Food was average. We ordered the nachos and a bowl of French onion soup. Waitress needs to be friendlier and more attentive to her tables. I left a tip based on the fact she took more than 20 minutes to get me another drink almost at the end of my meal. Indoor and outdoor seating was available; however, we opted to get takeout as the view from our hotel was more scenic as well as being more safe and away from others. Onion rings were a bit greasy but so delicious and easily the best part of our meal. Their texture was light and airy, similar to a tempura batter. The spicy aioli sauce it came was amazing as well, I wish it came on the burger as the burger itself was fairy dry and plain itself. While traveling through Door County this weekend, we decided to stop and have lunch here. Mink River Basin has the classic "Wisconsin Bar" appeal, which is very laid back and welcoming. The bartender greeted us and was very friendly and told us to sit wherever. We had cheese curds as an appetizer and we both ordered burgers which included fries. The food was absolutely amazing. Hot, fresh and everything you except in a burger. Big, juicy and savory. However the one thing that kept this from being a 5 star experience was the service, our waitress was very hurried and seemed to be ready to leave. We said "Thank You" multiple times and she never responded. While I can understand being at the end of your shift and wanting to go home, it just made us feel less welcomed and made the experience just a little less great. Otherwise awesome food. read more

My girlfriend and I came in here on a Friday at 2pm. We have just recently bought a vacation rental cabin in Bailey's Harbor, and my good buddy recommended we try Mink River Basin. It was a cold windy day, so what the heck, we drove north about 30min. Let me tell you that this place is tip-top! We were greeted almost immediately at the bar, our drinks were served promptly, and then we decided to give the cheese curds a go for starters. Best decision I've made in 2017 (besides asking my GF out), and then we split the Big Tex, and that too was outstanding, the fries were crispy and seasoned well! My GF said the bloody was stellar too! Can't say enough about this place. Warm welcoming atmosphere, both employees we dealt with were attentive and made us feel at home, and the food speaks for itself! The fish fry was delicious. I'm not a fish fry fan but the outer dough was so incredibly crispy and the fish didn't have that fishy taste. The have a great beer selection too. One of my restaurant pet peeves though is ordering a salad that costs more than $10 and getting a plate full of iceberg lettuce. The chicken salad is well portioned but it says on the menu that it consists of mix of greens but it was just iceberg. All I had was the large, yellow and white pieces from the head of lettuce; very bland looking and overpriced. I would expect romaine or some spinach mixed in. read more

The wait seemed reasonable however the appetizers didn't come out until 5 minutes after our burgers. While we were waiting for our food, one of our members went to the bar for a drink as the server was busy. That particular drink ended up being the end of a bottle resulting in very little alcohol in the drink. The bartender did not top it off. Disappointing.. Overall, the food tasted good. Despite the COVID protocols, the place was doing good business on a Thursday afternoon. The bartender could not have been more helpful in dialing-in my choice among 40 craft beers on tap - including tastes of a half-dozen or so. The menu, though curtailed - was ample and the food great. Stopped in for dinner with a party of 10 personnel was disorganized from the moment we walked in and not helpful or friendly. Waitress was not happy about splitting the bill between the three families but we have a great system down for ordering which makes their job super easy and they end up getting a great tip. We got our food and overall were pretty satisfied, just about everyone was extremely happy with their food, I had ordered breaded wings and wasn't really satisfied they weren't crispy like I prefer but were edible. When we thanked the waitress for splitting our tab she littering rolled her eyes. Good place to eat but they need to work on their customer service. read more

The Enchilada Stack appeared to be covered with just tomato sauce instead of enchilada sauce, and the rice with the rice and beans was just plain white rice. Came with two different Mexican specials, but to be fair, the menu did just say rice. And the burger I had was a nice hand made patty but way overcooked. Food was pretty decent for a bar. Being one of the only places open in the area to get food the last night of our visit, we can't complain too much. They had a good selection of craft beers, which I found impressive for the style of place it is. The service was... odd. Pretty sure the waitress may have been on something, I haven't had an on-going interaction that weird maybe ever. It was only really busy at the bar, the table area was practically empty, but it was still quite loud, lots of sounds from all over the pace. TV, music, gaming machines, a little hard to have a real conversation. I'd say give it a chance if you're passing through, just be prepared for the ambiance and service. read more
