She's the sweetest, and highly dedicated worker here - the rest of the staff is just as friendly, but yes I play favorites. This woman was still in here working at 8 months pregnant - LOVE her. Relaxing music & water flowing in the background as I take a break from the chaos of everyday makes the vibe even more so my #1 place to getaway. Just moved to Bakers Beach and I needed to find a closer place to get my eyebrows, mani and pedi done so I started looking around on yelp and found this place. * Lovely staff, very very nice and they actually seem to care about you. * I do not like that the "comfy" chairs don't have bubbles or massage or that the container where I put my feet doesn't have a protective layer. * I think $15 for eyebrows is a little bit too much since I've been paying $10 at most places for the longest time. * Got mani and pedi and it was $48 for both, that's a little bit too much for me. Because I don't get gel or any expensive fancy stuff, just a normal clean up and nail polish. (Mind you I didn't paint my toes, just my hands) so total visit was $78 for eyebrows, mani, pedi and tip for 3 people * I do love the fact that I can venmo them tho, that's super cool and easy when it comes to adding tips when not carrying cash. *I love their laaaaaaaarge nail polish variety. read more

This review is long overdue! I lived along 19th avenue and was searching for (and trying out other) nails salons that would match my other one in the Sunset. Finally, I found Miracle Spa and had my first appointment. I got my usual acrylic fill with gel polish, and regular pedicure. The price was very reasonable (about $75) for the materials and high quality service. After a few appointments, I asked for a half-moon design or to change the shape of my nails altogether, and it was never a problem. I always left satisfied, if not blown away, with the finished product. I get so many compliments on my nails when they are done here. The staff and service is equally amazing! The ladies are all smiling, friendly, and ask just what you want so they can deliver. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best price, product and service - they have it all! I come to Miracle Spa at least 1x/month. I am always so amazed by the quality of service. The staff are kind, welcoming and accommodating. Even if I come in 20 minutes before closing, they will always treat me well! I can only speak to regular manicure-pedicures, but each time, they always last a week or more. I definitely recommend splurging on their massages. Each massage comes with the service and is around 5 mins, but you can add on 10 min increments for about $15 - totally worth it since they are deep tissue! TREAT YO SELF. Whhhhhy did this place change ownership. Before, it was one of the best places for nails in the city - NOW - they're cutting corners with their products and services. No more blue water with the cut up flowers and fruit, no more salt scrub, a 1 minute "massage" with lame lotion, not the previously used heated kind. Not cool - even in a recession. I came to this place for a gel fill since it was close to my apartment. Plus: the finish product looked good initially and the place was very clean with a nice ambience. BIG MINUS: One of my nails was falling off completely but they refused to put on a new tip saying my real nail was long enough to just put a gel layer over. They made it super thin and, as predicted, it started chipping just a few days later. On top of that, she wasn't really paying attention while filing and sliced the skin just under the nail with the edge of the file! $36 for a gel fill that got me a chipped nail and cut finger? ...Next! ... Addendum: as for the user who complained about the attendant being "extremely tacky" by visibly frowning with a $3 tip... that's pretty tacky of you to tip $3 on a $30 service. I was unsatisfied with my service but I still gave at least 15% - I'm just not going to return. If you felt their service was unsatisfactory let them know that's why you're not tipping, otherwise they'll just think you're cheap. read more

This is a review for EYEBROWS ONLY... Do not get your eyebrows waxed here if you have any sensitivity at all. They did a great job with shaping, but I was burned both times I went. I am not sure if it's the kind of wax they use or the temperature. I went twice because I like the ambiance, the mani-pedis are good, and I wanted to give them a second chance. It was bad news. The under part of my eyebow got scabbed over and the scar is still slightly there after 6 months at least. Luckily no one can tell but me, but it was not a pleasant experience. read more

