I have to mention Ric Bakutis Service Manager and Jonathan Bauknecht Service Advisor for extraordinary customer service and advocacy. My 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman had engine malfunction light come on and was found to have turbo failure which consequently needed to be replaced. I didn't feel that the part should have failed since it was just replaced 2.5 years ago and only 17000 miles later. It was replaced at 70000 miles and 7th year of cars life. At that time they both advocated for me when I filed a complaint with Mini (BMW) corporate office customer service. That time Mini assumed the full cost of the part, even though it was out of warranty, but the car was meticulously maintained at the same Mini of North Scottsdale service center since purchase. The service provided deep discount on the labor and made it possible to avoid $5250 part and labor charge. Mini agreed that the failure was premature considering the car service records, but not without Ric and Jon's help. Well since the part failed again so soon and the repair on an aged car was basically catastrophically expensive I filed another complaint with the Mini. I spoke to Jon and Ric again asking for their help and boy did they come through again. They helped making the case with BMW corp. and Mini covered 50% of parts while Mini of North Scottsdale service center assumed entire labor charge, again making it possible to have our car repaired. I can't say enough praise about my experience and say that Jon and Ric saved the face of the brand, represented their dealership and Penske corporate with pride in a best possible light. Ok i brought my mini to scottsdale mini they had replaced. My key. Footwell moduel. Moduel under the dash said my computer was bad. Ok i payed them 2300 bucks car still didnt run they gave me back the car not running ok pissed off. And they wanted 2000 for a computer. And 1000 for fuel system fix. So. Now i have 2000 for the car 2300 in repairs so far so. I took the car to a locksmith they programed the car now it runs. For 1200 for 5500 i have a 2008 mini. Not good if they programed the car fully which they didnt. It would have worked the locksmith didnt buy parts just programing it. Dont let the dealership work on your car ever they rip u off. I have a service experience.. mini said I needed $3000! Of repairs... I took car to my mechanic of 30 yrs... no repairs needed!! This is a good place to get screwed . Experience; leased Mini 3 yrs 36 K miles BEWARE ....of their interpretation of normal wear... $500 brakes , Windshield rock.. replace windshield, RIMS curb abrasion $800, run flat tires $1000... the car must be " showroom conditions"... they are money grabbing crooks ... This is the only game in town for MINI warranty work. Shame there isn't an option somewhere near the city. I've only had one visit, so I'm basing this off that one experience. I called and Justin Gray was kind enough to look up my car's warranty information and everything else about my 3 year old car that I'd just purchased. He proceeded to tell me that all of my maintenance was included, sweet, but when I tried to make a reservation, he told me cannot take them. This was weird, as all of my VW/Audi experiences the advisors themselves had the power to take a reservation, even though there was a reservation girl. Ok whatever, I'll go with it. The girl taking the reservation ended up having to call Justin to find out if they had the correct part in to do the work... so do you think we could have just eliminated the middle man? Secondly, there are no complimentary loaner cars. Again I'm going to relate this to my VW/Audi experiences, where they would always provide me with a complimentary loaner, even if it was just one afternoons worth of work. Instead, I had to pay Hertz $6, not like it is a lot, but it's the principle of it. Do not let them wash your car. Whatever kind of oil they use is a dust magnet, they don't wash it correctly, and miss a lot of places. It actually made me kind of nervous after seeing what they did beacause it was obvious it was done in a careless manner. I also don't like when people move my seat... you're only driving my car for a number of feet, not from here to Chicago, you don't have to move it for that. Leave it be. On positive notes every service person I encountered was courteous, helpful, and efficent. It was obvious management was making them do certain things in certain ways that didn't always make sense, but that wasn't their fault. Inspection 1 with oil change and all only took about 4 hours which isn't bad for a dealer. I was pleased with the courteous service and efficency. read more

