Worst pharmacy to get Dexcom refills. I never receive my orders on time and have to do without my GCM supplies up to a week of not monitoring my sugar levels. Every single person have ever spoken with including supervirors have not a clue and lie as to what is being done to get supplies to me. That is Eevery single time I need a refill. They claim they never receive faxes from my doctor nor the insurance. They currently have two sets of faxes that they finally said are there and everything they need and yet I am currently yet again without supplies. One person says refills are on their way, another said there are on their way and will be there tomorrow another said we have no authorization...and on and on. SupervisorCarla said yesterday it will be there tomorrow, tomorrow came and no supplies, called back today because I did not received and got a text from fed ex that it will not arrive until tomorrow, checked tracking number I was given by supervisor Jillian and that was incorrect, checked tracking # given by FedEx and showed the item was sent today late afternoon. I called pharmacy and supervisor Ana was unable to help. I have spent over 20 hours chasing my diabetic supplies that I am entitled to and find this place to be the most incompetent business ever! I've been using this supplier for about 9 years for my diabetes supplies, all those years there's always been issues. You have to wait almost an hour to order supplies and that's if they answer the phone. This should not be happening when your life depends on those supplies getting to you on time. I have also had constant issues with their new delivery service. Also that reply from the business owner to email the company , ya I've emailed multiple times with no reply ever. read more

We use them via mail-order as mandated by Medicare. When we were first signed up, I was not happy. Given that they handle the diabetic supplies that we need for all medicare customers, their phone lines were always at least a one hour wait. However, they have been constantly upgrading their system to the point where I simply wait until the robot says they are busy, enter the prescription order and the robot handles it. The best part of the system is the staff. Every time I have talked with one of them they have been friendly, helpful, careful and complete. It is not unusual to get a call after the robot places the order for them to make sure everything is right. One time I was late putting in my order and they called me to make sure we were not late. Their excellent staff members rate five stars, their overloaded phone system causes it to drop to four. read more

We have to use this pharmacy as dictated by our insurance. I recently contacted Dexcom who said they would split the Mini Pharmacy prescription to separate a backordered receiver and get us our standard supplies right out. However, they needed to be directed by Mini Pharmacy to do this. When I called Mini Pharmacy I was told that all Dexcom products were backordered (a lie) and that Dexcom was closed for the day (it was 4 pm pct and Dexcom ships from San Diego-another lie). I think the rep didn't want to make any work for herself by having to call a provider or type something in a computer. This was the service I received after listening to their recorded message over and over again while on hold that they pride themselves on "service with a personal touch". "Personally", I do not like liars. Sorry I have to use these people. read more

On 11/29/18, I spoke with mini pharmacy and told them I needed supplies. They said the would deliver and never came. I have a diabetic infant. Medical supplies are needed in order for her to stay in proper health. I do not recommend this company if you have diabetes, as you will not have the supplies to keep your alive. I have been using Mini Pharmacy for about a year now, they have always performed and have gotten my diabetic supplies to me. This review is about how they helped me out. I used my last sensor after re-ordering my supply and the next day had a medical procedure which required the removal of the sensor. I had no more, had just changed doctors and waiting for the new doctor to put in the prescription. It took a couple of great customer service people at Mini Pharmacy a couple of hours to straighten the whole thing out and ship my supplies overnight so I will have them tomorrow. Having to deal with this company makes me want to bang my head against my desk over and over AND OVER AGAIN. Though the agents I've spoken with have all be fairly professional, the business seems completely disorganized as if it can't handle the amount of customers it has. There are extremely long hold times even early in the morning, and automatic refills? - you'll think you're set up for them but FORGET IT. Count on calling in every other month when your supplies haven't shown up at your door as they should - you'll be transferred at least twice & then promised a call back the next day because they claim they need to contact your doctors office - don't expect to actually get the call back because it won't happen. You'll have to call in and sit on hold for 20+ minutes all over again. UGH!!! read more

