Mike the owner was amazing he made, my moms dress, my mother in laws dress, and custom made my lace dress, 5 flower girls and all 13 bridesmaid birdcage veils. Mike was so accomedating. Anything I asked for with my wedding dress he did to perfection. Kristin gosh what a sweet heart, loved seeing her in the store and such a wonderful radiant personality. Melinda gave me her honest opion and catered to my every need, with a smile always on her face. Anne was the first person I meet, walked in at five, said no worries. I love her she also designed and drew on a piece of scratch paper my moms dress by hand. I wish I could take a picture of my mom after she tried on her dress, she was dancing all around Miosa. My mom said the money was well well worth it. She said she never tried or felt so pretty in all her life. I also ordered all 13 bridesmaid dress there as well. Mike tailored the ones that needed to be tailored asap. Mike knew how important my wedding was to me and he made sure everything was perfect. Mike also made all 5 flower girl dress, wow did they look cute. Look for me in upcoming wedding magazine I have 13 bridemaids and 9 groomsmen, married in carmel, ca. When I came in and told Mike I was getting married in two months he said, "your crazy, but we diffently can do it, we need to order the lace from France soon. And order your bridesmaid dress as well. " He never said he can't,or couldn't or was ever discouraging. But Mike did it, when other wedding stores, said they didnt have enough time to order my size, big breast small waste needs to be specially ordered. This review is NOT of Miosa Brides sales associates and folks working in the Sacramento store. This review is however for the seamstress shop or wherever that is at. I went to Miosa and had the BEST experience in July of 2022. I was getting married in November of 2023 but I wanted to go early enough to have my dress in my possession so I could complete any alterations necessary. This experience was perfect; my family and I cried and had the absolute best time. I loved my dress so much but I wanted to alter it slightly and add "bishop sleeves" instead of having a 3/4 sleeve. When purchasing the dress, they said this was no problem and that I could pick up the dress in Sac in 6-9 months max (April at the latest.) this is where the problems began. April finished and I had no contact from Miosa. I called and texted and they told me my dress wasn't ready yet. May passed and still not ready; I finally got an estimated date of July. That's 12 months from my original appointment. While this was frustrating, I am glad we went early enough to get alterations done in time for our date in November. We go to pick up the dress and I was SO excited to see the sleeves and the dress again. When they brought us back so I could try it on again, they opened the bag and we all just stared at the dress in horror. My mom and sister said nothing and waited for me to respond. The sleeves were a smoke-stained color that were messily put on the dress with applications that looked like they were cut out by a little kid. I didn't even know what to say. The worker (bless her heart) kept saying how "I'll be dreaming of these sleeves all night" in hopes to make me feel better. I still had said nothing. When I put the dress on, the rest of it was perfect, but the sleeves were massive and absolutely hideous; a true eye sore. They were HUGE, did not match the dress, and had applications that were poorly sewn on (already flapping off) and the applications matched the original dress color and not the tan/smoke-stained sleeves. I had assumed (apparently wrongfully) the sleeves would be the same color as a the dress and the same color that they were originally with the 3/4 sleeve, because why would they be a smoke-stained/tan color? We thought this was clear in July of 2022 and it was never communicated to us that it wouldn't match the dress. Now we took it home without saying anything because if it took an entire year to get those train-wreck of sleeves on, how long would it take to remove them and add new ones when my wedding was a few months away? It was such a huge centerpiece of our wedding and I refused to let Miosa touch it anymore. The entire car ride home I cried and was so upset. Thank GOD I have a seamstress friend who came to my rescue. I will be adding pictures to this post of the original, the added with the bad sleeves, and the fixed product. Now this review isn't to say Miosa Bride in Sacramento is a terrible place because the amazing humans working in the store are SO kind, but I highly recommend getting nothing altered or added in their seamstress shop! Everything they added was not cleared through me, took a ridiculous amount of time, and it turned out an absolute mess. The folks working in the main store are lovely and patient and kind. read more

