Overall the office just wasn't the right fit for me, (this is not to take away from how KIND everyone in the office was) the 2 stars is strictly due to the atmosphere- in my opinion the office was a little hectic everyone was kinda running around / all over the place. The dentists rotate regularly. You will rarely ever see the same dentist twice. Two dentists had to repair what another dentist messed up with a filling. Will have permanent pain in the tooth now. The office staff is very rude in that they rarely look up. They bark orders to fill out paperwork every single visit. The parking validation method is a fiasco. A real customer service establishment would offer to do it for you. There? No, it's "validate your parking there" without even bothering to look up. The only thing this office has that's remotely positive is the hours of operation. Other than that, if you value your dental and mental health, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It's really not worth it when there are higher quality offices elsewhere who truly value you as a patient and customer. read more

My dear and friend dentist of 30 years died unexpectedly a few years ago. I had just chipped a front tooth and needed to find someone fast. I called West Davis and they got me in quickly with Dr. Ambriz who is a skilled cosmetic dentist and he did a beautiful job for me. He is no longer there though. I was having a tooth ache recently and called for an appointment. I had researched and decided to choose Dr. Enoksen. Took a little while to get in to see him but it was worth the wait. X-rays were taken and he showed me (gotta love the technology) that I had a necrotic tooth. He said the 2 possible solutions were a root canal, which he would try for first, or extraction and a bridge. Made another appointment. He is so booked that it always takes a while. He worked on me for 2 hours and could only get 2 of 3 canals. Needed another appointment for him to try to find the third. Came back, he worked and worked on it. Said he liked a challenge and he got it. I was impressed. Others would have given up and gone the other route. Some dentists just do what they are trained to. Some have a gift and care. Dr. Enoksen is one of those. He's also a very nice man. I hope he will always be my dentist from here on. I should also say intitially I was a bit put off by the size of West Davis Dental, the feel is a bit factory like. You don't get the same assistant every time, but everyone is good, and nice. It's only about 10 minutes from where I live which is another plus. read more

