Pastries galore! I had the matcha crumble and this is hands down my fave thing I've had here. The taste was great and not too aggressive and the texture of the bread was spot on and fluffy. The inside and outer top crumble were yummy and not overly sweet or anything. The French onion soup bagel was interesting! I guess you can't go wrong with an onion bagel but this thing was stacked w onion! It was good but def not something I could finish in a sitting. The corn bagel was our fave! My husband and I enjoyed it together and thought it had a nice kick. I love that the bagels are semi cut in a manner that it's divisible into six parts w cream cheese in between. It makes it fun and easy to share. :)

Miopane is a Taiwanese bagel chain and this cafe is Miopane's first U.S. location. There was a lot of hype surrounding the cafe when it first opened in late December 2025 and there was still a waiting line when our party visited a month ago. I haven't seen this kind of craze on a Taiwanese bakery chain since 85°C Bakery opened its first location in Irvine in September 2008. [Parking]: There's a public parking lot 3 blocks away from the shop (where Amara Cafe & Restaurant is located) and the rate is $1 for two hours. [Amenity]: The cafe is relatively small with just one table and few window seats. Utensils are available across from the cashier counter. There is one restroom inside the cafe. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted baked goods are the Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish and Strawberry Shortcake Bagel. Other notable bagel flavors include Garlic Butter Bagel and Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel. Our party was hoping to try the Mango Cream Cheese Bagel, but it was not available on the day of our visit. The cafe also sells matcha and hojicha drinks. *** Black Sesame Cream Cheese Bagel ($6.50): In a sense, this bagel tasted a bit like an Oreo except the cream cheese filling made it more like bagel. The bagel itself was a bit dry. Matcha Crumble ($7.50): It reminded me of a Chinese pineapple bun (bolo bao) but with matcha instead. Upside down Sticky Buns ($8.75): The sticky buns from Cream Pan is much better. The sugar glaze was on the pecans rather than the bun which I wasn't a fan of. *** While I appreciate that their pastries are not something you would typically find at a traditional donut shop or Taiwanese bakery, the results of combining the two were surprisingly underwhelming. Unique bakery creations, but a bit overhyped in my book.

The pastries are tasty! I like that they offer to heat any of the pastries up which I recommend, because they do taste better that way. Large variety, but unique flavors! We got 4 pastries and one drink. Maple green onion croissant - loved it, really tasty and savory and crispy edges with a slight sweetness with the maple Mango cream bagel - the most 'traditional' bagel we had in the bunch and it was fluffy with a slight sweetness but not too sweet. The bagel with the least amount of cream inside we got, but had little chunks of mango in there too. French Onion - loved it, very cream cheese-y which I like and the carmelized onions were good and plentiful to be in every bite. Whipped tomato pesto, with fresh tomatoes on top. I love tomatoes so this was a winner for me too! For drinks we got the black sesame einspanner, which the staff told us does not have espresso in it?!? Maybe I'm not educated but I thought einspanners always have caffeine in it, but maybe it only refers to the cream top? I was so confused and you have to pay extra to put espresso in it, when the drink is already over $8 (with a milk substitute) so we added an espresso shot at home since we live so close. My only quarrel is their ordering/line situation. Maybe they intentionally make it slow to make sure the staff is not overwhelmed, but it feels inefficient and as someone who has decision fatigue and a people pleaser, I feel awkward making staff wait and just stare at you while you're trying to make a decision. You have to wait in line outside the establishment (which is why there always looks to be a line) and then they call you to come in and that's only when you can see the display of what's available. One suggestion could be to have a menu outside or today's pastries listed and say (as available) outside so people can get an idea ahead of time and come with a plan. Prices are. a little hard to read as well. All the staff were friendly and there is some bar seating along the window-wall and one large communal table.

    Earl Grey Scone
    Tiffany H.

