They just can't get it right. I'm currently sitting in the parking lot on my second trip here, because they simply can't get an order right. This is the 6th time in a row. I keep ordering, because they're close and they make the best pizza in KC; but yeah, ordered boneless wings and a Joe's KC pizza. Pizza was right, wings were bone-in. Not a huge deal, but seriously, this is basically just another in a long line of orders where something hasn't been right. Last time it was a buffalo chicken pizza that had the wrong cheese. Time before that they goobered my pie with unwanted onions. Time before that they forgot an appetizer. It's just something every time. I'm not sure how this place keeps getting it wrong when every other Minsky's I've been to gets it right every time. It's just not okay; get better. read more

Minsky's has been great tasting pizza each time I have gotten it.

Minsky's is always a good local KC staple for me. It would be up there with my favorites. Their toppings and ingredients always come out fresh and tasting well. I enjoy their ratio when it comes to sauce/cheese/crust. To me, that's always a big factor in which way I will lean with pizzas. We had a problem with a previous order and they gave us a credit that was extremely easy and convenient to use. My only slight knock would be the cheese bread. Not sure why, but it lacks a solid flavor. It never lacks cheese, but typically comes out tasting pretty close to bread. Either way, we love going here and would definitely recommend. read more

Horrible customer service, average pizza at best. Some days it's okay, some days it's "good", some days it's bad. If you order online or over the phone, whatever time they tell you add another 30-45 minutes, no joke. Every time I decide to give them a other chance they blow it. There's better options. read more

This was the WORST dining experience I've had in the Pandemic!!!! I ordered a pizza for pickup at 5:00pm and chose curbside pickup. I arrived at 6pm to pick it up. I tried calling the number to let them know what slot I was in but I was hung up on twice. I went in and it was a zoo. I went up the counter and was told it wasn't ready and they didn't know when it would be. Was told to "hang" (employees only instructions). I went outside to my car and waited for another 25 mins before getting fed up and went back in and asked was going on. The manager said the order was ready but didn't know where I was. Their pizzas are always the best but we tried the meatball sub one night. Luckily we split it and we still had enough for lunch the next day. Service here is always prompt and it's not as noisy as some restaurants can get these days. One of our favorite places when we are craving comfort food. read more

We've eaten at this Minsky's several times and rarely have issues. The last two times however have been less than average. We ordered a delivery at 455pm my confirmation email said it would be 55 minutes before the delivery would be made. No problem! One hour and 25 minutes later no pizza no call nothing. My wife called the restaurant and they said it hadn't left yet. They agreed to give us a discount to come get the pizza...once again no problem...things happen. Once I arrived at the restaurant I was told my pizza wasn't done. Which is not what I was told on the phone. I waited 10 minutes for someone to open a delivery bag right in front of me and hand me my pizza...again no problem. Got home they only took off the delivery fee on my receipt and the pizza was not good! Do better minskys. I gave them a 3 because we never had issues until the last two orders read more

We used to REALLY love this place, BUT it's really gone downhill. The waitstaff was amazing as well as the pizza. Now it appears they must be understaffed as we were barely checked on, our to go order took quite a while & we were waiting to leave for entirely too long. Good pizza sure. Considering how many pizza places are out there you'd think they could put in a little more effort on their service. Multiple times I've called their store only to be greeted with someone who won't take my order or has to ask someone for help. When you factor that all (Specially when you see their menu prices) it's better to just get your pizzas somewhere else. read more

I ordered the five star pizza after having it in Kansas City. I was obsessed with the pizza and noticed there was a Minsky's near me. I ordered for pick up. When I opened the box the pizza looked seemingly odd it was round it looked like O rolled the Pizza out myself. The pizza was underdone and maybe a cheese bread at best. I normally let things slide but I had to call back and ask for a new one. I paid $20 for a medium pizza and it was just terrible. The manager was nice and said he would remake my pizza, I asked for thin crust and maybe this time it wouldn't end up looking like cheese bread. Update, they were nice when we went in to pick up the replacement pizza. It looked better but my husband explained it as bland cheese and crackers. Overall, I wouldn't spend nearly $20 on a medium pizza here again. Although the staff was friendly. Pie five is better than any pizza place at any given day for $5. read more

Went away from the usual calzones or pizza options and opted for splitting spinach artichoke dip and lasagna instead. We really liked the addition of bacon to the dip for a nice flavor combination. The pita bread was a little over cooked but doable. In terms of lasagna, it came out under cooked in the middle. The staff were great and put in a new order for us. We enjoyed the full cooked version and dipping the bread sticks in the sauce. This Minsky's is a go-to for us. read more

We had a HUGE group of people and the waitress was super friendly. It took quite awhile to get our food, but it's understandable with as many people as we had. Second bad experience at this location. Long waits for food including appetizers. Several idle employees goofing off out front. Delivered food to half our party. When they were nearly finished we were told another five minutes and chose to cancel remaining orders and pick up fast food for a very hungry child. Previous visit also long wait for food and idle staff out front. Computer system went down so we were asked to estimate and pay cash and wait in line to pay our check or wait for their computer to come back up. Hate to do it, but Minski's totally pissed me off tonight. I'm accustomed to their long delivery times, but when they lost my order (waited 1 1/2 hour to call them to check status), that did it. Perhaps if management (Ryan Hall) had seemed apologetic, this review wouldn't have happened ($6.00 off my order is not what I'd call sufficient; and I had to ask "what are you guys going to do to make this right?" I shouldn't have to do that). I'm not a negative type guy. In fact, I never write reviews but felt compelled to set up a Yelp account just to vent. Minsky's, you have great pizza, but you've lost a former advocate and customer. ***update.... Manager surprised me with free cheesy bread. This pizza is very good and despite all the bad reviews about the management, I have never had a problem with the customer service. The Papa Minsky's is one of my favorite from the menu along with the Mediterranean. Very good pizza and would recommend this place to everyone. read more

Yeah... we normally have a good experience when ordering from this location, but today the food was far less appealing and appetizing. The pizza was misshapen and looked like it had been thrown together. Also, the pizza tasted like it had been cooked in a microwave...salad wasn't much better with several pieces of lettuce that were brown and wasn't fresh at all. read more

I have been going to Minsky's stores since 1980, always had great service and this one is close to my house, I sit at the bar and talk to the bartender, This is not u everyday place to eat, No 3.2 beer here, its the real thing, I like their beer they have made for their store,the place is in a nice area and it can be busy, a Brother and Sister that works here, very nice family,The one thing that keeps me coming back is cheeseburger pizza, fell in love with that and many places try but doesn't beat Minsky's, Tuesday lunch special is cheeseburger pizza read more

I rarely eat pizza but was craving something different. I tried the beef tostada pizza. Firstly, it was delivered about 20 min early during dinner time. All the toppings were in a seperate container and very plentiful! It was wonderful, full of cheese! I will definitely be ordering from them again! read more