I cannot even begin to describe the disappointment Miosa Bride caused me. Several years ago I came into the shop and saw a custom gown that Michael Sommerfield had made. I saved my money and came in 10 months ago and asked them to make this dress for my wedding. I paid for my dress in full the amount they told me which was $4200. They not only made the dress wrong, they waited until the week before my wedding to make it at all, and then did not have time to fix it. They made a sweetheart top, which is not what I asked for. I simply asked for the dress they made which was on the display. They made me wait until the night before my wedding to get my dress knowing that I had an out of town wedding and had to leave. They never explained to me why they made the wrong dress or why they waited until 3 days before my wedding to make my dress. My maid of honor had to miss the rehearsal dinner and rehearsal so she could pick up my dress (as I had already left for my wedding.)...I guess Miosa didn't care my maid of honor had to miss the rehersal or dinner becuase of their mistake, not to mention the stress it caused me leaving out of town with no wedding dress. It got worse......That's when Miosa called and said if I wanted my dress I would have to pay them $1600 more!!!! THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING!!!! I kept asking why when I had the dress paid off but no one would explain. The owner would not return my calls or give me an explanation... I basically had to pay them $1600 more on a dress that they told me cost $4200 in order for me to have a dress on my wedding day that they messed up to begin with. Then..... I got my dress. Miosa made the top of my dress differently than the sample that they sold me on, and the dress was covered in snags and string. I called Annie the consultant and she said, go ahead and rip out the seams and I will tell you have to re sew the dress.....are you KIDDING ME? They wanted the bride to rip apart her wedding dress on her wedding day to and sew it after I spent $4200 on the dress plus another $1600 that they blackmailed me with. I was crying so hard. I could not believe that my favorite bridal store, my favorite designer Michael Sommerfield would treat me this way, and not even care. I was so hurt, I was so disappointed. No one even said they were sorry. No one called me, no one explained why they charged me more and held my dress hostage, or why they waited until the day of my wedding to charge me the fee, and hold my dress when it had been paid off for months, or why the dress wasn't made right, or why the material was different. I'd like to start by saying Tiki and Jackie are truly the best. I came in as a very discouraged bride who honestly didn't think it was possible to find my dream wedding dress. Before visiting Miosa Bride, I had tried dresses at a few other places, but I left each experience feeling hopeless and disappointed. I genuinely started to think something was wrong with me because none of the dresses made me feel like a bride or excited about my wedding day. The only reason I even went to Miosa Bride was because my mom begged me to keep looking since my wedding is only three months away! Otherwise, I was honestly ready to just buy any white dress and call it a day. From the moment we walked into Miosa Bride, everything changed. Tiki greeted us so warmly and never made us feel bad for not having an appointment. He kindly asked us to wait while he checked in another bride, and I'll admit, I was still skeptical as I looked around the store. When he came back to help schedule us, we asked if we could look at a few dresses first. He was so sweet, positive, and encouraging, and immediately took us back to show us some options. Right away, he understood my style perfectly. His energy was contagious and instantly made me feel more hopeful. When he booked my appointment, I honestly didn't think anyone could top that experience -- but then I met Jackie. Jackie was beyond incredible. She listened carefully, never pressured me, and stayed respectful of my budget the entire time. Most importantly, she created such a safe and comfortable space that I felt completely okay being honest when I didn't like a dress and was ready to move on to the next one. As we kept trying dresses on, something finally started to change -- I actually began to feel like a bride. Then I tried on a dress that gave me that feeling I thought I would never experience. Just when I thought I had found the one, Jackie smiled and said, "Let's try one more." Not to sound dramatic, but Jackie ended up finding the dress I had dreamed about since I was a little girl. To make a long story short, I walked out with not one, but TWO dresses that day -- which was absolutely not the plan at all! I now have one dress for my ceremony and another for my reception, and I could not be happier. Thank you, Tiki. Thank you, Jackie. You expect better customer service from a store where people spend over $3000 for a wedding dress. When we purchased the dress we were quoted one price for the alterations from the owner himself. We even offered to pay for it all upfront and Michael indicated "oh no dont worry about that we take that seperately". At that time I assumed he had a seperate company that does the alterations for them. It was a classic bait and switch. Quoted a really low price on the alteration and then when the alternations were done the price jumped to around $600. You would expect the experts in wedding dresses to know what its going to take to get a dress ready. After all they are the "most knowledgable" in their line of work. I am convinced this is their second profit center. We immediately started the conversation with the staff about the pricing and were told to talk to Kristin ... 3 voice mails and several emails later .... all we heard were crickets. So then we decided who better to talk to about the fitting than the owner himself. 