We weren't in the market for a MINI, but we did see online that MINI North Scottsdale had a used 2013 Honda Pilot for sale. I called this dealership and spoke with Jen, who checked to make sure the Pilot was still in their inventory. When we showed up, we met sales associate Bill Bailey and he let us test drive the vehicle. Bill didn't know much about the Pilot, but then again it is a MINI dealership. The Pilot was a standard 2013 LX, no extras, with 15k miles. There was some soda spattered on the interior and a couple of scratches on the paint. They had completely replaced the brake pads and rotors, which concerned me because I wasn't sure how hard the first owner had driven this vehicle. Sticker price was $25,995, about $600 higher than KBB price for excellent condition. We came in with our own financing and the first thing they did was ask how much we were approved for. Not a good start. Then they told us that after taxes and fees, we would be paying $29,500. Since we already knew we could get a deal for a 2014 Pilot at $31,000 out the door, you can imagine that the $29.5k price did not go over well. We offered $25k, then upped our offer to $26k when they refused. We were willing to negotiate. They were not. The sales manager came out and tried to tell us that he "can't do anything about taxes," apparently forgetting that the base price does have some effect on the taxes charged. He said his last offer was $28k out the door. We promptly drove to Arrowhead Honda and bought a 2014 Pilot with 7 miles on it for $31k out the door. Your loss, MINI North Scottsdale. EDIT: A service rep contacted me after I left this review, asking me for my contact info so a manager could talk to me. I responded with my contact info. I've heard nothing back after a month. Also, I just checked their inventory online and not only do they still have this Honda Pilot, they have also dropped the sticker price to $24,999. You missed out on a clean sale a month ago on this vehicle because you didn't want to negotiate, MINI North Scottsdale, and now you're still stuck with the same vehicle, asking about the price we offered. I do love my 2014 Honda Pilot, but it irks me that I could have saved money and you could have made money, but neither of us got what we wanted because of your stupidity. After looking online for months, I finally found a car that fit my needs. I went into MINI of North Scottsdale to look at the car. I met with Peter, and on a hot Arizona Saturday looked at and drove the car. Peter was nice enough, but after the test drive we went inside, and we were not offered water, coffee, or really anything (Usually standard for a dealership). I told Peter I would think about the car, and he made a commitment to calling me on Wednesday. On Wednesday I didn't hear from Peter. Finally, around 1pm I called him... No answer. I left a message. Around 3pm I decided to go to the dealership; which is 18 miles from my home. The front desk lady couldn't take her eyes off of her phone to greet us. Peter finished talking with his coworkers, and greeted us at the front. We took another test drive on the freeway, and sat down to discuss numbers. They wanted $2000 over bluebook value, and refused to budge. Frankly, it seemed as if Peter didn't really care if I bought the car. I was waiting for a check to come in so I could make a large down payment. Peter said we would deal with it on Monday, when he came back from his vacation, and left me by saying, "Maybe the car will get sold, and maybe not, but we can talk on Monday." He made another commitment to call me. At the time of writing this review, it is Tuesday, and I haven't heard from anyone at MINI of North Scottsdale. I guess they don't need the business.... They must have met their sales quota for the month. Update: I don't know if you can see the comment left by the dealership, but they told me to contact James Kelly, I did, and haven't heard from him either. Unfortunately, the parent company Penske Automotive owns a lot of dealerships in the Phoenix area. They are very difficult to avoid, if you can, GREAT, but otherwise be careful my friends, and insist on great customer service. Cheers. read more

