Finally back to try more stuff here. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. This time I got their new truffle tots, blueberry cheesecake, cinnamon raisin bagel, and potato and pizza stuffed bagels to try. The truffle tots just tasted like normal tater tots. The blueberry cheesecake had a crunchy buttery biscoff crust with a super light foamy whipped airy cheesecake. Wasn't getting much blueberry flaves tho. The cinnamon raisin bagel had a nicely crisp exterior, pillowy fluffy full interior, with warm cinnamony flaves and pops of sweetness from the raisins. The potato bagel was filled with smooth mashed potato's that had bits of savory bacon in it and was topped with some cheese. The pizza bagel was stuffed with like this bright tomatoey rich cream cheese and topped with pepperoni and melted cheese. Overall these were lowkey pretty good. Truffle tots $7 Blueberry cheesecake $6.50 Cinnamon raisin bagel $3 Potato bagel $9.50 Pizza bagel $9

Calic offers delicious bagels with a lots of innovative twists. Their calic bagels are stuffed with cream cheese and offered in plenty of flavors from signature garlic to habanero. They also have plain bagels, matcha smears, and breakfast bagel sandwiches with steamed egg. Everything was really tasty and original! The line was out the door on the weekend and probably took 10 minutes to order. There's a parking lot downstairs with the entrance in front of the actual bagel shop. The inside is pretty small and casual. They also offered complimentary black iced tea after you order at the register!

The staff here are so sweet and really helped me decide on what to get. I ended up going with the garlic bagel, and I'm so glad I did. If you're only visiting once, definitely get the garlic bagel since that's what they're known for. They also have a clean bathroom inside, which is always appreciated, and a nice outdoor area to sit and eat. Overall just a really pleasant experience.

Calic Bagel (short for California + Garlic) is a super popular Korean-inspired bagel shop located in Koreatown. The shop was listed in the LA Times' "25 of the Best Bagel Shops in Los Angeles" in 2025. Their bagels are made using a Japanese baking technique called tangzhong (using pre-cooked flour in the mix). [Parking]: The shop is located in a plaza with a free underground parking garage. There were few available spots at 10 AM on Sunday. [Ordering]: There was a waiting line and customers ordered via a kiosk. Once the order was ready, customers picked it up at the counter. [Atmosphere & amenities]: There is a pretty large outdoor patio. Complimentary lemon iced black tea and iced water are available at the pickup counter. There is also a small condiment station with Zab's Datil Pepper Hot Sauce near the entrance. [Menu]: The most popular item to order here is the Signature Calic (one of the options from the Stuffed Bagels category). The menu also has a small garlic symbol indicating store favorites. Other favorites include LA Lox (bagelwiches), Breakfast Becky (bagelwiches), Bacon Scallion CC (schmears), Biscoff Latte (coffee), Maple Cinnamon Latte (coffee), and Banana Matcha Latte (matcha). The shop serves coffee from Groundwork. There is also an early bird $5 special from 7 AM to 10 AM Monday through Friday which includes toast & schmear + hot or cold brew coffee. *** Signature Calic (garlic stuffed bagel. Garlic butter dipped, filled with garlic cream cheese - $9.00): This bagel was overloaded with garlic cream cheese, but it was quite good and I definitely see the appeal. Biscoff Latte (Iced Only - blend of espresso, milk, house cream & topped with biscoff crumbs - 12 oz, whole milk, $7.00): The drink was surprisingly not as sweet as I had expected. While it hit the spot, I do think it could've been slightly milkier. *** While I do think the shop is slightly overhyped, they still serve some really good bagels. 4-star on drinks and 4.5-star on bagels.

I ordered the habanero calic, signature calic, pizza calic, matcha latte and a biscoff latte. Starting with the bagels, I think I am in between the signature calic and the habanero calic as my favorite. The signature calic and the pizza calic both have a bit of a sweet after taste. Can't put my finger on it but it's slightly sweet. The habanero calic did not taste sweet. The cream cheese is amazing. The garlic isn't overpowering. The dough is perfect. Overall satisfied with the bagels and will be reordering. Now for the coffees. The biscoff coffee wasn't as sweet as I thought it was going to be. I definitely prefer sweet coffees but it wasn't extremely bitter, just my preference. Still very good! The matcha latte was flavorful. I ordered ahead since it was my first time going and was glad I did because there was a long line upon arriving. Just a tip. My order was ready upon arriving.