Overall, the pastries at Miopane were yummy but nothing mind blowing. I ordered the earl grey scone, garlic cream cheese bagel, mango bagel and my friend got the maple scallion croissant. The earl grey scone was yummy! It had a bit too much orange peels for my liking though. The earl grey flavor was pleasant and the chocolate chips weren't too sweet. The mango bagel was decent as well! It didn't have a strong mango flavor and I wish it had more cream cheese, and as you can see in the photo it is on the drier end. The scallion maple croissant tasted alright, it tasted like another pastry I would get from 85 degrees or 99 ranch. Neat concept but mediocre execution. The garlic bagel was probably my favorite! The garlic flavor is super strong and has so many garlic bits in the cream cheese that it was a bit spicy! Service was excellent! The workers there are all kind and helpful. There is some seating inside the store but it is small. Parking can be a bit difficult since it's in old town Pasadena. We parked in a parking structure near by. Would return to try their other pastries and for the garlic bagel.

Popular bagel shop located in Pasadena. They're popular for their cream cheese stuffed bagels with lots of different interesting flavor combinations. You should also know this is a Taiwanese bakery. So don't come here expecting a traditional (bagel) shop he might find on the west side. I tried coming to this place earlier around the time they were opening, but the lines were crazy long. I finally found myself in the area on an afternoon during the weekday so when I drove by, there was zero to little line. Thought it was the perfect time to go and grab stuff. The inside is clean and chill. Especially when there's no crazy line waiting to get inside. People were actually sitting and enjoying their food. I got their popular garlic cream cheese, stuffed bagel, and I got something a little bit more experimental, which was their 'Mexican street corn' bagel. I really enjoyed each of them, especially with one of their Matcha Einspanners to wash everything down. As I was sitting there, enjoying my food, one of the people working there allowed me to taste one of their experimental combinations they were working on as well. So fun! Definitely a great treat to enjoy specially if there's little to no line. Personally I'm not sure if I could wait during the busy times.

WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE & GARLIC BUTTER

I saw this on my social media feed for awhile and finally had the time to check it out. Supposedly it has longer wait times from my friend's experience but I got lucky. I came on a Sunday around 2-3pm and the line had a few people out the door but the wait wasn't more than 20ish minutes. Inside there's a few tables for seating but it was packed when I came so I got my things to go. I tried the garlic cream, the matcha crumble and the sour cream & onion cream cheese bagels. Overall I think the matcha crumble was the stand out. It was their sweeter option but it wasn't too sweet and had good matcha flavor. Kinda reminded me of a matcha cake. The other two options were savory and were good except I felt the sour cream & onion cream cheese was alittle too much for the amount of bagel you get? It would have been nice to be able to have the cream on the side to be able to add as needed. The garlic cream has a very strong garlic taste from the chunks of garlic so be mindful of that. Overall the flavor was decent. I just felt it was alittle pricey for three bagels I spent almost 30 dollars. But glad I got to try it out. It's located in downtown Pasadena so there are parking structures nearby if you want to pay for parking. Otherwise you might need to try your luck on street parking.

    Everything & Egg Breakfast Croissant.
    Matthew S.

Miopane is a true pasadena gem. After seeing it endlessly online and driving past it I finally decided to dedicate a weekend to stop by. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had the blueberry croissant, jalapeño sharp cheddar bagel, whipped tomato pesto bagel, and the everything and egg breakfast croissant. (Trust me you'll want to order this much too!) The cream cheese is light and fluffy on all of these bagels with plenty of flavor allowing for a unique experience on each item. The pesto is not too overpowering yet packed with flavor. The fruit purées tastes fresh and just sweet enough but not overpowering. The real star player is the bread itself whether it's buttery flaky croissant or chewy soft bagel. As a lover of bread in all shapes and sizes I was impressed. The service of Miopane is 10/10. It is incredibly small inside and giving the foot traffic the line does begin on the sidewalk. As you approach the front they have someone at the door answering any questions and offering recommendations! As you enter the bakery, you will notice 8-10 seats, one restroom, and rest is back of house. The service itself is assembly line met with more nice employees answering any questions about the menu. Stop by Miopane when you are in the area, get there early and come hungry!!

    Mexican Street corn bagel
    Mercy H.

The best bagels ever. I love the Mexican street corn bagel but if you don't like cilantro you might not enjoy the corn bagel as much. The whipped cream cheese with garlic butter is so good too. There is something for everyone here. The line is usually out the door when we arrive but it goes by quick. All the workers are very professional and kind. Space is limited but we always find seats by the time we checkout. 10/10 eats. Highly recommend!