As second time MINI owners from the Penske dealership in North Scottsdale, and 5 time purchasers from their sister dealerships (BMW, Porsche), I wish I had a better experience to report. Upon ordering our newest 2015 MINI in September 2014, I asked that the key be scanned (this is the method used to determine what services are needed on your vehicle - called CBS - Condition Based Service, along with periodic Inspections to determine what repairs and maintenance are recommended and required) on the current 2009 MINI so we would know what service needed to be performed under either the then in-effect Warranty or Pre-paid Maintenance contract purchased from the dealership. "The response was "no services needed - you're good to go". Move the clock ahead to December with the new 2015 MINI delivered and the existing (2009) taken in for the last service inspection and a battery replacement before handing it over to the niece for it's next adventures. Surprise!! You need almost $3,000 in service and by the way, the warranty and the Pre-paid Maintenance contracts expired 2 weeks ago! Well, I have got to say, I'm a little upset and certainly embarrassed and more-so regretful I purchased another MINI from Penske at MINI of North Scottsdale along with an Extended Warranty and Pre-Paid Maintenance contract that they seem to have problems honoring unless it is in their favor. When I contacted the Service Manager in person during the drop-off and before the work "needed" was performed, he assured me they would look into this and take care of it. After first denying the key was ever scanned in September, and with "some digging on their part", they found the key scan I spoke of, admitted some responsibility for their mess up on that end, proceeded to perform the "needed" service work and then delivered the MINI to me 2 days later along with a bill for services not covered or made right by them for $2,176.28. This was in addition to the new battery I purchased earlier that week from their dealership for an additional over $200. First, thank you Penske for the token discounts you told me you applied to the final billing and second, shame on you for the other charges that the majority of which, should have clearly been covered under your Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Warranty or Pre-Paid Maintenance had your employees done the right thing. Consider your next MINI North Scottsdale and Penske purchase carefully, I know I certainly will based on this last experience from them! I have left 2 requests for contact by MINI North America and MINI North Scottsdale. If they do contact me and either correct these mistakes or convince me that I am an idiot and have unrealistic expectations and understandings of how this Warranty, CBS and Pre-Paid Maintenance stuff should work, I certainly will update this review. Right now, I have to give MINI North Scottsdale and Penske Automotive in Scottsdale the booger of the year award. UPDATE: 1/6/2015 I spoke with Tracy and Cory, both from MINI today in an effort to resolve the issues above. While I am still left with some overall questions on this whole matter and specifically the coverage (or lack there of) provided under both the Warranty and the Pre-Paid Maintenance program that have been covered in past visits, I have agreed to stop expending any further efforts and let this matter rest. While certain of the services on prior visits were covered under one or both of these programs, I am told that the recent services rendered were not because the "Key" when scanned told them it wasn't. pretty Smart Key don't you think? It knows about tires, belts, hoses, brakes, fluids, electronics; apparently everything - even without sensors? Since I the customer never get to see the "Key Scan" and since I really have very little in writing to detail those specifics of the scan or the coverage afforded under the warranty of maintenance, I am forced to rely on their verbal representation. Sometimes things will be covered, sometimes they won't. Take out your crystal ball and make your best guess as to when they will. Based on this overall experience and the changes in the wind, I will carefully review the new Extended Warranty and Pre-Paid Maintenance coverage for the newest MINI purchased from them and may ultimately decide to cancel both of these since the coverage policy appears to be changing or can be bent to suit the flavor of the day and may not the best fit. In summary, MINI did extend an "Olive Branch" to make this situation go away. While I don't agree with the entirety of the policies of BMW, MINI or the Penske Dealership that really seem to have evolved (not in favor of the customer) over the months since first purchase of a vehicle from them, and feel more could have been done, I am moving on. Advice -- check your paperwork, GET IT IN WRITING (good luck there) and happy motoring. Based on this update I have added 1 more star to my rating. read more

My last experience at Mini was pretty sub par. We had to wait almost 30 minutes when we dropped off our car for service before we were helped. We own a Mercedes, and they would have NEVER had us wait that long. Their service is almost instantaneous. We also had to wait 2 days to have the car repaired, because their rep didn't return my VM until several hours later and they already "sold" the tires there were supposed to use to replace the tires on my car. Then when I arrived to pick up my car I waited several minutes while a woman cut in front of me to ask a question about her car, that was not even being repaired, and 3-4 service reps were crowded in an office, but none rushed out to help me so I didn't have to wait. Based on my last experience I'd have to say I'd seriously consider never buying another mini if my experience with maintenance care continued to be the same. read more

Had routine service today at MINI North Scottsdale. The dealer already charges top dollar already for service. They tell you up front how much each service costs, like $129 for an oil change. That's fine. What they don't tell you is the additional approximate 10% shop charge to the final bill added without notifying clients up front. That is in addition to the $20 for a loaner. Bottom line, the service is fine but I dislike being nickeled and dimed. read more

I like that the salesperson are not all over your shxt, standing right behind you like your shadow, etc. The guy was causal cool. Worked up a creation mini and the cost. I've been going to MINI of North Scottsdale since I bought my first MINI Cooper from them in 2006. I'm on my second one (a 2011 MINI Cooper S Convertible bought in October 2010) and the buying process was smooth, hassle-free, and low pressure. I've bought a number of cars, both used and new, and MNS is easily the most pleasant experience I've had. Their service has improved considerably over the years. I love MINI's three-year, 36,000 mile maintenance warranty and MNS makes it even better by over-delivering. Their prices outside the warranty are higher than I'd prefer, but I really don't know if they're more than I'd expect. They've started using MINIs for loaners (love that) and fully comp the rental if you have to go to the on-site Hertz or Avis (can't remember which) when they don't have any MINIs available. (They used to make you pay a flat fee of $9.95 per day so getting rid of that is just great.) One time I had service and needed a loaner. The loaner's gas tank was not full and I ended up having to spend $15 because I hadn't noticed it until I left the premises. I was pretty upset about it and Matt really wowed me when he made it right. read more