YES!!! Definitely lives up to the hype. I got the signature garlic and habanero garlic to try. The habanero was perfection. If you like spicy it had a kick that lingered giving the bagel an extra punch. The signature garlic had a hint of sweetness paired with the tangy garlic. Both were delicious and perfect for sharing alternating between sweet and spicy. There were so many flavors to choose from I can't wait to come back and try more!

1000% worth the hype! On par with a bagel you'd find in New York, but the execution even exceeds the bar set in the big apple. It was my first time here and I ordered Chevy's Pollowich. The bagel was fresh, had perfect texture, and just the right ratio of chewy to soft/fluffy with a slight crunch. The bacon was cooked perfectly and I'd highly recommend you add it to whatever you order, especially with how generous they were with the portions. The chipotle aioli had a perfect spice and the basil pesto complimented the chicken perfectly. My only complaint would be that the chicken was a bit chewy, possibly a bit overcooked but I'll look past that as everything else nailed the mark. This place is super busy, so I'd recommend ordering ahead to save time. The inside is a bit cramped with a few seats and they have a good amount of seating outside. Parking is...well it's in LA so just pray. Place is a bit pricy, but well worth it and again it's in LA so what isn't pricy here nowadays. Anyways, I'd definitely recommend you check this place out to get your bagel fix!!

My husband's cousin told me about Calico. She brought me here for my birthday. Ok, so I must start by saying I've been trying to get her to try matcha for the past several years and she finally tried it on her own here and loved it. Which is why I said "yes" to checking this place out even though it was a drive for us. We're coming from the southbay of LA. The parking situation is pretty tight, but if you get there at the right time you'll find a spot in their underground parking area. It's an easy walk up to the bagel shop from there. They have ample seating outdoors. The indoor seating is first come first take and it looks like it's usually crowded. So if you come with someone have one of you order and the other snag a table inside for that air conditioned experience especially since it's still 95 degree weather days right now. THE FOOD!! The signature calic garlic bagel was fire THE BREAD WAS SO SOFT, freshly baked out of the oven. The cream cheese had a blend of garlic & parsley. It was out of this world delicious. If you're a foodie or a bagel lover RUN to this place for a genuine foodie experience you won't regret it.

Potato bacon for the win first of all! Sorry had to get that out first. I got here around 11am the line was slightly long not to crazy so we waited you can look around and check out the trinkets while you wait. Then you get to the register and they have tablets to pay and order. I got a classic garlic and then the potato bacon and an iced biscoff cookie I forgot which one it was. I didn't really like it enough to remember the name 3 out of 10 iced latte. But the food was amazing. The size of those bagels were huge!! I really liked the garlic bagel but enjoyed the potato cheese and bacon bagel wow u can taste the flavor in them. Honestly it was great

Got the lox with an everything bagel and loved everything about including the freshness of the salmon. I also got the Calic Experience Box with 2 Signature, 2 Habanero, 1 Pepperoni Pizza, and 1 Bacon Scallion. I tried the Signature and Habanero first, and I really liked the kick from the Habanero. The Signature was also really good and honestly a must-try for first timers and you can't really go wrong with it. The Bacon Scallion was super flavorful too. Everything was really good, but definitely on the heavier side. I'd still come back for sure. They validate parking in the lot, and there's plenty of seating inside even on a weekend, which was nice.

So I have finally checked out this place out for their signature bagel's and it did not disappoint. Calic bagels have been on my list for so long that I'm glad I was able to check it off today. My partner and I tried their Signature (Garlic), pepperoni pizza, and bacon scallion calic bagels. Each one had an its own special flavor of that bagel and each one was delicious. Also my partner had the biscoff latte and I had the Banana match latte. Both were good. The service was good and the place was nice. The ambience was chill. The pizza bagel was my favorite to have, I will be back for that again.