Had to engage with this pharmacy as my provider chose it. Not convenient at all. Almost impossible to get through to the phone line and if you leave a message, no one calls you back. They shipped my prescription to the wrong address even though I called to ship to another address. Can't get the correct name on the shipping label either. I called Mini Pharmacy this morning and spoke to Sandra in the Medicare department. My 86 years old husband with arthritis in the hands and macular degeration of the eyes and insulin diabetic had 24 hrs left on his 14 day Libre sensor. He was in a BIG PANIC since he was leaving tomorrow morning to chaperone our grand-daughter on an out of state trip and he was out of sensors. Mini Pharmacy has delivered his sensors in a timely & routine fashion for months. Unfortunately we had two sensors that were defective and had to return directly to Abbott and we were waiting for the replacements. I explained all this drama to Sandra. She was quick to resolve the PANIC - she said we were not eligible for refill until October 16 but we could pay retail for a box and she would make sure it got delivered today. Sandra and Mini Pharmacy rescued us - they took our order and we just received deliver. We are both very relieved and believe that miracles do happen. It's just not doing your job but thinking out of the box and making what matters to your customer count. Kudos to Sandra and Mini Pharmacy. If we could give them 10 stars we would. read more

There staff are dishonest, lack Integrity, patronizing and incompetent in meeting the needs of a Omnipod user.

Unbelievably poor service. Sent refills without authorization and tried to bill us. Sent supplies to inaccurate address. Calling them is a nightmare of being placed on hold then talking to a representative who can't find your account no matter what information you provide. On the unauthorized refill, I'm still awaiting a return mailing label since they neglected to send it, then sent a damaged label. On top of all this, some glucose test strips were defective ($1/pop) and they said they couldn't help. We had to go to the manufacturer, who did make good. read more

We have issues since the beginning, first was the delivery driver leaving supplies insulin in another house, then we had an issue that they just drop it off outside, even after I told them to call before delivery. When, I called our Nurse she mentioned they have orders to deliver New Glucose meter, lancets, and strips since January 2018, if the Doctor turn in the orders and the CCS is active, they should delivered them. Its May 2018 and we still haven't received anything. As far as the delivery for the Pump supplies they always leave it outside every month is the same issue are they are reckless and have no sense of respect for my child life. We just received our April 10 Delivery today May 7th 2018. The insulin if left outside fridge its only good for 28 days... BAD BUSINESS, you don't deserve not even one star. read more

The short version: terrible, unreliable "service" for medically important supplies. Not a great combo! I have gestational diabetes, and my dr's office set me up with a mail-order prescription from Mini Pharmacy. I ran out of test strips and called and asked when my refill was coming. I was told it was mailed last Thursday. When I didn't receive it six days later, I called again and was told that lancets were on back order, so they had held the whole order. Then I called AGAIN and asked to transfer my prescription to my local pharmacy. I was told that no, they were over nighting me the supplies. (But wait, weren't they out of them?) They couldn't give me a tracking number and I didn't believe them at this point, so I told them to CANCEL THE ORDER and TRANSFER IT. So did my local pharmacist, and they gave him grief about it. All of these calls were accompanied by long on-hold times. Finally, I think I have extricated myself from their clutches. I will tell my doctor's office to not recommend them to anyone else. read more

Unbelievable how this company treats their customers! 1 day before I was supposed to get my order of omnipods, they call me and say something is wrong with your prior authorization and we can't send you the pods.. I've been getting my pods from them for months... They said they don't know what the problem is and I need to figure it out with my insurance. I call my insurance, they say there's no problems.. this is covered just the way it always was. I called my doctor, they say no problem nothing has changed. I call back mini pharmacy and they say, sorry we can't do anything for you and they're not sure what the problem is. I ask them to please call the insurance while I'm on the phone, they say no. I asked them to please call the doctor while I'm on the phone, they say no. Can I please talk to someone in the diabetic supplies department? they say no. The most I could get was that she would send a message to the diabetic supplies department to call my doctor and then call me after.... Will this happen today? They say no. When will this happen? They say "I don't know" as a type 1 diabetic who uses these supplies to LIVE I find it so inhumane the way they lack any professionalism or common decency. I figure if you're using this place it's because your insurance is forcing you to, so I'm not sure that this review is going to "deter" anyone... But word to the wise, be on top of them or you'll end up with no supplies at all. read more