I've only experienced the service aspect of this dealership. I've been 3-4 times to get my car serviced. I was matched with one service agent who was always pleasant although never terribly personable. There are usually guys waiting outside to take your keys, and the lady behind the service desk is always sweet and cheerful. I've had some mixed experiences but at the end of the day, Gary, their service manager, knows how to make it right. The key is to fill out the survey they email you after your visit. Once I pulled up to the service entrance and there was no one there, so I walked inside and looked around and waited for a few minutes until someone approached me. That same visit I picked up my car and had some minor issues fixed, and the service agent didn't verbally tell me what had been done, I had to read it off my receipt. The service manager followed up with me via email several days after and offered a free detail for the less then stellar experience. Pretty amazing, right? Another time I was unhappy with the way I was treated, and one of my issues was still not fixed. A few days later after filling out my survey, Gary called me to talk about the experience and offer to make it right in any way he could. I appreciate that follow up immensely. They value customer feedback and that's the kind of business I support. read more

I would leave negative stars if I could. I brought my mini in to Scottsdale mini in March for factory recall thermostat which was leaking. I requested they replace the crossover water pipe when they did the thermostat. I got the car back and they stated the crossover pipe did not need to be replaced. The crossover pipe completely disintegrated at one end and was cracked at the other within 3 months of which they wanted to charge me $2200 to replace the water pump and crossover pipe. They put in a new thermostat mated to a cracked water pipe. Complete incompetence! I had a discussion with the service manager and technician and they said they do not replace parts that are not broken even if I ask for it yet they replaced a water pump pulley that was not broken. They are crooks and incompetent. I replaced the crossover pipe myself saving $2200 and knowing the job would be done correctly. I would sell my mini before bringing it back to Scottsdale Mini. read more

I purchased my Mini from North Scottsdale in 2009. After researching Mini's for a couple of years, I knew exactly what I wanted-from the specific options to the paint. My specific car was not in stock, but the sales person located my exact dream car, in transit to another dealership, and re-routed it. The day it was ready for pick up, the sales person Greg, turned it into a big event and had it waiting underneath a car cover for the big reveal. He took about 2 hours walking me through all the features. Three years later, and I love it as much as I did on day one. North Scottsdale Mini has been my sole service provider for the past 3 years. In that time, I have had to be towed in once (pump failure) and had two recalls. One of those being related to the pump. Additionally, I have had annual maintenance performed. Overall, my experience with the dealership has been excellent. I have never had a problem getting my car into the dealership when necessary, and have always been provided with a loaner (originally $10 per day, now free.) The service has always been explained, my receipt detailed, and my car sparkly clean. I would recommend this dealership without hesitation. Negatives? Although the maintenance is suppossed to be inclusive, I've had optional treatments recommended that were not included in the maintenance warranty. I declined them, and there was no additional pressure. The flat run tires are terrible. I've had to replace them with a good traditional tire. read more

Brought my wife's Mini Cooper in for what seemed to be a transmission repair. The vehicle was under Carmax's extended service plan so I wasn't worried about it to much. A day later I get a call that the car was ready and that the transmission wasn't the issue. Turned out to be bad gas, previous owners had not put in premium. Scott was freaking amazing! He was able to help me out and bring the cost down to what I would have originally paid. Wonderful service, will never go anywhere else. I even got a sweet loaner. I made the mistake of getting a Mini 2 & a half years ago. I've never leased a car before this one, & I cannot wait for the lease to be up. I hate this car. The first summer, I realized the AC wasn't keeping up with the Phoenix heat. I have to wait in a pickup line in my car to get my child from summer school. The AC doesn't work when the car is idling, so I brought it here. They basically told me there's nothing wrong with it; that's just the way it is. OMG 3 years if this?!? I sit on a towel and keep an ice pack with me. Just today I brought it in for a routine service & found out THEY CHARGE YOU FOR A LOANER CAR NOW! Hello? That's not a courtesy car, that's a rental car! It's $20. Mini sucks. read more

I purchased my 2006 used Mini from Toyota Camelback about 3 years ago. Since then I've taken my mini into the dealer about 4 times for various reasons. My rep, Devin, is always very helpful. Mini has always provided a loaner and the service is always very quick. Under warranty, everything was covered which was awesome. Once my warranty ran out, I still received quality service and quick turnaround times. Labor may be more expensive but the savings in the loaner, the hassle free service, and the quality of the service makes it well worth it. read more

