What a great place for baked goods! Everything is so fresh, some of my favorites are the banana loaf and carrot loaf. You can taste the spices they use with a rich depth of flavor and you can taste the different ingredients! This place is very charming inside as well there are always people sitting and having a cup of coffee and a pastry or doing work. Very friendly family who runs the shop.

I was looking for a place that makes Turkish coffee and learned about this cute little cafe one evening after seeing a movie nearby. They have lots of tasty looking pastries and they even sell Dubai style chocolate bars. It took the man in the back quite some time to make my Turkish (or Armenian as listed on the menu) coffee, so I knew it was being made to perfection, and it was, deep, bold, and rich with spices. I savored it on my drive home. They have a nice menu that includes sandwiches, omelets, salads, etc. Perfect for brunch or a quaint evening meetup.

European style patio, like out of Emily in Paris!

I love this long established, family run European style cafe! I've been coming for several decades, since it was in its original location down the street! I love this space for its openness, cleanliness and European allure I love the friendly owner,Marya, who has kept the original European recipes and added som of her own! The pastries are absolutely exquisite, fresh and delicious! I recently enjoyed the Nutella Swiss Roll- what a special treat! I love the outdoor seating, which makes you feel like you are in a scene out of Emily in Paris! Bon Appetit!

    So much caramel yuck

I ordered an iced tiramisu latte. I was surprised to see something that resembled a caramel macchiato. I had to double check with the barista that this was the correct drink as I have never seen caramel in tiramisu, so I was very confused. There was so much caramel in the drink that it clogged up the straw. I couldn't even taste it. Ended up having to toss it out. The amount of caramel that was put in this drink is absurd, this is absolutely disgusting.

Great place! Has so many fun lattes that are delicious! Better than bonsai coffee but everyone and their mom goes there and I don't know why lol. I recommend!!

to the lady (owner, perhaps?) who works here who, a few minutes before 7am on a friday morning, chased after my oblivious, headphone-wearing ass to save me from getting a hefty parking ticket when i wasn't even headed to your shop: thank you!! got an ube matcha latte. now tbcfh, it wasn't the best. looked pretty? yes. felt like i was assaulted by the bitter taste of mother earth upon first sip. the ube was barely detectable. BUT! once the drink settles a bit it's actually not bad. is ube, matcha, or ubematcha their specialty? clearly not, but bonsai and good people had lines way too long. i was mostly looking for a nearby joint with ample seating and solid wifi for the time being, so my purchase of choice was tertiary to my main priorities. and when i realized the lady behind the counter was the same one who had just saved me earlier that morning, i was more than happy to shell out money on anything they offered on their menu just to show my appreciation.

We originally were going to the coffee shop on the corner but it was extremely busy. We saw Emile's and they have a great variety of pastries! The seats are comfy! It's a small mom and pop cafe and the staff are friendly. Definitely looking for a vibe like that definitely give this place a try!

Personally, I don't like that style, I was hoping the original would change that for me! Long story short, I didn't like the Walnut Chocolate Chip. I personally just don't like that style still, so I'll chalk it up as a "me" problem. The cooked part was good. The Rocky Road was cooked through. It was an amazing baked good with good flavor and add-ins. Between the roasted almond slices and fudgey chocolate chips, I was enjoying it immensely. A highlight of my day for sure. If you love underbaked cookies, Levain is your cookie shop! I don't and they had something for me too!

It's relatively busy but the line moved swiftly. The Larchmont store was pretty lively with the crowded and colorful wall deco! It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.

There are a few tables if you'd like to enjoy your food there, but we decided to get everything to go. The staff told us the pastries could stay out of the refrigerator for up to an hour, so we were worried the cakes might melt on the way home. Thankfully, they stayed in perfect condition. We especially loved the croissants. They were incredibly flavorful and surprisingly large, so I'd recommend getting a few different flavors to share. My favorites were the almond and Parisian croissants. They gave some free macarons at the end!

Background On Visit: I was primarily going to RWT (Pokemon Card Shop) Collective on the second floor of the plaza, Something about the line and a average of 5 stars on their yelp page made me want to patronize the shop. So I did. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restroom: Didn't see a restroom. :) Wait Time: Can be long. Luckily, I didn't wait long when I patronized the shop. Location/Parking: Located in a plaza on the NW corner of Sawtelle Blvd. and W. Olympic. There's a couple of shared 15 minute parking spots in the parking lot, paid parking structure, or meter parking along Olympic, Sawtelle, or surrounding streets. I did find a secret place with free 2 hour parking on the NE corner of Purdue Ave. and Olympic Blvd.. :) Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with a few modern furnishings to sit, eat, and enjoy ones company. Service: Service was great! Tera (staffer) was very nice, attentive, offered great suggestions, and was quite informative about the shop. She also informed me that I was able to get two complimentary macarons. Patisserie Of Choice: 1) Blossom: Consisted of vanilla mousse, pistachio/red berries insert, pistachio crunch, and pistachio sponge. It was too pretty to eat, but I ate it anyways. So good and soo yum! 2) Roche: Consisted of hazelnut mousse, house made praline combined with soft caramel, hazelnut sponge. Taste like a Ferrer Rocher! It's very dense and sweet, but great to eat. Not something I'll have all the time. Macarons Of Choice : I got the Cookies and Cream and pistacio. They were both good. Artelice Patisserie For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back. I'm coming for you almond croissant.