Completely Unacceptable Nightmare!!! I have been going to West Davis Dental for over 10 years, have never had a problem with regular dental cleanings and the occasional filling. However, if you're in need of a more extensive procedure such as a crown, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I have just had the most HORRIFIC experience with them. I went in on May 28th for what should have been the first half of the crown treatment, it is now July 25th and Im sitting here with 8+ hours of my life wasted, with an UNCOMFORTABLE too big WRONG shade crown in my mouth. What would normally be a two-appointment procedure has turned out to be a 4 now 5 or more appointment ordeal! (paid $681.25 upfront for the treatment, that with what insurance had already paid) I have been seen and worked on by a different dentist every-time I have had to go back for this issue. May 28th the day of the first appointment was a clear indicator that the staff was not up to par for the procedure. The tech who was assisting was unsure if things where right, she kept asking others for feedback on things, the temporary crown was uncomfortable from the get-go, they spent hours doing impressions and getting the temp crown to fit "comfortably". When I checked out, I notified the office staff of my upcoming travel plans and asked them to please schedule me in prior to the 11th if the crown was received from the lab by then. My trip was scheduled from June 11th to the 21st. I went ahead and scheduled what should have been the second half of treatment for the 21st. Low and behold my temporary crown chips (towards the top where it connects with the gums) on June 15th while I am traveling out of state (it was never secured correctly to begin with). I call the office to ask if I should seek treatment or do anything in the meantime, they say "No" I ask them if my crown is in yet, they respond and tell me they had received it the week of June 4th....mind you I informed them of my upcoming travel and asked them to call me and schedule me in before I left so that I wouldn't have to wear the temporary for such a long time. From June 15th to June 24th, I am left with a VERY UNCOMFORTABLE CHIPPED temporary crown in my mouth. June 24th, I go in expecting this already bad experience to be over for it to only get worse. The permanent crown did not cement correctly once placed or so they say, none the less I had to endure them cracking the permanent crown out of my mouth. the entire time the dentist and the tech where not receptive to my stress and anxiety as I had to endure this crown placement gone wrong. They sent me home with the same crappy temporary crown, the one that previously chipped. July 15th, almost a month later my new crown is in and its HUGE! the dentist kept trying to shave it down to make it fit, she eventually gave up, requested new scans and sent me home with a new temporary crown, seems she realized the existing one was TRASH! July 25th, I go into what I am hoping will finally be an end to this dental nightmare, only for it to continue. The dentist spent 15 or so minutes shaving this new permanent crown down because once again it was too large. They pulled up a mirror to my mouth before they cemented this crown for me to see it, with a gauze in my mouth holding the crown in place I could see about 25% of it in the mirror. They proceeded to cement it in; mind you, I have been numbed for this procedure, so my mouth feels weird. As I am checking out, the office staff informs me that Josie office manager approved a $200 refund for my crown. I head to my car and decide to inspect the crown a little further as the numbing is starting to wear off, only for the CHAOS to continue. The permanent crown is visibly and clearly the wrong color for my teeth, and with the numbing wearing off it still feels too big. I go back into the office and request to speak to the Dentist, today It was Dr. Patel, I inform her of my concern, she takes me back and inspects the crown, she agrees the color is off! I'd like to understand why with her being the professional and the expert in the subject matter she didn't bring this up? When they initially help up the mirror to show me the crown, they did not ask me to check the color or anything of such. If she agreed on the color issue after the fact how could she NOT SEE IT as she was working on it? I have been brought to TEARS over this nightmare! I never in a million years would have expected this from WDD. There is no consistency in the staff assisting either. the office staff / operating system has major communication breakdowns. They have left me voicemails stating one thing only for me call them back and have them say something completely different. I've requested that office manager - Josie (who is inconveniently never there when I am) to give me a call on multiple occasions in regard to the CROWN SITUATION, only for her to never call me. I have been coming to West Davis for many years..when I came in yesterday to have my teeth cleaned the lady at the desk asked if I had my phone(which I did not!)..she told me the next time I had to scan a QR code to validate my parking!!!Whose bright idea was that??I was parked out front (where I usually park,duh!!) and..what if I didn't have a phone at all..I walked out and will not come back..I will find another dentist..I am so tired of people relying on phones to do things(or not do things they should be doing!!..like the number of people on their phones when they should be working!!(or driving,or walking their dogs, or..I can go on and on..)..this is yet another useless use of phones that is not necessary..what..are you going to charge people for parking if they are in the dentist too long!!?? I had a little pain in one of my teeth, so I went in to have it checked. One of the doctors went to work, after over an hour of her working in my mouth, eventually the pain got so bad that she sent me home with a temporary cap, a prescription for pain meds, an antibiotics and a follow up meeting for a root canal. I went ahead and paid for the work in full and set a follow up appointment. I left with my whole face swollen and bruised. My next visit was with another doctor who come to find out was the owner, actually a really nice personality and great bedside manner. He ask me what happened during my last visit and if the pain was gone. I still had some pain and I told him everything. He takes a look in my mouth and takes new x-rays. Then informs me that I do not need a root canal and that my pain from the last visit was from damage the last doctor had done to my gums. He then explains that my tooth still hurts bc the cap the last doctor put on wasn't done correctly. He makes a new temporary cap then asks me to stop taking the pain meds and the antibiotic, and to set up a follow up meeting to get a permanent cap put on, I do so. Then my next visit... a gentleman calls me back, he puts me in my char and for about 30min is doing something in my mouth. During this time I'm assuming that he is my dentist for the day because he tells me how he was a dental surgeon in his country then moved to the US to work. He pops of my cap and then drills around in my mouth for a while, the whole time talking about blood and how most people are afraid of blood and how much he actually likes blood. In the mean time, I'm just laying on my back with tools working away in my mouth. Eventually he does something that takes my pain from 0 to 100! I lift my arm and give a little yell. He stops, walks out and says "your doctor will be with you shortly..." The actual dentist comes in, puts on my new cap. Says "it's ready to go, you could eat a steak today and it will be just fine..." he wishes me a good day and I'm gone. Pain continues for a few weeks, I was giving it time to go away but eventually I gave in and went back for my 4th visit. I couldn't afford to pay for the same treatment twice and I had already paid up front. I start off with a complaint, they tell me that because the owner of the company was the last to work on me that they didn't want anyone to touch me until he returned from out of country. They schedule me for a 5th visit for a few days later. I come in for my 5th visit and as I start to complain to the owner he tells me "it could be worse no one died..." he seemed much different this time, and come to find out he was returning from a funeral where a loved one of his had died from a routine medical procedure (non dental). Of course I feel for him. He takes a quick look and says "we can fix the pain." He field down the cap a little so it would touch first when I bite down. He reinsures me that this will do the trick. Well now it's only a few months later and that same tooth is hurting like crazy again. I'm going to a new dentist to get this properly fixed this time. The moral of the story... pay after you are happy with the work. read more

