    Americano

Cafe knotted is a cute little cafe at the outskirts of Arts District. Every time I walk by I've always been intrigued by their cute fluffy donuts. We finally decided to stop by one Friday morning and was greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff. We got their breakfast sandwich, an Americano and a latte to try. The sandwich came out hot and was incredibly tasty. The silky creamy steamed egg, paired really well with the crispy longaniza patty and hash brown. The bun held everything together nicely and I really liked the spicy sauce it came with. The drinks tasted alright but were nothing memorable. I had a nice relaxing time and definitely want to come back to try their donuts and cheesecake the next time my sweet tooth hits.

I stopped by Cafe Knotted to check out their lovely selection of donuts. The café is small, but displays a beautiful array of colorful sweet treats; they're very Instagrammable, as I saw other patrons taking photos/videos of the display. I got three donuts: Biscoff, Dubai chocolate, and roasted sweet corn. Just know that you can order up to four in a box, as I should've chosen another to fill the gap. Also ordered a banana cream top and Knotted cream top and soon enough took them to-go. The donuts were all incredible: soft, light fluffy cream inside, and most importantly, not too sweet! They were all really tasty, 10/10 across the board! The drinks were pretty good, too, with just the right balance of bitter and sweet. Service was nice and efficient, and I'd happily return to Cafe Knotted to try more of their donuts and drinks!

Cute cafe in the arts district! Great place to have some drinks and a little pastry while relaxing a little. It's wonderful they had AC on such a hot day. The staff was friendly as well. Street parking in arts district can be tricky so good luck. The ube latte was okay (no coffee, just ube fyi), the passion tonic was better. The donut was soft but the filling was just okay as well. They have several tables but it's not a huge place. Overall a decent cafe to get a drink if you're in the area.

    1. The cheesecake slice was creamy with a good thick texture! The latte was well-crafted! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is cozy! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! Drink was ready after 5 mins! 4. There are indoor and outdoor seatings! Small number of tables! 5. Street parking, lots, and garages are available! Note: There is a restroom available for customers! Photo: Basque Cheesecake, Strawberry Milk Cream Donut, and Chestnut Tiramisu Latte

Small pastry and coffee shop on the cusp of the Arts District and Little Tokyo. I was passing time and looking for a late afternoon pick me up before having dinner in the area and found this spot. It looked perfect. The space was clean and welcoming and the service was friendly. I ended ordering an ube cream top. So it hit the spot for both a treat and some caffeine. It was delicious - like the description, the foam was very creamy and it provided me with that late afternoon energy I was craving. Very aesthetically pleasing as well. Lots of delicious looking treats / pastries in the store that I would love coming back for and trying in the future. Because it was late afternoon on a weekday, I think that may have been the reason why I was able to find street parking relatively easy in this area.

Cafe Knotted is a beautiful addition to the Arts District, featuring a clean, minimalist interior and an impressive display of freshly baked pastries and signature donuts. Its intimate seating and cozy ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere, complemented by friendly and efficient service throughout our visit. **Blueberry Matcha: 5/5** This drink delivered a refreshing combination of bold matcha and vibrant blueberry flavor. The ceremonial-grade matcha featured earthy, vegetal notes that remained pronounced in every sip, while the housemade blueberry syrup added a bright burst of fruity sweetness that complemented the matcha's pleasant bitterness. A luscious layer of matcha cream created a velvety, indulgent finish while enhancing the drink's matcha profile. Cafe Knotted left an outstanding first impression with its exceptional lattes and meticulous attention to detail. The quality and craftsmanship shone through in every aspect of the experience, making it a café I can't wait to return to.

Found Cafe Knotted on Instagram.. the reel made everything look sooo good so we were excited to try their drinks and pastries. I ordered a strawberry matcha. Ive been craving one so bad, but unfortunately I could barely taste the matcha. The matcha was watered down and possibly overpowered by the strawberry syrup. I like a nice strawberry puree but this tasted like strawberry syrup that goes on funnel cakes. We were also excited to try pastries that we saw on the reel; however, when we got to the cafe, there were flies in the pastry display so it was a hard no for me. Cute ambiance, friendly service, but wasn't too impressed with the matcha or flies.