I am NOT affiliated nor am I friends with anyone at this establishment. I've seen the other reviews, so I can only tell you that my experience was flawless. It is a quirk of human nature to write when things go wrong and less common to write when things go right. It just is. I did not use insurance nor require a prescription for anything, which may be a factor. And my interactions with staffers on the phone and by email were excellent. I do tend, as a reflex - to put whatever I want in WRITING at all times because I don't leave anything to chance with ANY company that has a zillion customers. I then call for progress - and things - for me, anyway, after writing out what I want - tend to go more smoothly. * In sum, Dennis at Mini Pharmacy rocks! Tried in vain at other places to get info about the compatibility of proprietary data cables for blood sugar meters - and their relationship to data reporting software and drivers. * I emailed them on 9/29/15 with a lot of technical questions. It got researched and Dennis called me because attempts to reach me by email were blocked by my server. (Guess that's a default with Microsoft given all the spam ads for Viagra, etc.). At any rate, he answered all of my questions and I went online and placed an order on 10/1. By 10/6, I got a notice in the mail that my product had arrived and had to be signed in person at the post office. Picked it up, everything worked great. * Dennis saved me time and money and was more knowledgeable than three manufacturers and suppliers I contacted before I reached him. Please give him a gold star! (BTW, Mini Pharmacy is not so "mini" - it's a giant, well-run center in L.A.! I ended up paying 50% less than its competitors and shipping was FREE. I think this is its mail-order policy.) * It's obvious this place is loaded with a vast base of knowledge that's constantly updated and shared among staffers. I also get the impression that the owner really gives a damn about preserving continuity, high standards and super smart, customer service oriented people on the Mini Pharmacy team. I can only imagine how much more impressive this place is if I actually walked in. In my view, this is a great organization with four star service and prices. Ordered a Libre 2 Sensor on 8/2/22. Did not hear anything until 8/8/22 when I was informed that a form needed to be filled out by me so that i could pay for the sensor. Mini Pharmacy rep on 8/15/22 said that form was e-mailed to me on 8/5/22. No such e-mail arrived in any of my in boxes that day. Form arrived after 4PM on 8/15/22. Form was filled out and sent within 5 minutes of receipt of form. Did not hear from Mini Pharmacy till 8/16/22. I informed the Rep that i needed the Sensor ASAP as my was going to run out within a few hours. Was told it would be overnighted. Should have had the Sensor by the next 8/17/22. Sensor still has not arrived. After calling Mini Pharmacy they admitted that the order had not been placed. Am told I will receive Sensor tomorrow. This will be roughly 72 hours plus without a sensor that I should have last week. Just really bad service for something that is so vital to a Type 1 Diabetic. This is not the first time for this kind of screwup with these folks that I have experienced. read more

Horrible pharmacy. Unfortunately, I am forced to get my diabetic supplies with only this company due to my health insurance. I always get the run around from customer service reps, as well as supervisors. It won't matter if you have automatic refills with a credit card on file, there is ALWAYS an excuse why my meds are not on-time. Then when you call, you are always on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes and usually more than 40 mins. Even Supervisors won't return emails within a reasonable time (under 36 hrs). My only recourse it to file a formal complaint with my insurance company which I will be doing tomorrow. Maybe if enough complaints are filed we will be given another choice. This company can continue giving horrible service if there is no competition, I will do my best to change that. read more

Mini pharmacy is HORRIBLE! I was gdm so for some reason they were my supplier. I told them I wouldn't be needing any more supplies since I already had my baby and I wasn't even checking my sugars. They delivered two additional times. First time I told them I didn't need or want it so to bring it back. No problem. Except for the fact that they still charged me for it. I call billing and they supposedly cancelled the bill and said they cancelled the automatic prescription/delivery for the future. Nope. Got another delivery during covid. I told the guy I didn't want it and to bring it back. He refused and said he has to deliver it. I need to call mini pharmacy to sort it out. Called and told them once again to stop delivering to me. They set up for someone to pick up the supplies. Now I get a $40 bill and a notice saying they're going to take me to collections? Save yourself the trouble and buy your supplies from the store. I didn't even need the supplies! read more