My tech Gabriel was awesome, he was very informative and careful with my mouth because I had a abscess on my tooth that had my face swollen; gentle hands and kind through out my whole visit. Very unhappy with the fillings they have done on 1 tooth as the original I had in Houston lasted 15 years. Since it chipped and west Davis dental 'fixed' it, it has chipped 3 times under 1.5 years. Several dentist come and go. I do not think they hire good experienced dentist. read more

Being open seven days a week is most convenient. They accept dental insurance so cleanings are covered. Doctors and hygienists are friendly and the environment is clean and stress-reducing. Their COVID safety protocols made me feel comfortable getting routine cleanings. They filled my first cavity with little pain. When I needed a new retainer they had it the day after taking impressions. I haven't felt pressured for unnecessary X-rays or whitening. read more

I used to go here for all my dental needs and rave about the great service and amazing work they do here. I truly felt like all the staff was so personable and worked so hard to be cognizant of your time and health. However, I convinced my friend to come here who had had multiple bad experiences with other dentists and hadn't been for a cleaning or check-up in a few years. I told them about all my great experiences, offered to come with them, and they finally agreed to try it. Their cleaning experience was a little long as it was right after the workday, so there were quite a few people getting work done, but it was done well and with minimal difficulties. Everyone was very pleasant, no one made a big deal, great. They found a few cavities and scheduled a time a month later in order to fill those. I didn't go with my friend for the procedures, but I really wish I had. They were given a numbing agent and then waited about an hour before the dentists began working on their teeth, at which point they texted me that the numbing agent had started to wear off!! They had to readminister the numbing agent and they kept coming in, working, then leaving to see other patients. The appointment began at 10AM, my friend didn't leave until 2:30, which was ridiculous, and now any desire to get regular teeth cleanings has been shot. I called and left a message with the front desk, who said they would pass on my concerns to the manager, but I got no response. Truly so disappointing, especially after being their biggest fan and suggesting all my friends go there. Not only have I stopped going, but I would warn anyone else coming here to make sure that if they're getting a procedure, make sure you ask for an appointment time where you will be a priority instead of just another person in the office. read more

