While the nail service itself was fine, I do not recommend because it was an awful experience due to the poor quality of the shops equipment and appearance overall. Considering the condition of the shop, I do not imagine the tools that are used on nails are cleaned and sanitized either. Tables, chairs, lamps are visibly torn and taped up. Pedicure tubs not attached so you are forced to hold it close to chair with your legs under tension. It is awful because you are constantly having to shift around to accommodate the nail service and keep the tub backed against chair at the same time. We called ahead of time for 2 pedicures. They made it seem like they were slammed and so busy. When we arrived only 1 other person there. They started on me but not my sister. She sat there in her chair for 15 minutes while 2 employees sat next to her on their cell phones (loudly watching Family Guy). When they finally got around to my sister, they just gave us the basic pedicure (didn't ask if we wanted anything extra) and she really wanted extras to spoil herself. When it came time to pay, my sisters cost TWICE as much as mine ($50 for a basic pedicure!!!!) They added $25 for callous remover and 5 mins extra massage. WOW!!! read more

i went in for gel x, i had zero issue with the nails that were done on me. exactly how i asked them to. ben is a great artist but unfortunately a dirty nail file was used on me. they also fell off within 5 days of being on. i didn't rip them off or touch them, they peeled off. i then asked for a refund and they gave me a 40$ refund (originally 80) without tip. i went back to give them a second chance and got acrylics instead. used with a dirty file AGAIN!! and guess what, they fell off within a week. i called and expressed my concern to the work and state of my nails and was refused a refund and instead was blamed for taking them off myself which i didn't do. the manager did nothing but talk rudely to me. i do not suggest this place. stay far far away. horrible management. Didn't want to present my unkempt feet to a podiatrist the next day. So I searched Yelp and dropped by Mink hoping for a same day appointment. Told them I was willing to wait. Was directed to a chair, got comfortable and was prepared to wait. They took me as a walk-in. A little later, OMG, I'm so glad I met Nancy. While my hearing isn't so good & Nancy's accent behind a mask presented a challenge, she went straight to work. Her diligence and attention to detail was remarkable! Before I had arrived, I thought maybe my feet would come out something like a re-tread. OH NO they were much MORE LIKE A NEW SET OF WHEELS!! Nancy put in the extra effort taking my neMANderthal feet through croMANgnon to a pair of baby smooth soles & ten shiny piggies that the Queer Eyes for the Straight Guys [sorry I'm old :-P] would praise. While I know it can be frustrating to have an indecisive client, being rude and disrespectful is not the way to go. Absolutely terrible experience. I have never had an experience like this before. The man who started doing my manicure spoke to me with so much attitude. They did my toe nails and afterwards informed me that they dont have the matching gel color for my manicure. The man who was doing my manicure (they refused to give me his name) was extremely rude. When I said why didnt you guys tell me before that you did not have the matching gel, all hell broke loose and he started to get upset that I even asked that! I eventually said im done. I paid and walked out. The manager took my payment and apologized. He said he heard the whole thing and he is very sorry his coworker acted like that. Again, they refused to give me their names. They were both men who appeared to be in their 30's or 40's. I was a first time customer and will never give my business to this place again. If you're looking for a nail salon you DEFINITELY need to see Katie at Mink! Absolutely the best acrylics I've had. Beautiful freehand French tips and she had never done this design before but nailed it! Pun intended I don't think I could see anyone else for my nails from now on. The photo of the blue nails was my original full set, but I forgot to take a picture right out of the shop so this was about a week and a half after they were done, and still looking amazing. I went with a picture that was supposedly done by them and I left with sloppy half completed results. When I showed them the picture, they didn't tell me their machine was broke and they couldn't do ombré. Instead, he tried to fill in the color with a sponge. No t You have to run an honest business. If you can't deliver what is asked for, then be upfront and honest from the beginning. I could have chosen a different design. 2. My nails are filled in uneven and missed color on the sides. . I pay to get my nails painted. Not partially but all sides and corners. If you are someone who pays attention to detail, then I don't recommend this place. I have been a loyal customer to this establishment for years and I've always given great tips. Tom has always done an amazing job with my nails. This past week, I had an experience that had me decide I'll never go there again. On a Sunday, I had gotten a fresh Gel X set by the manager, who doesn't normally do my nails. Within 3 days, one nail popped off out of nowhere. I went back to get it fixed and they charged me $5 (wtf) to get it fixed. The next day, a second nail popped off out of nowhere. I went back a third time to get it fixed and asked not to be charged. Within the next few days, 5 more nails popped off. SEVEN nails total within 10 days of getting my nails done. Keep in mind, my sets usually last 4+ weeks when the other guys do them. I sent a very polite text to the manager asking if I can get the set redone free of charge. He had the nerve to tell me no, he'll only give me 20% of my money back, and I should take that money and go somewhere else since "we will all be uncomfortable." Almost $100 later for nails that didn't even last a few days. I was never rude, I always overpaid, and I never complained when they had me waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment time regularly. The technician, a young girl whose name I did not get, did a very bad job with the polish application, leaving it bumpy and uneven. Fortunately, I chose a light color, which somewhat masked the imperfections. The most concerning issue occurred during the callus removal. She used the same abrasive tool on a small bump on my little toe, rubbing so harshly that she made it bleed. Rather than apologizing or attempting to disinfect the area, she continued working on my nails until I pointed out the bleeding. At that point, a male staff member noticed and applied a bandage, offering a quiet, insincere "I'm sorry." I came here as a walk-in and for the first time and got a surprisingly quick and absolutely beautiful mani-pedi! I asked Elle for the design in the first picture attached from Pinterest, and she "nailed" it! She worked so speedily yet so skillfully. My hand is the second picture, and the nails are absolute perfection. The whole staff are very friendly and wonderful. Nancy did my toes beautifully as well, and she is a sweetheart.