This company is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. They were the provider I was given by my insurance for my diabetes supplies after I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and that was the start of my troubles with their billing department. First offense was they still kept sending me supplies even after I had called them a month early to let them know I will be delivering my baby soon and won't be needing the deliveries any more. Soon after the birth of my baby I received yet another delivery from them and it happened again the month after, even after calling them again to PLEASE stop any future deliveries. Oh and of course they kept billing me too. My last call I though we had resolved all issues, they said I had paid all my balances and I won't be billed anymore, I asked for a return label which they did send and so I returned the final paperbag of god forsaken supplies... Now, 4 months after, I am still getting billed and I just found out I was actually getting billed TWICE because I had TWO customer accounts! Good job trying to scam people dollar by dollar. So today I painfully waited on hold until a customer service rep finally answered, she said something like "oh ok, our billing manager is not in yet but I'll send her an email and she will call you back" but now it's the end of the day and zero calls have been made. Do they even have a billing manager? And what kind of manager is not in the office by 9:30 in the morning? The kind that isn't very good at their job, that's what. Danger!! This pharmacy does not deliver on time, prompting many phone calls each month by the parents, school nurse, and clinic staff. It has necessitated visits to the hospital on the weekend when a child's insulin has run out because Mini Pharmacy didn't deliver when promised. Calling for a refill two weeks in advance should never result in a child being out of insulin. Go somewhere else if you want to protect your child's safety. read more

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with and it's taking up all my time talking to their customer service reps who have no idea what they're doing. I'm currently pregnant and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes so my doctor ordered all the supplies I need to check my blood sugar levels and it has been a nightmare dealing with this company. Once, I even spoke with someone by the name of Elva, three times in one day, who didn't know what she was doing and kept changing the story on me. Now, they are billing me for items I never even received and after calling them, they said their supervisor will give me a call. This is just so ridiculous! Marta, went above and beyond to help me get my dad his Freestyle Libre. He was due for his first delivery and didn't realize when they were coming. When the driver did show up, he thought it was a restaurant delivery company and sent them away. I worked with Marta at Mini Pharmacy, and she was incredibly helpful. We were back and forth on the phone trying to figure out what happened, and when we did, she contacted the driver, who had to come back a couple days later. I just filed a complaint through the State of California regarding how horrible this business is. Like the rest of the complaints, Mini Pharmacy never sends me my diabetic supplies on time and I usually have to call several times just to have my order shipped. I am now without diabetic supplies for two weeks because of their dangerous business practices. I pray that my insurance will let me go through another vendor. read more