My favorite bagel. (In LA, only because I love that one white fish my bagel in ny) Other than that and completely different, this is my favorite GD bagel joint in LA. Idc what anyone says. Plus, there's parking and good coffee.

I have seen this place on social media and finally got to try this! There's a small parking structure so it was easy to find a spot for a Monday morning. It wasn't crowded and we easily ordered on the kiosk. We got the: Signature Garlic Bagel Bacon Scallion Garlic Bagel Banana Matcha Latte It came out nice and hot and it was satisfying pulling the bread apart. It was delicious and they didn't skimp on the garlic flavor. The matcha was so good and reminds you of the Korean Banana Milk drink. There are several tables inside to sit at as well as water and tea self serve stations. It was delicious and worth the hype!

The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.

We ordered a large spread of bagels, heirloom tomatoes, vegetables, and accompaniments for a pre-wedding "getting ready" brunch with the bride and bridal party. Everything was beautifully packaged and ready for pickup on time, complete with utensils, napkins, and everything we needed to serve and enjoy the meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for our special occasion. We'd definitely order from Laila's again when we're in Santa Monica.

I saw that they now offer Buffalo wings, there were multiple 8 by 11 print-out photos posted inside letting customers know. Since I'm a practicing Trytarian, I need to try (almost) everything at least once, especially in regard to food (except the deadly blowfish delicacy of course, dog, or cannibalism). I have a soft-spot for wings, but discipline myself to eat them only on special occasions or when an intense craving arises. But I gave in to give this new menu item a try. However, while ordering them I was met with an unpleasant surprise. I found it deeply heretical that they only offered ranch and not the standard blue cheese. I know there's a lot of ranch enthusiasts out there, I went to a college with a high-amount of Midwestern representation, and I too would often find myself participating in their "dipping fries in ranch" ritual. However, when it comes to Buffalo wings, my philosophy has always been blue cheese and crispy or GTFO. Nonetheless, I found myself unexpectedly eating (despite no blue cheese) and enjoying these Buffalo wings at Bagel & Slice on a late-Monday afternoon. Props to offering 8-pieces over 6. That felt generous and comfortably iconoclastic. But please get your act together and offer blue cheese in addition to ranch (if you must). Even the guy who ordered wings after me, while I was eating them asked for blue cheese. Locals and nearby Oxy students will certainly appreciate having high-quality Buffalo wings close by. But I cannot and will not endorse these wings until they are served with the option of blue cheese dressing.

So, I drove all the way out to HP to pick up my bag. Let me just say that the trip here was worth the traffic and parking issues I ran into at 8:50pm at night. The box they gave me was filled with a variety of pizza and bagels. For an early 5am breakfast, I had a bagel w/ cream cheese and thought it was delicious! For 2nd breakfast, I had a half a slice of margarita pizza and half a slice of pepperoni and those were also delicious. The pizzas are on the thin side...so, I don't feel too, too guilty lol Anyways, the service was quick. The shop is cute. There's some outdoor seating. I'd come back with friends and our dogs one day!

Maybe if you go more towards the houses you can find residential parking. The area is very nice, posh, and hipster. The bagels are a little bit on the pricier side at an average of $16 or so. I guess it's more like a sandwich with bagels as the bread but bagels are like $3 each at the grocery store. The egg, bacon, and sauces were fantastic. They were so packed with flavor and were warm. My only gripe was they didn't really have many options with no cheese on the menu. I asked for one without cheese and maybe they misheard me but my bagel had melted American cheese on it. It was kind of easy to remove but messy and my hands were super pokey afterwards. Great little sandwich nonetheless. It's moderately filling. Bottom line/TLDR: not many lactose free options but solid bagels.

These were some bottom tier bagels, weird and doughy and I even like doughy foods. Ordered our usual BEC and it came with tomato, and the classic lox (Lox Deluxe). Was basically $30 for two sandwiches and not remotely worth it for the flavor and quality of the bagels themselves. Service was fine, not rude but not friendly either. This would actually be my absolute last choice for bagel sandwiches in LA.
