There are a few tables if you'd like to enjoy your food there, but we decided to get everything to go. The staff told us the pastries could stay out of the refrigerator for up to an hour, so we were worried the cakes might melt on the way home. Thankfully, they stayed in perfect condition. We especially loved the croissants. They were incredibly flavorful and surprisingly large, so I'd recommend getting a few different flavors to share. My favorites were the almond and Parisian croissants. They gave some free macarons at the end!

With their unwavering dedication to their customers and their commitment to using the best ingredients on the market, Farid and Saeed have raised the bar for quality seeking foodies in Los Angeles. By constantly challenging themselves to create the most delicious works of art, they have taken their love for the craft to a whole new level (From their website). Background On Visit: I was primarily going to RWT (Pokemon Card Shop) Collective on the second floor of the plaza, Something about the line and a average of 5 stars on their yelp page made me want to patronize the shop. So I did. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restroom: Didn't see a restroom. :) Wait Time: Can be long. Luckily, I didn't wait long when I patronized the shop. Location/Parking: Located in a plaza on the NW corner of Sawtelle Blvd. and W. Olympic. There's a couple of shared 15 minute parking spots in the parking lot, paid parking structure, or meter parking along Olympic, Sawtelle, or surrounding streets. I did find a secret place with free 2 hour parking on the NE corner of Purdue Ave. and Olympic Blvd.. :) Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with a few modern furnishings to sit, eat, and enjoy ones company. Service: Service was great! Tera (staffer) was very nice, attentive, offered great suggestions, and was quite informative about the shop. She also informed me that I was able to get two complimentary macarons. Patisserie Of Choice: 1) Blossom: Consisted of vanilla mousse, pistachio/red berries insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. It was too pretty to eat, but I ate it anyways. So good and soo yum! 2) Roche: Consisted of hazelnut mousse, house made praline combined with soft caramel, hazelnut sponge. Taste like a Ferrer Rocher! It's very dense and sweet, but great to eat. Not something I'll have all the time. Macarons Of Choice : I got the Cookies and Cream and pistacio. They were both good. Artelice Patisserie For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back. I'm coming for you almond croissant.

We were in a panic trying to find someone who could make 50 halo-halos on such short notice. I called B Sweet hoping for a miracle, and their team came through! They were so kind, accommodating, and willing to rush our large order. Thanks to them, we were able to have halo-halo at my Lola's birthday after all. Not only was their customer service amazing, but the halo-halo was absolutely delicious. Our guests loved it, and everything was prepared perfectly despite the last-minute request. Thank you to the entire staff and manager for going above and beyond.

Forced to explore other options, I ordered the Ooey Gooey Butter Bar and a chocolate brownie bar instead. And honestly? They can do no wrong. I was especially shocked by how much I loved the Ooey Gooey Butter Bar. As someone who usually gravitates toward anything involving large amounts of chocolate, I wasn't expecting to fall for a dessert that didn't revolve around it. Yet there I was, happily eating every last bite and wondering where it had been all my life. Everything I've had from B Sweet over the years has been consistently delicious. Rich, indulgent, and exactly the kind of treat that makes an ordinary day feel a little more special. I also love seeing how they've grown. There used to be just the Sawtelle location, and now there are multiple locations spreading sweetness across LA. A longtime favorite and one of the few places that has never let me down when dessert is involved.

I can see why he loves it -- the egg tarts are very custardy and rich, with a lightly eggy flavor but the sweetness from heavy cream in each bite contrasting to the flaky crust. We also got the red velvet cheesecake, which was pretty standard. The strawberry and cream cookie was massive and I loved the strawberry flavor! It was a little too sweet for me but for the average American palette is probably perfect. There were many interesting flavors I have not noticed before, such as Dulce de Leche and Strawberry Matcha, but I opted for the original with mint oreo filling. The concept of the restaurant written on the wall is really cute, and the bright yellow space is fun and inviting. We had already stuffed ourselves on sushi and didn't have much space left for the sweet treat, so we just got one to split (cookie batter won out) but I love that you can basically build your own puff combo. I also love that the filling was cold and just lightly sweet, while the topping on the outside of the puff was a touch sweeter. We thought it was the perfect balance and we both spontaneously landed on the word "refreshing" to describe it. We will definitely be popping back in after Kura next time.

Far exceeded my expectations. Firstly, they saved our…read moredaughter's birthday party by making a cake where-as 3 others places couldn't. We wanted cupcakes in the shape of a number 5. Seems simple right? Ralph's on Bundy said they don't have a decorator. Ralph's on Olympic said their cake machine is broken. Susie Cakes said they couldn't make a cake from cupcakes. Cakes.com took the order and then sent a cancellation email 2 days later. So, going to yelp and seeing so many good reviews for Star Bakery we tried them. Walking in the place doesn't look like much, it's kinda small in front and not fancy. I told them what I wanted and they said "no problem". Really friendly person helping us at the counter and then a really helpful decorator who refined the order via text messages the next day. They gave me a price which I thought was very high but I admit I don't really know what these things should cost. All I know is it was quite a bit more than Cakes.com who cancelled my order via email so I'll never try to use them again. (Or Ralph's for that matter) Here is the best part: The end result not only looked better than I had anticipated but the quality and taste was incredible. Honestly the best tasting cupcakes I've ever had. And it wasn't just me who said how good they were; everyone at the birthday party loved them. The whole experience with Star Bakery was an epic success and I am so delighted they are in my neighborhood. Finally, I should mention Star isn't expensive across the board. They had some beautiful looking tarts in the refrigerated case that were very reasonably priced. They will give you a price for a custom cake up front and if you say yes, be assured it will be a top quality cake.