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and it is vital that i am able to check my sugars, especially now that my doctor has put me on insulin. I was first prescribed the Freestyle Lite meter and strips, and I was impressed when I received my first shipment about a week after receiving the meter from my patient coordinator. That was in June. July came, and I never received the next shipment. I called several times a week just to stuck on hold, 30 minutes or more at times, to the point that I just had to leave a message. I never received a call back. If I DID manage to get a human, they claimed they didn't have my information, and that they'd call me back once a supervisor took a look. Again, never received a call back. I never received July's shipment, so I had to go to my doctor and explain that I was out of strips for the meter, and they were kind enough to give me a little pack of 50 strips, and said that the shipment was probably in the mail. Nothing arrived. For those who aren't aware, the strips for the Freestyle Lite are about $1 per strip. That's $50 for 50, or $100 for 100 at a drug store or other pharmacy that the prescription isn't going through. We're budgeting, because, y'know, we're having a freaking baby. I don't have an extra $100 to drop on something that this pharmacy was supposed to be sending because of the prescription my doctor set up. It's now August. I didn't get my strips. I brought up AGAIN to my doctor and coordinator that the pharmacy still hasn't sent me my strips. On Tuesday, August 14th, I needed to be sent to the hospital because my baby's heart beat dropped multiple times during an NST. At the hospital, I was belittled for "not being on top of calling the pharmacy when low on strips" and "putting my baby at risk by being too lazy to call the pharmacy". I've called this pharmacy MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK FOR OVER A FREAKING MONTH. So, when I was released, I had absolutely HAD it. I called AGAIN, and once AGAIN I was on hold for over half an hour! I left ANOTHER message, telling them that it was absolutely vital that they call me back and send my strips, again giving them the type of strips that were needed. Yesterday, I complained for now a THIRD time to my doctors office, who FINALLY said they'd get in touch with the representative at Mini Pharmacy. Guess what came in the mail today? Not the 2 months worth of strips I've been waiting for, but A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT METER WITH 40 STRIPS?! WHAT PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE BULLSHIT IS THAT?! My meter works fine! I just need my strips to test my blood sugar! And seriously?! 40 strips?! I have to check my blood sugar 4 times a day. That means, this will last me only 10 days. I have 6 weeks left in my pregnancy, and clearly this company cannot be trusted to send supplies on time! So i'm going to end up doing this whole song and dance again by the end of the week! Oh, and by the way? THE PACKAGE LITERALLY SAYS "SIGNATURE REQUIRED". Nobody knocked on my door, nobody asked for my signature. I was home all day because I'm on bedrest. My husband brought the package in when he got home from work this evening. I'm so glad I looked up this company on YELP, because it's good to know that there's plenty of others who've experienced what I have. And hey you, person scrolling through these reviews to get an idea of what kind of company this is. You should check out Mini Pharmacy's Indeed page where past employees talk about what it's like to work there. This one in particular from yesterday as of writing this review, was like a slap in the face: great learning experience but no future to advance in the company, the customers are always complaining and the work is over whelming and stressing at times. Pro free company lunches sometimes Cons short breaks/lunches and work is not appreciated Yeah, you read that right. The customers are always complaining and their work isn't appreciated. I have gotten great service from mini pharmacy for my daughter who has had type 1 diabetes for 48 years. In particular, Sandra Mullins, lead at the pharmacy, has taken outstanding care to make sure the Dexcom G6 supplies are delivered to us on time. Dexcom G6 is really needed to track my daughter's blood sugars and keep her safe. I feel very fortunate to have mini pharmacy on our side!!! I highly recommend mini pharmacy. Sandra's customer service is ABSOLUTELY hands down the best customer representative I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. I understand Mini is under new management and maybe that's what made the difference. I have had nothing but trouble with this pharmacy until I got lucky enough to come across Sandra. This woman deserves all the recognition she can get! Not only did she go ABOVE AND BEYOND to solve my issue, but she was kind and friendly the whole time. She explained things to me as she did them, so I understood the process and found issues before they even happened. Guess what?? She solved them too. I was introduced to Mini Pharmacy through my Nutritionist educator in Campbell, CA + what my insurance covered for my gestational diabetes. I received my test strips (3) 50 ct + (2) 100+2 lancet refills just fine for the month of Sept + Oct 2015 until November came along. When I didn't get my refills mid-November, I called Mini Pharmacy, which their delivery service, OnTrac, messed up on "Incorrect status code" + ended up loosing my refills. Even though I had 3 days refills left before I ran out cold turkey, Mini Pharmacy's customer service - Erica + Kristen + a male employee were all able to help me by sending me a new refill order via overnight shipping, which I received beginning of December 2015. Not long after receiving my refills for November beginning of December, Mini Pharmacy yet again shipped me a whole new order of refills, which seem like I got double refills since I wrote 2 checks for the month of December alone. Today is January 8th, 2016 - I currently have 128 test strips + 4 unopened (100+2) lancet boxes + 8 unused lancet of 6 so I'm covered for the month. Mini Pharmacy not knowing their error of sending me double refills back in December had sent me my refills for January so I will be using the new refills I received today for the month February. Before Mini Pharmacy sends me another refills for the month of February, I was able to speak with Mandy, which she and like previous customer service representative for Mini Pharmacy was able to assist me just fine + no problem. All the people I mentioned above listened to what I had to say without being rude or unprofessional and I'm very satisfied as a customer. As to waiting for the next customer representative to answer next call has been a hit or a miss. Today has been my 3rd or 4th time calling, but at least twice before I was hung up on by accident. I think when the representative tries to answer calls, I think he/she accidentally hung up versus answering calls. I was a bit mad, holding for 15 mins then getting hung up on. I called back, waited for about the same time when finally Mandy answered. Overall, I'm happy with the help I've gotten so far from Mini Pharmacy. read more

OMG this place is awful! I have to get my Diabetic supplies through Mini Pharmacy and each time it is the worst experience ever, it just keeps getting worse. I love how they call me for my credit card info and tell me my stuff will be sent out that day and if there is a problem they will call me. Yet I NEVER GET A CALL FROM THEM. When I call the next morning to get a tracking number she tells me oh, well we dont have a prescription for that from your Dr. Well thats funny, how do you even know to run it through my insurance, I didnt tell you. I am so fed up with them. How do you have such crappy customer service? Maybe someone within their company should read the reviews on their company and they'll realize how shitty they are!