I AM THRILLED with my MINI North Scottsdale experience. My previous vehicle was totaled over the weekend, and I found myself needing not only to find a fun, reliable vehicle that gets awesome MPGs and has a great maintenance package, but find it QUICKLY. Traveling to clients' homes is the hallmark of my business, and business is good. I can't lose days to vehicle shopping and all of the perils that can accompany that process. After two test drives I knew what the perfect MINI for me would be. They didn't have the exact color I wanted on the lot, so JAMES, our incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and non-pushy motoring specialist found one at another dealership and told us that it would be no problem to have it in a week or so. That was on Monday night. Imagine my relief and delight when he contacted me to tell me that he was able to get one from a closer dealership and it would be here on Wednesday (48 hours after I had ordered it). Now, keep in mind, that the paperwork was pretty much done Monday night. We had paid the deposit, and gotten the ball rolling on the rest of the papers that would need to be signed at the close of the deal - so it's not like the sale was depending on how fast James was able to get the vehicle to the Scottsdale location. He just went over and above. In the end, I got the car I wanted and then some! It came with a beautiful trim upgrade that I didn't have to pay for (it looks amazing), because James basically did whatever had to be done to get me in my MINI asap. The only model available in the color I wanted that he could get there that quickly had the trim upgrade, so the dealership ate that one in the name of EXEMPLARY customer service. The finance portion of the buying experience was fast, smooth and friendly. I'm quite certain I've ever found myself actually laughing and enjoying myself during this particular process before. BRAD was great. Again, very knowledgeable, friendly, non-pushy. He answered all of our questions, and I was out of the office and in my MINI, heading off to my next client before I knew it. I bought my Mini Cooper S here in October and just went in for my first maintenance today. Overall, my experience with MNS has been fantastic. Everyone there is super friendly, patient and aware that I am spending $20k with them and treat me like it. I bought my car from Dave and was very impressed with how he handled everything. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, how much I wanted to pay a month, and had a list of requirements to comply with. He delivered with the car I purchased and I have realized that I love my car more than anything! Matt is the service guy that I dealt with today and he was also very nice and informative. I get my oil changed for free within my warranty and he let me know before the service how much a tire rotation was going to be and I wasn't surprised with hidden fees later. I talked to him about possibly getting new rims and the prices for those too and he was on his game. I ended up buying floor mats that ended up costing more than he quoted so he just gave me a 20% discount to make up for it. I love Mini and I love this location. The mini Cooper itself is a far superior product - my sales person Paul was so professional and helpful and understanding and absolutely amazing. Scott, the service manager, treats me like I am a member of his family and truly I've never received this kind of treatment. You drive into the dealership and within five minutes to give you a mini Cooper to drive out so that you're not inconvenienced- things are repaired - people have smiles on their faces... and go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience . Today was my first and last experience with this dealership. I have a 2014 Mini S that I want to sell. I bought it in Oregon and I'm the original owner. My husband called and talked to Steve yesterday. He told us the "starting... his words...price" and told us to come in and have it appraised by the sales manager. It was several thousand under KBB trade in value, but OK, we took it in this morning thinking we could negotiate a reasonable selling price (as in low trade in value). James Kelly, the sales manager, came out of his office, no hello or nice to meet you. No invite to sit down let alone go into his office. He took the key, went and looked at the car, and left us standing in front of the receptionist (kudos to her, she was pleasant and offered us water). He came back in and said "it looks OK" and repeated the starting price we were given on the phone. He said he would not negotiate, it was take it or leave it. No reason for the low price was offered. Needless to say we left, and will not return. Mr. Kelly was abrupt and it was clear he had no interest in purchasing our Mini, despite the fact it is still under warranty and has very low miles and is in excellent condition. I wouldn't sell it to them even if they called and offered me a lot more. If they don't want to buy back Minis they should just be up front and say so. The whole experience was very unpleasant. We have a much better offer from a local KBB dealer, and they have been very pleasant and helpful. read more

Took my daughters car in for oil leaks and while it was there they tested the car and broke the sensor that controls the lights and windows. They acknowledged it worked when we brought it in and that it "failed" after they tested it. A new one was over $1000- but thw manager was going to give us a "deal" and only charge us $800 for the part they broke! What q great guy. After waiting several days and having to speak with someone up higher they agreed to replace it for free. Completely shady company. I will not recommend Mini of Scottsdale and I am going to leave a review on Yelp amd Google. That location is a scam. read more