I should start by saying, I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. Like, I call and reschedule my appointments a couple times because it stresses me out. I had unpleasant visits growing up. Anyway, my girlfriend encourages me to try this place and I'm glad I did. This dentist office is truly the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. I always leave more confident to return. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They help ease my stress every visit. This place is so good that I am trying to get my parents to go here! (If that isn't an endorsement then what is?) I have some pretty bad dental anxiety...but everyone here was very kind and no one chided me/shamed me for the state of my not-so-ivories. My landlady had been singing their praises so I decided to pay them a visit. Judy was my hygienist and she was fabulous! I got a deep clean that didn't hurt a mite and am scheduled for a polish and filling this Saturday (unfortunately not with Judy but I love that they have Saturday morning appointments for us busybodies!) I waited 3 weeks to schedule my orthodontist appointment for a Saturday because that's the only day the doctor will see me on the weekend . I get there and the lady tells me that they don't have any doctor available but I could get my cleaning done while I wait for a doctor. I LOVE this place!!! So my wisdom tooth was coming out and it was incredibly painful to the point where I couldn't chew my food and was experiencing migraine on the side with the problematic tooth. Seeing how it happened on a Sunday, I thought I would have to take off work and try to get an appointment the following week.. Just when I was getting hopeless, yelp helped me locate West Davis Dental - the ONLY dentist's office that's open on SUNDAYS! I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I called before hand and gave them my insurance info. Upon arrival, I completed some paperwork and the waited about 5 mins when Adria (I think that was her name) called me in. She was the best! We took some x-rays and photos of my teeth and the doc came to take a look. Dr. Enoksen was awesome as well! He was super nice and knew exactly what needed to be done. They also went over how much the procedure would cost (with my insurance, my portion was about $125 for extracting both top and bottom right wisdom teeth, including the $50 deductible - not bad at all) before he prepped me for the extraction and honestly, the process was so quick and painless I didn't even realize he was done until he showed me my teeth that he had pulled out. The place is well kept, and the staff are happy and focused on their customers. I absolutely love this Practice. The ease of scheduling appointments- the professional office staff, the quality of work- all are reasons why I have been a patient for years. Prior to visiting West Davis Dental I had been going to my dentist (for 12 years)- I would visit him every six months for cleanings, never needed any major dental work. I was sitting in the chair after the hygienist cleaned my teeth, the doctor walks in and does an exam, shakes his head and states 'why don't you go to Monarch or some other place to get your teeth cleaned, I've seen you for years and I don't make any money off just cleaning your teeth- he wasn't joking. Stunned at his lack of appreciation for being a long term, regular patient- I said ok. Guess what - I did just that. My next cleaning was with West Davis Dental, and I've never been happier. I have eventually had to have more significant dental work done and couldn't be happier that it was with a practice that actually appreciates my business, which they clearly do. It also makes me happy that my x dentist didn't get the money from the procedures. Here's an example of how exceptional they are, last week I went in and had a cleaning had x-rays and they identified two teeth that needed crowns. (They were running a special Black Friday 50% off- another great thing West Davis does is they periodically run amazing specials) - today when I went in to get the crowns the dentist said 'after reviewing your chart and what we had planned for today, I really think we can do one crown and fix the other with simply replacing the filling' I was so thankful for their honesty. I had a crown done and will have the filling replaced in the near future- I had prepaid for the two expected crowns....when I was checking out the receptionist said we will refund your card since the second crown wasn't necessary- I didn't even have to ask.... this is exceptional service. Bottom line is. West Davis Dental has the highest integrity- professionalism. The quality of their work is unmatched.... If looking for a solid practice that exceeds your expectations, then look no further- West Davis Dental is that practice. read more

This has been my go to dentist for over 20 years. I even pay out of pocket for cleanings because my insurance doesn't cover this practice. I wouldn't normally do this but the service from the receptionist to the dentist is bar none, top shelf. That is until I took my son here. The insurance coordinator was unable to verify my insurance (we went in on a Sunday) she said she would call me Monday. It was now Wednesday, I called and was told someone would call me back they were super busy. Called again on Friday, same message. Called the following Monday and I was given the same message but this time I was told if I could wait 5 minutes someone would talk to me. Once the coordinator got on the phone she didn't introduce herself just started talking. She wasn't empathetic to the situation just said " this is the first time I'm hearing this" and moved along. This whole situation is really off putting because I know what a wonderful place this use to be. Best dental clinic I have ever been to: I had a serious, aggressive condition called Invasive Cervical External Resorption. 2 dentist here in Fort Lauderdale, FL said we have to pull the tooth, do bone graft and implant. Dr. Sigurd Enoksen at West Davis Dental however said he could save the tooth. I flew 1000 miles to DFW and had Dr. Enoksen do the surgery. This is 3 weeks ago. Painless and successful. I will keep coming back, even if I have to buy hotel rooms and airline tickets. A no-brainer really. read more

The staff and Dentists here are professional, friendly and take time to explain procedures and expenses. I have been going to Dr. Enoksen since 1992 and my 13 year old has never been to another dentist other than West Davis. I would highly recommend this office and I love that I never wait more than a few minutes to be seen. Had a dental emergency - one of my front teeth broke! Had gone to emergency room on Sunday. After being treated and stabilized I was told to see my dentist first thing Monday morning. My regular dentist was on vacation. Friend referred me to W Davis Dental. They told me to come right in. Treatment was wonderful. I wish I had known about them earlier - I could have seen them Sunday and saved lots of $$ avoiding emergency room costs.