The most thorough manicure I've ever had! I've never had someone pay so much attention to my cuticles before - they were lovingly softened, trimmed and shaped before my manicurist meticulously applied shellac colour to my nails, ensuring the polish was evenly applied to ensure long lasting wear. Writing this 10 days later I'm impressed at how great they still look and haven't had a single chip. It was a rare week and I had a Monday off, and was dying to get a mani/pedi-- but my usual nail place (Aqua) is apparently closed on Mondays. What's even worse, so is my "back up" nail salon (White Ginger). So, I yelped it out-- a quick check and I decided this place would do, since I had to stop at Wal-Greens anyway. I love that this place is really close to my house, closer than my regular spots. I came in pretty early and was the first client, so I got in and out in under an hour. I thought they did a really good job on my nails (my cuticles are in awful shape, so that's generally how I gauge how well a job is done) and Lisa was very friendly. I looooovved my hand and foot massage-- very relaxing, and reasonable for the price. I'm not sure I'll switch over to this place, but it's nice to have a good backup nail place in my neighborhood. read more

Although i continue to go here, I have noticed some changes recently that are disappointing. + clean, quiet, comfy benches, relaxing, good service - what happened to the heated lotion?, what happened to the lemons and flowers in the water?, What happened to the nice scrub? What happened to the long leg and hand massages?? Prices are high for what has now turned into a normal mani pedi. I needed to get a pedicure before I ran in the Nike Women's Marathon (I have heard horror stories of nail/foot tragedies) Miracle Spa is close to my house and i always wanted to check it out so last Saturday morning i set out to give it a try. The spa was clean and didn't have the chemically smell that I was expecting. Lisa did my pedi and it turned out so good. The foot rub was relaxing! I would go back just for that! I decided to do a polish change on my fingers too and i'm glad that I did. Usually my nails chip the next day, I don't know what Lisa did but they have lasted perfectly for days. I came here after a bad experience with acrylic nails. my previous salon dented my nails and so I came here looking for natural looking acrylics. first- the place is well decorated, relaxing and clean.The girls were so helpful and accomadating. They were friendly but not talkative. the last thing I want is people who do my nails and make akward conversation. The salon was also free of those bad chemical smell! two- my nails are beautiful! they are natural and very very well done. I really couldnt be happier. if you are getting acrylics, get them with STEPHANIE. she did a fast clean job with my nails. she cut them at the lenght that i wanted (not too long) and buffed them perfectly. They really listen to what you want and take it up a notch. the price is much higher than most salons but hey, spending $40 for acrylics is much better than waiting months for a dent to grow out! 100% worth it! overall this place is A+. Let me begin this review by saying that I believe in the power of word-of-mouth. That's why I don't go on Yelp & get crazy for every little thing regarding a business because I know that people are strongly influenced by patrons that precede them. I also know that some small businesses are people's livelihood, so I'm not trying to start sh** and take food out of folks' mouths. That's rude. Now that I got that off my chest, I must say the pros of my experience: -after scheduling an appt with another nail spa that doesn't do acrylic, Miracle Spa took me in immediately when I was desperate and alone -their customer service was stellar! I had Cindy and Stephanie and they were both rays of sunshine -let me tell you a little something about Stephanie--that girl can shape a nail! I LOVE the