I ordered an oat milk latte and three different pastries (which were honestly superb), but the interaction felt quite uncomfortable. He mentioned several times that no one had come in all morning and that just as he was cleaning up and getting ready to finish, people started showing up. I completely understand that it can be frustrating when customers arrive right as you're expecting to wrap up your shift. However, repeatedly venting that frustration to guests made for an awkward experience. I felt so uncomfortable that I almost cancelled my order altogether. Admittedly, I hadn't had my caffeine yet, so maybe I was feeling it more than usual! That said, the pastries were excellent, the coffee was good, and the host made a wonderful first impression.
