Their dessert! The falooda/ice cream mix!

The food was authentic Persian food. The lamb/eggplant stew was the best! The service was great and the owner kept checking up on us several times.

Fresh, Wonderful Persian food and service. We come here regularly and it's always been consistent. The owner and his wife are very sweet and polite - they truly enjoy taking care of others. The meats and produce quality are great, the lunch hot & cold buffets have plenty of lean and heavier options and the service is fast and helpful. Highly recommend.

A friend of mine who has been dining at Mirage for almost 20 years brought us there when we tagged along for his birthday celebration recently. We came away understanding completely his loyalty and affection for this place -- friendly, flavorful food, and beautiful presentation all around. A few things to note. Except if you're there on a Saturday evening for dinner and belly dancing, it's not a formal place. Their decor is simple -- where the artfulness and style comes is with the cuisine. Also, we were there on a Wednesday night, so it was very quiet. Weeknights could be a good opportunity to experience their kitchen and service at their most attentive. We started with a hummus appetizer, which was delicious -- rich, creamy texture and served with a drizzle of olive oil, pita wedges, and savory feta cheese. Things just got better with dinner. I ordered their Barg -- a cut of filet mignon seasoned with saffron and grilled, served with their basmati rice. It came at just the temperature I expected and was so good I resisted finishing it so I could have some the next day! But the best dish at the table was the boneless lamb kabob my fiancee ordered. Best flavor, best presentation, best sides -- our server recommended it and it did not disappoint. Finally, the staff surprised the birthday boy with some of the most delicious vanilla bean ice cream any of us have tasted. It was the perfect end to a perfect dining experience. Can't wait to go back!

Mirage is such a hidden gem! I stumbled upon it while visiting Clearwater, and it ended up being the best Persian food I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about everything I ate that day, and I honestly can't wait to go back!

We ordered food today from Miraj Restaurant for a group of around 10-12 people, and everything was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food was excellent, portions were great, and everyone in our group really enjoyed it. The flavors tasted authentic and fresh, and the service was smooth even for a larger order. I highly recommend this restaurant to all Iranians visiting or living in the area!

This was the first time I've ever visited the Mirage Restaurant and I have to say, it was an amazing experience!! Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff that was very hospitable to us!! We were sat at a table immediately. Our server, Ilona, was also extremely friendly, helpful as well with menu selections. The food was served efficiently and was plated beautifully!! Food was hot and had amazing flavor!! The restaurant was very simple which was fine and had an exciting live belly dancing performance!!! I look forward to visiting again soon!!! Excellent work from everyone to make a great experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

Mirage in Clearwater is a true gem. The food here is absolutely amazing. If you're craving Persian food, this is hands down the spot to visit.

I don't usually give 5 star reviews unless it's a very good restaurant. This is one of them. I came here with my family. The waiter is friendly and nice. The restaurant is clean, parking is spacious and there is ground deck which I really like. We chose Buffet option cuz you can choose menu or buffet. The food is delicious and spectacular. The beef ground kebab is tender and chewy. There are various rice dishes and I love it the one with cashews and carrots. The dish I enjoyed the most is some green bean and noodle soup. That's one of the best soup I tried recently. Highly recommend this place.

As distance runners, Mirage is definitely one of our go to places to eat after long runs! We love to load up on the different proteins, rice, and salads. And of course, plenty of baklava! The servers are friendly and the restaurant is pretty spacious and clean. Come hungry! You won't regret checking this place out!

I tried the buffet. Stew and rice were perfect but kabob! Well, I expect more from a koobideh! Aside from this everything was good.

$22 for lunch buffet that contains chicken, ground beef and rice just because you add the name Persian? Too expensive.

How much is the lunch buffet?

Was about 25-27$ each for lunch. Can't remember if we went Saturday ( weekend costs more ) for exact same buffet

    Do they still have?

Was there 1 week ago. Buffet is alive & well. Always delicious. We drive 1 hour to eat here once a month! Love it

Is there a difference in buffet food offerings depending on if you go on a weekend vs weekend? Or between weekend lunch vs dinner?

Same items weekday lunch & weekend lunch. But weekends costs more. Never tried the dinner but heard the only difference is you get a belly dancer for entertainment & prices are higher

Let me start by saying that the food itself is actually good. The flavors are solid and you can tell the recipes are authentic Mediterranean dishes. If this review were based purely on the food, it would probably be decent. Unfortunately, a restaurant experience is not just about what ends up on the plate it's about service, value, and how customers are treated. That's where this place completely falls apart. First off, the service was extremely inattentive. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. The waitresses seemed disinterested, barely checked on the table, and when we tried to ask questions about the menu or request anything simple, the attitude we got back was surprisingly rude and dismissive. It felt like they wanted us to order quickly, eat, and leave without asking for anything outside of the most basic transaction. One thing that really stood out was their refusal to substitute sides. At most restaurants, asking for a simple side swap is a completely normal request. Here, they flat-out refused with zero flexibility or willingness to accommodate. It came off as unnecessarily rigid and frankly pretty unfriendly. When customers are paying premium prices, a little accommodation should not be too much to ask. And speaking of mistakes they forgot my fries entirely. My meal arrived incomplete, and I had to point it out. Even then, it didn't feel like it was taken very seriously. No apology that felt genuine, no urgency to fix it, just a very casual reaction as if forgetting part of a meal was no big deal. When you're charging the prices they do, attention to detail should be the bare minimum. That brings me to the pricing, which honestly feels way too high for what you get. The food is good, but not nearly good enough to justify the price point when the service experience is this poor. There are plenty of Mediterranean restaurants where you can get equally good if not better food while actually being treated like a valued customer. Overall, the biggest takeaway from my visit is that good food alone doesn't make up for bad service. Restaurants succeed when they combine great meals with hospitality and basic respect for their customers. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Between the inattentive staff, the rude attitude toward simple requests, forgotten items like my fries, and the high prices, the experience left a pretty bad impression. I really wanted to like this place, but the service made it hard to justify coming back. There are too many good Mediterranean spots out there to spend money somewhere that treats customers like an afterthought.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. In the spirit of expanding our culinary pallet, we ordered two apps that were new to us. The Kebbeh was very good - i'd say similar to a meat hush puppy? Krispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The Baba Ganju was different than what I was expecting and not something I personally liked (not any fault to the dish, I'm just a texture person). The chicken shawarma and gyro platter (it's a platter at dinner) were FANTASTIC! Seriously, so much flavor, fresh, the meat was not overly cooked. Everything tasted very fresh and we seriously had no complaints!! We also ordered a side of Batata, which are sort of crispy potato cubes with chili flakes + garlic - so good! I will say when we got there, there was a mishap and we waited over 20 minutes to be greeted and introduced to our server after we sat down. Once our server realized we were in her section, the rest of our service was amazing! I think that was just a one off fluke, and I would not let it negatively impact my experience.