2 voicemails ... 4 emails later we finally get a response and Michael completely ignores that he was the one that quoted us. We even had his card where he wrote the price of the alternations. This wasnt the end of it. We had a 2 pm appointment for a fitting and first the staff didnt even acknowledge us until 15 min past and then they began the fitting at 3 pm without even appologizing for being late. Its a surprise that a business like this can even stay in business. I have never posted a "yelp" rating on anyone and more and more realize if the service and morals of this place are this bad then I should share with others so they know going in what to expect. A happy customer may tell 1 person but a upset customer tells at least 10 people Its dissappointing that a place like this takes advantage of brides / grooms when most brides / grooms all have specific budgets for their weddings. Had we known how this place operates we would have gone elsewhere for my fiances dress. I would not recommend this place to anyone. People say you get what you pay for .... but in this case I guess paying $3000 for a wedding dress is nothing for these people. Maybe the customers that spend $10,000 for their dress get better service from them. read more

Ok so before I start my comments, I have to say that I have never bothered to write a review in my life whether I was very satisfied or very dissatisfied with the service. However, I feel that I NEED to write a review for this place. I am above and beyond pleased with my dress and the services provided. I truly feel that my dress was a masterpiece! I am such a picky person, and for me to say that, is a lot! I think it was immaculate! Michael, the owner (such an awesome person), did not complain for a second when I told him that I don't like how my dress looked like(when I came to my first fitting). The pleats were not in the direction I wanted them, and I thought that I had to get stuck with a dress that I didn't like because they would have had to take the dress apart to redo it. Quite the contrary, his reaction was like: Oh don't worry about that...that's easy to do, we want you to be happy (I know it wasn't easy, but he wanted me to not to worry about it). Now THAT is customer service. I am telling you after looking at pictures of my wedding I am so glad that I got my dress from there. I had soo many compliments about it too! I know a lot of reviewers say that Miosa is expensive, but I think that it is well worth it! The dress you end up with is truly one of a kind and not just a cookie cutter dress. The people at Miosa even helped create my bridesmaid dresses and the flowergirl's. They added shoulder flowers that made the dresses look wonderful, they really looked like designer dresses!...and the person who made those flowers, Irene, is a sweetheart, she was the one who first helped me in my first visit. She is absolutely wonderful! I also read a lot of negative comments about Senae, also the owner, but I really think she is misinterpreted quite a bit! If you actually take the time to talk to her, she is sooo sweet. Anyway, overall I really really recommend this place. I couldn't be happier with my dress, and the bridesmaid dresses. Miosa made my wedding even more special because I knew that everything was unique! read more

The staff at Miosa Couture were AMAZING! My fiancé and I got engaged on a friday on the east coast. I flew in on Sunday and drove 2 hours to visit this shop on Tuesday over my christmas break. Annie helped me and she was FANTASTIC!!!! After we were pretty sure I had found "the one" she did everything possible to help me feel confident about my choice by trying to beat the dress I picked. When it couldn't be beat, I was still a little bit nervous about making the big decision so I had them take down all my information and I told Annie I would call after I slept on it to make sure I was still in love with the dress the next day. I loved the dress and made the final order on Friday. Because my dress was (a certain brand name) it was under the priority program and was in stock. The dress was shipped the next monday (week of christmas) and then arrived at Miosa on FRIDAY! I drove to the shop monday morning and tried on my dress and it fit PERFECTLY! Annie helped me and so did Kristen - they were both fantastic and helped me out so much! I did not need any alterations but I did want to restructure one of the features on the dress and add cups. The seamstress came up and pinned it and then told me because I was living on the east coast and was in town just for the day she could finish it in a few HOURS!!!! My family and I left and explored downtown Sacramento and in about 3 hours Kristen called us and the dress was ready for my second (and FINAL fitting). I tried it on again and it was perfect! Since I live on the east coast (and am getting married on the east coast), the shop is going to ship me the dress when it is closer to my wedding! I also custom designed my vail to be the exact length and style that I wanted. I was soooo pleased with the service of all the staff at Miosa Couture! I HIGHLY recommend every bride to this boutique. I even recommend all my friends on the east coast and tell them all about this shop just incase they find themselves in California before they buy their dress. read more
