Lisa quickly verified my health insurance and the hygienist was great at her job. Dr. Penn was friendly and really makes you feel at ease. That was almost 8 years ago! I absolutely love everything about Dr. Penn's office. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The majority of Dr. Penn's staff are longtime employees and obviously they are the glue that holds everything together. I always request Paula when scheduling my visits but on the few occasions that she has been out of the office, the other hygienists have been great too. My teenager outgrew his pediatric dentist and has been seeing Dr. Penn for a few years as well. If Dr. Penn is not on your dental insurance plan please call their office as out of pocket expenses are very reasonable and well worth it. This is not a fancy dental office with flat screen TVs. No, this little gem in the OC is all 80s! But if you like Southern hospitality then this is the place for you.

Found it right at bed time, funny how that's when kids like to tell you about things! We called here around 9pm and we were seen at 9:45pm. Consultation/drainage/tooth extraction for a total of $700, and $30 for the medication from the pharmacy. Considering how a tooth abscess can be a life threatening condition, I was blown away. I've taken my kids to emergency rooms before only to leave with nothing more than the same problem I entered with and a $1,000+ bill. We had been saving up for the past few months, we had hoped for a family vacation at the end of the summer (we've never had one since our kids were born) and unfortunately we had to rob Peter to pay Paul. However, the staff was great and made sure my kid felt safe and comfortable to ease her nerves.

The entry is very nice with modern white couches and TV so the wait didn't seem long. I came in because I had a crown from 10+ years ago fall out and wanted to compare doctors. I went to another dentist and my first visit with them I had zero cavities or issues but only 6 months later when I went back in I mysteriously had 9 million things to fix with outrageous prices. I wanted a second opinion so I came to FLOSS. Dr. Rob was super helpful and explained every part of the exam to me in detail then showed me the trouble areas. He told me what was important to get taken care of right away and what could wait if needed. The woman in charge of billing was super nice and showed me the break down of what it would cost out of pocket and what my insurance would cover. They were able to do the procedures I needed same day and I don't know if I'm just older and it hurts less but let me tell you the pain was extremely minimal. A little bit of pressure and sensitivity but otherwise it was a walk in the park compared to what I remembered as a child. I started at 10:20 and walked out by 2pm with very minimal waiting. I highly recommend all of the staff at FLOSS and I will be referring my friends.

The awesome part is that if you're a new patient, you get a free Zoom whitening. Everyone in the office is so nice and welcoming. Never are they condescending or judgmental - that's just not how they roll. My second and third visits were for a root canal. As expected, I was pretty terrified. It wasn't bad at all. Seriously. It was easy. And, better yet, Dr. Boothe and her team are so skilled that I had virtually no pain after. Most importantly, Floss takes most dental insurance and is really good about helping with payment plans and discounts. I can't recommend them more highly.