We got the honey garlic bun, roasted sweet corn pastry, Mexican hot chocolate cookie, hojicha cream top, ube cream top, and knotted cream latte. My favorites were the sweet corn pastry because it was more light compared to the other pastries, and the ube cream top. The knotted cream latte was good, but tastes pretty much like a caramel macchiato. The honey garlic bun was okay, it had too much cream filling for me, I wouldn't get it again. The Mexican hot chocolate cookie was good, it was dense and rich. This is a pretty spacious cafe, and the employee was pretty nice too.

Delicious, not too sweet. We went around 2 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered the Biscoff donut, the roasted corn donut and the butter rice cake. We really enjoyed both donuts but I think we preferred the Biscoff a little more. The rice cake was a little tougher than anticipated but the flavor was good. For drinks we had the chestnut tiramisu latte, the matcha latte and the passion fruit yuzu tonic. We enjoyed all 3 drinks and would recommend all of them. The yuzu tonic was refreshing while the chestnut tiramisu had a nice rich flavor. The space was bright and clean. There were about 4 tables along one side of the room and a small table outside. Bathroom also available for customers with a baby changing table. Everyone was very nice and the service was fairly quick. Meter street parking available as well as paid parking structures. Little Tokyo is also in walking distance.

I came here later in the day in a Sunday (5PM) and they ran out of the knotted donuts earlier in the day. We got the brown butter ddeok and matcha drinks as a little snack & pick me up. The ddeok was so so delicious. The flavor appeals to me so much with my Korean palate. The matcha was actually so good as well. Strong ceremonial grade matcha taste with just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, just much earlier so I can try the donuts before they sell out.

Stumbled by this place by sheer chance one weekday late afternoon. They had a few items available on display like butter mochi madeleines, Korean garlic bread, and white chocolate matcha cookies. Staff is very welcoming and nice. I asked if they could recommend a drink.., One suggested the strawberry latte and another said some ube drink. I ordered both. Sooooo good! Slightly on the sweet side, but that's okay. Now I know for next time. The cookie was my favorite all the things I drank and ate. It was soft and not too sweet or bitter. The butter mochi madeleines were cold and a little hard. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be like that or if I needed them thawed out first. There weren't any seats or tables for me to enjoy my items, but I was able to at a standing-only table. There is one tiny table with two chairs outside, but it was sunny and 90* that day. Parking may be difficult, but I was there for an event so I parked in a lot for the day ($20).

A random little stop in Arts District that turned into the discovery of the most delicious, "not too sweet" donut! I tried the roasted corn donut and it was superb. I'm not the biggest donut fan as I find them excessively sweet but wow, this donut is truly not too sweet and the corn flavor shines through. The cream and the donut itself were also very fluffy and light! It's a dessert that's sure to please your tummy. Unfortunately, the strawberry matcha latte felt like the opposite. The strawberry syrup reminded me of the syrup you get on top of funnel cakes...wayy too sweet and artificial strawberry tasting for my tongue. The matcha itself tasted good when I pulled my straw a bit higher so maybe their lattes without strawberry are better. Jalepeno cheese scone was really good. It may look a bit underwhelming but it's packed with flavor and acts as a nice savory pairing. Service was honestly "whatever", the cashier didn't seem friendly but also not rude either. I think if I'm at a cafe with these prices and a vibrant theme, the service should also be on par and reflect that, but maybe they were having a bad day. Donuts are too good for me to completely shut down the possibility of a future visit based on the first impression lol. It's Arts District, so decent amount of meter street parking + paid lots available.

If I could give this place a 10 star review, I would. Truly it all came down to Sean who really took the time to explain each item we asked about on the menu. He was so sweet and kind, and truly made us want to go back. I tried their chestnut tiramisu latte, along with their strawberry donut, banana pudding donut, and their chocolate chip cookie! They are all worth trying, it was really hard to choose a favorite but their donuts definitely don't miss paired with their signature drink.