length & shape of the acrylic. For some reason, nail technicians always keep It too long even though I ask for short, square & sporty. Stephanie, with Cindy's help, hooked it all the way up! -Cindy was very kind and was asking if there was a special occasion for the nails and whatnot. I don't mind small talk; it was a pleasant change of pace Sigh...now the cons: -(this is when the angel, Stephanie, left me): Cindy began painting my gellish/shellac nails white (which is exactly what I wanted). After the first coat I could notice uneven patches in the paint job and some paint on the finger, but meh, it was going to go in the wee little oven and bake or whatever voodoo, and I knew she was going to add a second coat so I did not fret... -I should have fret! Because after coat #2, my paint was still looking like Patch Adams! I pointed one of the nails out to Cindy who tried to touch it up, but it was pretty painful to watch her try. It was as if she didn't see what I saw. -then I noticed the paint near the cuticles. Ooh, boy. Just not pretty. It hurt my soul. -I kept speaking up about little spots and Cindy would attempt to fix it but it was of no use. -I thought I could live with it, so they charged me 40$ and I tipped, of course, and then left As I was walking home I just kept looking at my nails who were basically screaming 'help me!' Ladies (and gentlemen)--you know when you just leave the nail salon and your nails, nay, your entire hand looks like you model on QVC? And you can't stop looking at them because they are so pretty and you are so excited to get home & Instagram the mess outta them?! Yeaaa, I didn't have that feeling. I'm giving 2 stars FOR NOW. I'm going to go back this week and inquire politely about what they can do about perhaps touching it up. We shall see how they handle it. Standby. The point of an appointment is to decrease wait time. I don't enjoy the fact that I still have to wait an hour just to get a mani WITH an appointment. New location from when I originally went to this business and for some reason it feels cozier. Still has the same wonderful staff and neighborhood vibe it always had. I like the fact that the seats do NOT have the sinks plumbed in. It seems easier to keep clean and maintain somehow. Overall great price for a nice relaxing soak, leg massage and nicely done pedicure. (I cook too much to justify manicures so cannot comment on that service.) LOVED my experience here! They took me in as soon as I called. The salon has a great aesthetic and is very clean. I loved that their tools came sealed in a sterile package, and that they use new tubs for each pedicure instead of the recycled foot spa that a lot of salons use. Rose was very sweet and polite and did a great job with my pedicure/callus removal. She paid careful attention to my legs during the massage and deftly avoided a bruise on my shin. Then she noticed me rolling my neck and offered to add a shoulder massage while my polish dried! She gave me an amazing massage and worked out many knots in my shoulders and upper back. Total the pedicure, callus removal, and extra massage came out to $60. I left a huge tip because I was so happy. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I have high expectations of a salon. I don't just care about how my nails look, I care about proper sanitation. All tools were properly sterilized and came in sealed packages. They use a pumice stone instead of the cheap plastic that can damage your skin. The chairs have separated plastic tubs which are properly cleaned, the jet/Jacuzzi chairs are proven to carry bacteria. Again, utterly sterile and safe environment. The salon itself is very pleasant and comfortable with a convenient drying station. Huge selection of colors AND exceptional skill for anyone with ingrowns. Gentle and long massage which even includes your shoulders and neck. My new permanent nail salon after going to the same one for 15 years that recently sold. read more