Matcha crumble bagel & elote bagel
    Jenny C.

I came on a weekend, so there was a bit of a wait. The employees were very efficient at moving people along, so I did not wait more than 10 minutes to order and receive my items. There is also ample paid street parking available, but it is usually a hit-or-miss with Old Town Pasadena. I ordered the Matcha Crumble Bagel and Elote Bagel. The Matcha Crumble Bagel did not have much of a matcha taste to it, so it is a skip to me. The Elote Bagel made up for the experience! The roasted corn mixture on top of the bagel complimented the savory-sweet cream cheese filling. Not pictured, but I also tried Garlic Butter Bagel. If you enjoy biting into straight garlic, then this is for you. Otherwise, I would skip it, but hopefully Miopane works on fixing their recipe or maybe the team making it made a bit of an oopsie that day. Their items are hit-or-misses, so I would read the reviews carefully! Only giving this place a 4 star because of how much I like the Elote Bagel.

I it get why this place is so busy. They have a great selection of bagels, desserts, and drinks. We came here on a Saturday around 11 a.m., and it was quite busy, crowded, and had a long line. However, the line moved fast. They have a few tables inside, but they were all packed. We ordered an iced matcha latte to go, three different kinds of bagels, a cinnamon roll, and croissants. Everything we ordered was delicious, even the matcha latte. The staff were friendly, and the place was clean. I suggested order your food to go and go to park which is across from the store.

Hojicha Pillow, Black Sesame Cream Cheese, & Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter
    Mary A.

Got there around 10:30 AM on a Thursday and waited about 30 minutes before getting inside. It was super hot and sunny that day, so I thought it was really kind that the staff offered free water while everyone waited. Service was friendly throughout our visit. The shop itself is pretty small with limited seating inside. They had a huge selection of bagels ranging from savory to sweet. They were also quick to restock trays whenever items ran out. I ordered the Black Sesame Cream Cheese, Sour Cream Onion Cream Cheese, Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter, and the Hojicha Pillow ($8). The bagels ranged from about $7-$9, which is definitely on the pricier side, but they were good. All of the bagels were soft, fresh, and not stale. My favorite was the Sour Cream Onion Cream Cheese. The bagel was fresh and had a strong sour cream and onion flavor. I was excited to try the Black Sesame bagel, but I do wish the black sesame flavor had been stronger. The Hojicha Pillow was good, though I don't think the portion size justified the price. For parking, there is street parking or nearby parking garages. We ended up parking in the garage along N Raymond Ave. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area to try more flavors. I'd recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Solid, aesthetic, and rightfully viral pastries! Second time coming here, and thankfully there was no line on a Wednesday afternoon around 3PM. They've also extended their hours to 6PM instead of 4PM (4 months ago). Last time the Everything Bagel with Smoked Gouda $6.75 was memorable and tasty. Didn't see it this time tho. Matcha crumble bagel was meh. Maple Glaze Croissant $6.50 was also good while the Upside down Sticky Buns $8.75 were tasty w the nut bits and worth a try. This time got the: - Black Sesame Cream Cheese $6.5: true nutty black sesame flavor - Whipped Cream Cheese with Garlic Butter $7.00: simple and always solid - Mexican Street Corn $8.25: unique and kinda taco season-y? Generous amounts of corn. Worth a try and dad liked it too but prob won't get again - Maple Glaze Green Onion $7.95: sooo much onions and brown buttery like w the maple. Good combo but i prob wouldnt get again Drinks are good - would get hojicha again. Def worth coming here, esp when you're lucky enough and there isn't a line.

Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by ordering. A friendly attitude goes a long way, and that was completely missing. The coffee was even more disappointing. It had almost no flavor and tasted watered down, especially for the price. I expected a quality drink, but it was bland and absolutely not worth what I paid. To make matters worse, we were told to leave the patio an hour before the shop was even closing. If the patio has different hours, that should be clearly communicated instead of asking paying customers to leave early. Overall, this was a frustrating experience. Between the unfriendly service, flavorless coffee, and being asked to leave well before closing, I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other cafés in Pasadena that offer much better coffee and treat their customers with respect.

Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!