Technicians treated me with respect and kept me updated throughout my time there. Flat screen TV, coffee and drinks, and various snacks in the waiting area. Only complaint is that the dealership interior is painted black. Was dark everywhere even though it was 7:30 in the morning. Today my wife and I wanted to see and drive a Mini Cooper. We will be moving to Virginia next Spring and are trying to find which vehicle will be best for our needs. When we arrived at Mini North Scottsdale we explained to the Advisor, Drew B. that we would probably not be purchasing a vehicle now or in AZ, but next year in VA. He gave us his time very freely and let us test drive a new Mini. He answered our many questions knowing that our plans would not include a sale for him. Once again, exceptional service/care. Came in to get some things fixed on my car and they caught something else that was not right and corrected it. I got to drive an adorable loaner, a 2016 Mini, fully loaded, while they were fixing my car. It was fun. They really are the best!! They go beyond what your expectations are. WOW, is the one word that describes our experience. My wife was looking to possibly replace her charger and was thinking of something like an SUV. She loved her charger, so she wasn't committed to buying something new. I saw the Mini ad om TV and suggested we try there. The moment she saw the mini she was excited. Bill helped us and he was absolutely amazing. She normally wont do a test drive, but she liked the look and Bill was so kind and patient that she changed her mind about driving it, she fell in love with how nicely it handled. We were dead set on a price we were willing to pay and Bill actually was able to bring us a better price in the end. My wife absolutely loves motoring around in her Mini! read more

This is the worst automobile dealership you will EVER encounter should you be foolish enough to purchase, or service a Mini here. The service writer, in my case Justin Gray, will greet you with a palm up and this will be your first indication of the tenor here. They may write up your service order (Note: I have been given the car back without paperwork, unless it called for payment). They will not do warrantee work, or out of warrentee they will be more than pleased to re-do what was supposed to have been done previously at an exorbitant cost. Should you have the temerity to complain they will call out the BMW/Mini Manager Mark Kaiser who will regale you will snide and smarmy pablum and advise that his firm does not repair anything that may cost them. Caveat Emptor, it doesn't get worse than this. read more

I don't know what kind of drugs the negative reviewers are on, but the customer service at Mini North Scottsdale has always been, BY FAR, the best dealership service I've experience anywhere. They are quick, thorough, always are great at explaining the service, and have always provided a loaner car and complimentary car wash. I drive out of my way to use this Mini dealership because I know I can always count on a high quality experience. I also purchased my Mini Countryman S from Mini North Scottsdale. The process was, quick and easy and I got exactly what I wanted. And my car is awesome! read more

WOW!!!! What great service, I am driving a friend's mini and she is out of town. The engine light goes on!!! EEKK!! I checked the owner's manual then called MINI. After asking me a few questions they assured me it was a loose gas cap but being the nervous type in a borrowed car I drove in for check up. It was the loose gas cap BUT they were so nice about it!!! No one acted like I was a dummy!! They even washed it!!!! Great experience!! read more

MINI's reputation for being different (in a good way!) lives on in the purchase experience, which was highly positive. Our motoring advisor, Dana, assisted us with getting a new car for my parents who are in their late 70s. She is very knowledgeable and so personable that everyone in our family enjoyed the process. I normally don't give five stars, but after playing the car buying game for a week, I wanted to maim, destroy, shank, sacrifice, slaughter, lynch and disembowel car salesmen. I found an Internet special on a Mazda 3 via USAA at Mini North Scottsdale and prepared myself for another hell bending-shoot-me-in-the-head bad car dealship experience. Au contraire mon ami... We got their at 6:30pm Friday night, a half an hour before closing, and Hillary greeted me with a wonderful smile and fabulous attitude. She put me at ease...for a moment, as you have to be on guard with these salesmen. My soon-to-be salesman, English James was with other customers, but let me know he would be with me shortly. Then Kevin, the sales manager came out and greeted me (Yankees fan, but we won't hold that against him), letting me know James would be with us asap. James took me on a great test drive, was not the fast talking, got to establish a rapport with you type guy. He is English first off, so very laid back and was very kind. I knew I wanted the car, I had financing already so time to wheel and deal...I was OTD (for those non-lingo car people, that means out the door) and driving my Mazda home by 8:15pm. EVERYONE was fabulous! I was treated with respect, even though I was not there to buy a Mini and felt loved. Yes, loved. James was a great salesman and when I will the lottery, I will buy lots of Minis from him for all my friends. Seriously, this was the best car buying experience I had had.