The place is clean with nice staff. They actually listen and do the eyebrow shape that you want. I have had bad experiences at other salons where my eyebrows end up looking like sideways commas. Additionally I had a gel pedicure done, and it was relaxing as well as well executed. I walked in at a busy time, and they fit me in with a short wait. I will definitely be visiting in the future. Just found my new go to neighborhood nail salon! i love getting gel/shellac mani's and this place has many different color options, which is hard to find!! They also carry Essie and Chanel brand nail polish which is a plus! Stephanie who did my nails was awesome! she took her time, even when people kept coming in and made sure i was happy with my nails before starting on a new customer. Most defiantly recommend to anyone living in the inner richmond looking for a new nail salon! In spite of Jennifer P.'s warning, I decided to get a brow wax and it was fine. Shaping was great, no appointment needed. I didn't feel like the wax was any hotter than other places I've been to, but touch wasn't gentle: I had a couple of red bumps from some aggressive post-wax plucking. And no soothing oil stuff afterward! I have no idea if it does anything, but I'd like to think it does. Isn't the whole spa industry built on this ideal? For neighborhood convenience, though, I'd probably go again because the shaping was done well. read more

I got my acrylics full set done here. The lady was new and was still getting taught by the other younger lady . I went with my friend and she started later and finished way before me. Her nails turned out outstanding but mine are too short to my licking and very thick and uneven. Definitely not worst the $65 without tip! I got a crystal design as well which the younger lady did and is very pretty but it feels like a waste because the acrylic job was mediocre. I wanted this place to be my regular but I'm not so sure now. I recommend this place otherwise because my friends came out great and everyone was nice. One cut is ok. But one on almost every finger? After they cut me they doused the two fingers with the most blood with some kind of blue liquid that made my fingers feel like they were going to fall off. My nail beds are a very dark color compared the the rest of my nails, and there are bubbles everywhere. It's been less than a week and my nails look like trash and my cuts still hurt. This tucked away neighborhood spot could not have been a better surprise! I called on a Friday afternoon around 5pm, and was welcomed to walk-in for a last minute appointment. The first thing I noticed about this place was how clean it was! Towels well-organized, tools labled "clean", everything disinfected...aka NAIL SALON HEAVEN. I opted for a gel mani/pedi -- $55 for the combo. (Gel manicure alone is $30 & pedicure alone is $30, so you're essentially getting a $5 discount for the two) My manicurists were amazing and took their time to make sure I received a full service experience. Even though there were other customers waiting, I never once felt like they were rushing through my appointment. Although a little pricey compared to some other places in the area, I think this place is totally worth the few extra bucks. read more

Came here a couple of times for both a wax and a facial. Waxing was ok, could have been a little nice...they were my woman parts. As for the facial, I was long overdue for one so I figured it would be painful...but ouch, it was excruciating. I went again for a second time, thinking...it can't be any worse. This place is my neighborhood Nail Salon. There are a million nail places within 10 blocks, but I always end up here. It's clean, they don't have the creepy massage chairs that punch you in the kidney when you least expect it, and their polish selection is huge and doesn't look crusty. If it weren't for all the stress and workload of nursing school that we've endured these past 3 weeks, I would have been much more horrified when I paid for my pedi at the counter. The lady that did my pedi was Kelly. Lilly, Anh, and Mai did my two friends. They were all really nice, smiley, happy ladies. I was extra ticklish and jittery when Kelly massaged my feet, but she was a real pro about it and understood. They had us sit in these giant recliners with a masseuse built in them. Came here to get my nails and my bridal party's nails done for my wedding. Overall a good experience - clean, efficient, nails didn't chip after a regular mani even 2 weeks later (Stephanie put at least 2 coats of topcoat). Gave them a picture of the ombré glitter with OPI bubble bath and they did an amazing job. Only minor setbacks - we had an appointment at 5pm, my friend ran 10 min late so they gave her chair away when it started getting busier; no big deal since it was our bad, when she got there they started her on her mani instead. Also noticed 2 days after that my cuticles became super sensitive and started coming up - usually a sign that they are going too hard (twss) at the skin during the mani. Next time id ask for Stephanie - I had her towards the end (3 diff girls worked on me) and she was the most gentle. read more

This is my new favorite nail spot. I went to get a pedicure here for the first time last week and I was highly impressed. From the relaxing vibe to the friendly staff, this is a premium experience. I hate to say this, but every bad review on here is right. Just like most people I bought the groupoun deal, which let me tell you is not a deal. It's a basic manicure with cold lotion and this weird milk and avocado mush that does nothing but make your skin sticky. Also they charge an extra $15 dollars on top of the groupoun to get a gel (which at first I thought was understandable) and they also charge and extra $5 just to use the designer colors like Chanel! that blew my mind considering I'm paying $40 for a Mani $15 to upgrade it to a gel and then they want $5 extra for my color choice? That's already $60 not including the $10 tip I left. The worst part of all of it is that 4 of my nails are already so cracked and I got them done yesterday... Can you say ridiculous? After calling the salon back they said to come back in to fix them but unless they fully remove and redo my nails (which I have a feeling they wont do), I don't see what can be done. I'll give one star for the woman who did my toes, she was good & one star because they offered me to come back in, which is the least you can do to get a returning customer. read more
