First time in to mint Indian Bistro. We went in for the lunch buffet. We are locals and we eat out often. I don't know how many favorite places one can have, but this is definitely one of them for us! Service was excellent, food was delicious and lovely to look at, the buffet bar was clean, well-maintained with fresh offerings from the kitchen. All the offerings were clearly identified and visually appealing. We were greeted and sat by Anitha who ran the front of house. She was courteous, polite, efficient and really on top of the entire restaurant, orders, clearing plates, customer needs in an entirely full, every table loaded restaurant. Really a very good job by her taking care of customers and the restaurant. Mint is a small, intimate place. This is one of 3 locations and is relatively new. If one wishes to be cremated by the Las Vegas heat, there is a nice little patio outside. They've done a good job laying out the smallish inside. Seats and tables are comfortable, noise level is average to a little above average when the restaurant is full. One sits and are generally looking at the buffet and the very busy kitchen behind it. The guys cooking and making rice and bringing out naan were hustling. We waited for nothing as Anitha and staff were quick to clear plates, bring additional naan, water, and check in with us periodically. Food is fresh, authentic, nice looking, smells great and is incredibly flavorful. We were served delicious hot, fresh garlic naan that smelled and tasted just so wonderful. The buffet was surprisingly expansive with plenty for meat eaters and vegetarians as well. Apparently choices are switched out everyday. 4 or 5 chicken or goat or mutton offerings, 6 or 7 vegetarian or vegan offerings. I loved that some of the food had plenty of good spice heat to the food without overpowering the flavors. There is also a salad bar and desert area. Today gulab jamun was featured. There is a bar, and a selection of wine and beer available. My only critical observation was that it was a little too warm inside. That was no doubt a function of the kitchen close at hand and a very full restaurant, full of people including quite a few native Southeast Asian customers. So it was kind of funny... I was driving home from eating Indian food at my "Go to" spot... when I saw Mint. I've been to the location by the strip many times, but didn't know they opened this location. Needless to say I was pretty excited to see this. We came in soon after discovering they were here and ordered a bunch of stuff. The main thing I loved here was the Cheese Dosa. Without a doubt it's a winner. It's pretty large and the sauces it's served with are top notch. We also got buttered chicken which was decent but seemed to be lacking a bit of flavor. I tried the Chicken Peshawari, which was good... but had very little sauce and for $25 dollars so it seemed a bit lacking. We tried the chili paneer, which was decent, but it had a sorta tangy flavor (almost Worcestershire sauce, like) that I've never noted with this dish at other locations. They charged for rice, which seems like it would be included when two of us ordered basically 4 entrees and 3 appetizer's lol. The naan was good, and as expected. The mixed pickles, (admittedly an acquired taste) were great. They have a very pungent flavor profile that I enjoy. Also fun to give my kids a little sample of them to watch their face twist :))) Seating was comfortable and there wasn't a wait. Servers were friendly and asked "are you sure" when I ordered half the menu for the two of us which we got a good chuckle from. Probably should've timed it better and come in for the lunch buffet. The sign says it's daily, and runs from 11-3. They close from 3-5 so when we arrived at 430, they hadn't reopened yet, so we sat in the car for a bit (our fault for not checking). Overall I'll be back. Probably for dosa's and naan. I'll give the chicken tikka masala a try next time as well :) read more

Came here for the first time for my birthday with my Mom. The lunch buffet is truly excellent. The ambiance is very nice with the art & neon signs. I personally went back for 3 plates. My mom had a good time as well. We didn't need much service for the buffet. However the server was very nice & brought some delicious garlic naan for me. I'll definitely be back. read more

The food here is not bad. I'm thankful for the vegan options. I just wish there were more options like the garlic naan bread. The service was great and fast. We were told that there is a buffet from 11 to maybe 3 PM I think. So next time I will check that out as I would like to try more options but not pay a lot. read more

Went to the lunch buffet today about 2 hours before the end of the buffet. The food tasted great however the buffet items needed to be restocked. The tandoori chicken was almost gone before they restocked it. The paneer was all gone from the paneer saag, and several other dishes needed to be restocked. First off, let me say that the food is delicious and there are two lady managers that are wonderful, kind and professional. The setting is cute. I went there for the buffet and was enjoying my lunch. All of a sudden one of the kitchen employees went into the bathroom, which was close to the table I sat on and started to spit very loudly. Extremely gross. I let the lady manager know and she apologized and took care of my complaint with care and professionalism. So I decided to come and give them a second chance. Again I went for the buffet. I was enjoying my food and found a hair in it. This time I didn't say anything. I paid and left. I won't be coming back most probably. Amazing Indian food!! I have finally found a place in Nevada that serves great Indian cuisine! We had the butter chicken, tikka masala and tandoori chicken. Don't get me wrong, the food is really good. However; I have been to both the Anthem location and the one on Durango. Both have great buffets, but the selection of the buffet in Anthem is 1/2, if not 1/3 of what is being offered at the Durango location. Sadly, both buffet prices are the same. Best indian food we had in Vegas, went to this place straight 2 days. If you are a south indian spice lover go to this place for sure. We tried Dosa, Biryani, Egg masala and Chicken tikka, they made sure the spice levels while ordering and tasted so good. Place looks clean and nice ambiance. First time here. Staff was very friendly and helpful when I told them I was new to their restaurant. I ordered to go so will return for the dining experience. I ordered the famous butter chicken with garlic naan. I added an order of veggie samosas too. Price was a little on the high end for my taste but after eating the food it was worth it. Overall, they did a nice job in updating the dining room from when it was a noodle restaurant. Unfortunately, the food and service did match the ambience. There wasn't much hospitality around the service. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but once our server heard we weren't interested in beverage she pretty much blew us off. While we were working our way through the menu she came by three times, "are you ready yet?" Pretty annoying as we had already told her we were new to this establishment and was not familar with their menu. We decided on the Chicken Vindaloo ($17.99) and the Famous Chicken Tandoori (18.99) , plus and order of Butter Chilli Garlic Naan ($6.99). While not familiar with this restaurant we do know good Indian food from bad Indian food. This turned out to be bad. All of the food was overcooked. The Naan was cold, stale and tough. The Tandoori Chicken was badly overcooked with burnt spots. There were 3 legs and 2 thighs so overcooked you could barely cut them with a knife. The Vindaloo was also overcooked--thick and gloppy--mostly bits of chicken and lots of overcooked potatoes. All of this was surprising because of all the decent reviews on Yelp. Our meal tasted like reheated food from their lunch buffet. Overall, we left most of our disgusting food and went to another restaurant for dinner. What a waste of money ($47.65, plus $8.00 tip = $55.65). I really like Indian-style food and this wasn't it. read more
