallet would suffer.

The latte with oat milk was very good. I also ordered my husband a dry cappuccino and they had to remake it because they added milk.

The place is small, but there's a lot going on. The smell hit me as soon as I walked in. Fresh bread, butter, pastries... basically everything I want to smell in the morning. The staff was really friendly, too. There were so many things to choose from that it honestly took me a minute to decide. Baguettes, sandwiches, pastries, and all kinds of baked goods. I kept looking around thinking I should've gotten something else. I ended up going with the kouign amann. I'd never had one before, and it was kind of like a croissant and a donut had a baby. The inside had those flaky, buttery layers you'd expect from a croissant, but the outside was covered in caramelized sugar that baked into this golden, crunchy shell. It had a nice crack when I bit into it, then turned soft and buttery inside. The caramelized sugar gave it this toasted, almost caramel flavor without making it overly sweet. Simple, but really good with that buttery richness. Definitely a good way to start the morning.

They have a combination of standard flavors (think espresso, pistachio, chocolate) and unique sweet and savory options. It's a small storefront with two tables inside and some outdoor seating. The service was friendly and quick as well. We got 3 macarons to try for $10 - a lavender, watermelon tajin, and apple gorgonzola. Surprisingly the lavender was my least favorite despite us choosing it as a "safe" option - the filling was almost soapy in taste and felt slightly gritty/oily. The watermelon tajin had the flavor of a jolly rancher and also bubblegum and was very unique and interesting to try. The apple gorgonzola was likely my favorite, with the macarons have a sour apple taste and the filling being more creamy with buts of funk and umami from the gorgonzola cutting through. Overall, lots of unique fun flavors at Madeline's and I'm glad I gave it a try! I'm definitely impressed by how they were able to capture this wide variety of flavors in macaron form, and the macaron cookies themseslves are wonderful in texture.

The Earl Grey dark chocolate was also incredibly good. While the richness of the dark chocolate leans slightly dominant, you can still catch those subtle, fragrant notes of Earl Grey in each bite. At around $3 per bonbon, it's definitely on the pricier side--but considering the quality, creativity, and variety of flavors, I think it's completely justified. It's especially heartbreaking to share that this is widely considered one of the best artisan chocolate shops in California, and they're now closing their only store in Yountville due to slow business and rising costs. Losing a place like this feels like losing a true gem. If you're anywhere near Yountville, make the trip and show them some love while you still can.

What I got for $14 was two slices of very dry bread, a stack of thin turkey slices, two curled pieces of mild cheddar cheese (on a turkey sandwich?), a single limp leaf of lettuce and a packet of yellow mustard (Heinz) and mayo. No tomato, no seasoning, no balance of flavors. Just dry bread, turkey, and cheese that doesn't even belong on this type of sandwich. The wrap didn't list ingredients and the deli counter was closed, so there was no way to ask questions or customize anything. I ended up stuck with a premade option that felt like something from a hospital cafeteria rather than a market in the Napa Valley. The bread could have saved it, but even that was just a bland sweet roll with no texture or character. For $13+ they could at least use a decent bread from one of the many local bakeries. As a local, it's disappointing because visitors assume places in Yountville will reflect the food reputation of the area. Unfortunately this didn't come close. I've seen similar feedback in other reviews for the deli, and after this experience I understand why. The sad part is those reviews date back for years and they have obviously fallen on deaf ears. Vote with your dollars folks. If you're heading up valley and want a good sandwich, you're honestly better off stopping at Genova in Napa on the way or continuing just a few minutes up the road to Oakville Grocery. If you only need a quick bottle of wine this is a place for you. I rarely say this, but this was a "never again" for me.

I think she is also the bartender and the little pub next to the restaurant. Right away, she was unfriendly and stand offish. I was picking up several orders and each had prices that differed from what was online. When I told her, she didn't care. She said that's and old menu. When she got to my order, she looked and me and said, you had a ham and cheese omelet with an English muffin on the side? I told her that the menu said it came with it and I wasn't told it was extra. She said "well, I didn't answer the phone." She was very rude. I would have paid the extra price. The price wasn't the issue, even though the online menu didn't match what I was charged. I know she isn't in charge of menu price, but you don't have to be rude to a customer. I was so disgusted about the way she was glaring and me and speaking to me, I canceled my order. She looked at me and said, that's fine. Not once, did she try to remedy the situation. What really concerns me is that this restaurant is at the Veterans home.