We gave it to another one of her coworkers, and she finished it so quick! She said it tasted like a dessert and raved about how delicious and amazing it was! So we decided to come here for coffee or tea and ended up having a really nice time. I used to come here quite often about four years ago. Back then, I really liked their Einspänner and ordered it several times. But the last time I came, I thought it was way too sweet, so I hadn't been back since. It had actually been a REALLY long time since I last visited. And when I used to come here four years ago, I always came in the morning or around lunchtime. Last night was my first time ever coming here at night. My friend told us that they are open until midnight, so that's why we decided to come here after dinner. I had heard that parking here can be a nightmare because there aren't enough parking spaces and people have a hard time finding a spot. But once again, my parking luck was AMAZING! A car pulled out right in front of me just as I arrived, so I was able to park very easily. Another friend arrived later than I did, and she said she couldn't find a parking spot at all. She drove around for quite a while looking for one before finally finding street parking. Last night, we also had some tiramisu, and since I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, I decided to have a caffeine-free ade instead of coffee or tea. It was a little sweet for my taste, but it was ok. We sat outside on the outdoor patio and talked and talked and talked. We had such a fun time together! However, it was actually pretty cold outside last night. I remember thinking that it felt surprisingly chilly. But what was even crazier was how FREEZING cold it was inside the café! They had the air conditioning turned up so high that both my friends and I felt like we were going to freeze to death. The restroom is inside, and I also went inside to get some water, so I mentioned to one of the male employees that it was freezing inside. He told me that they didn't feel cold at all because they were working, and that THEY were actually feeling really hot. I went back to our table and told my friends what he had said, and they were like, "WHAT?! We're freezing to death over here!" The parking lot here is actually pretty large, so I was wondering why it was so difficult to find a parking spot. Apparently, at night, the left side is the café, while on the right side there is a bar where people can drink and also play games. There was a huge line of people waiting outside the bar last night, so I'm guessing that's probably why the parking lot gets so crowded and it's hard to find a spot. It was also pretty chilly outside last night because of the low temperature, so one thing I wished they had on the outdoor patio was heaters. That would have made sitting outside much more comfortable on a cold night.

I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!

It was pretty busy for late afternoon but I took it as a good sign. My sister has been a bunch of times before and really wanted me to try their cream top but I don't drink coffee and they apparently stopped allowing modifications to their drinks so you can no longer add the cream top to the matcha latte. She got the cream top coffee and I got the matcha latte so I could sip the top of hers and drink mine and it was honestly so so good. I have no idea how they make their cream top but it's unlike any other I've tried. The matcha itself was also very smooth and great quality. Both drinks came out to just $13.50 total, which is amazing. Would come again!

I get the Japandi minimalist design aesthetic but a lot of people would love to just sit down and drink their spendy beverage and there's just not enough seats for all the customers. I would suggest adding more benches along the North wall which is an entirely usable space as well as adding another counter along the window with barstools. For this, I have to give the ambiance 2 stars. I'd still come back for the exceptional matcha latte though!

It's a very cute and cozy coffee shop and there was no line when we arrived. The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.

They do not serve cold brew but the Einspanner Black does the charm for me. Their matcha is also good as it is not too sweet nor too bitter. The fan favorite is the Wagyu slider. I personally like the egg salad one more since I am not a meat on meat person but the bacon wagyu slider is better. I would say this place is the better version of Community Goods and does not have as long of a wait. Note - kitchen food is not served until 9:30AM so if you're an early riser or trying to get in and out, you will be out of luck. Parking - the main parking Is the underground structure which could be found on North Broadway. Parking can be quite pricey if you're there longer than an hour.

I got the Einspänner, which was on the sweeter side but still very satisfying. But honestly not by far the best.... The space is super modern and chic, with designer furniture and lighting throughout. Apparently, the pieces are available for purchase upon request, which gives the café more of a curated design-showroom feel. There's casual seating inside that works well for working, plus a nicer dining setup on the outdoor balcony. This place is definitely hidden! Parking is inside the apartment building, followed by two elevator rides up. Luckily, the signage makes it pretty easy to navigate. You get 30 minutes of free validated parking, but there can be a line and drinks come out a little slowly, so the validation time may not always be enough. Overall, a really cool spot if you're looking for good matcha in a unique setting.
