Mirakuru sounds like that one serum from the show "Arrow." Honestly that's what got me to check it out! "Mirakuru (Japanese for "Miracle") is a lethal super-soldier serum in the CW's Arrow series that grants users superhuman strength, durability, and accelerated healing, but drives them insane." Well that explains why they chose it for their boba shop name. ;-D I should become a superhuman anytime now. Their drinks are pretty good. My White Peach Oolong iced tea was yummy. The shop atmosphere is cool - it would make a nice spot to hang out or work in.

This place feels like a trendy little tea shop in the midst of an average looking plaza. The interiors is bright with plenty of neutral colored walls, counters, floors, and tables. The shop is set up counter style with the door with a straight path past the counter into the restrooms. The have wifi which is voucher based and good for four hours. Whilst I was there they were having a promo buy one get one on their harumi matcha latte. I indulged, purchasing a strawberry and mango under the offer. The matcha is slightly bitter and slightly sweet. The cream(?) liquid they use helps with the silkiness of the beverage which is generally smooth in the first place (likely sifting any chunks of matcha). The fruit base isn't overpowering and helps compliment the sweetness with a hit of fruit flavor rather than obscuring it (out of the two, I prefer strawberry). All in all, a delicious fruit matcha latte and bodes well for their milk tea drinks which I was originally there for. Hope to come by again sometime!

Used to come here regularly when I worked close by, but never got to writing a review- so here it is! I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but I loved their coconut coffee! I think their coffee in general is decent and pretty strong (if you get the Vietnamese coffee variants). Their matcha is also pretty good too! It's a bit on the pricier side and portions can be a lot smaller depending on which matcha drink you get, but I think it's pretty solid. As for their milk teas, I think it sometimes comes off as a bit.... watery? The tea flavor isn't quite there. If you get a fruit tea or regular tea, however, the tea flavor is good. There are moments though, where they can come off a bit watery/lackluster as well. The shop is small, but it's nice and clean. There's a decent amount of seating for the size of the shop. Workers are always very friendly!

This is a month old review. It has been on my list to try this place as I heard good things about their matcha. The place feel cozy and modern with simple plant decor and enough seating for casual conversation. The drink was delicious so why 4 stars? They are a little small compare to the price and their milk tea is a little lacking in tea flavor. Overall, I would come back for the matcha drink

I haven't been to many coffee/matcha spots in Garden Grove, but am so glad to have found this place. It's definitely the best I've had in the area, and I'm so glad it's not too far from me. Mirakuru is in the plaza off Harbor with plenty of parking nearby. They have a bunch of indoor seating as well. The whole shop is very bright and modern. The staff was friendly and took the time to give recommendations and also accommodated any adjustments too. I really appreciated that everything was made fresh, including hand-whisking the matcha. I tried the Matcha Einspanner and the Strawberry Milk Coffee and both were delicious. You could taste how fresh all the ingredients were (from the cream to strawberry puree) in both drinks. The matcha was also really fresh and nutty, and the coffee worked great with the strawberry. I absolutely plan to come back here more often, and definitely recommend checking it out!

The matcha here really woke me up in the best way possible! Mirakuru is a great choice for a morning pick-me-up. I came here on a Sunday morning around opening time. The store itself is located in a plaza with ample parking, and the cafe has plenty of seating for your studying/work-from-home needs. It has a bright and cute Japanese-inspired interior that makes it feel very welcoming. My friend recommended coming here since they offer three different levels of matcha to choose from. (They do cost different amounts depending on which one you choose.) The drinks also come with a default matcha variant, but you can customize it. The service was quick, and we got our drinks in no time. The menu had your classic combinations with mango, kiraku, and more, but what interested me the most was their sweet corn matcha. Surprisingly, I really liked it! The corn was not too overpowering and was lightly sweetened by its natural sugars. I paired this drink with their most premium matcha, and even though matcha usually does not wake me up as much as coffee does, this was a great contender. My partner got a mango matcha, and when I tried it, I thought it was a bit too sweet, but for him, it was perfect. Overall, pretty good! A great choice if you're in Garden Grove and need a matcha kick.

If you're looking for a matcha-centric cafe, definitely check out Mirakuru! They use ceremonial grade matcha in their drinks and have a good variety to choose from! I like that they offer both simpler matcha drinks, as well as unique ones like Sweet Corn Matcha Latte and Matcha Jasmine Latte. Of course you can't go wrong with their Mirakuru Signature Matcha, but I'm a big fan of the Matcha Jasmine Latte! The flavors pair so well together creating the perfect blend. They also have a good Matcha Einspanner that you can get with different types of foam like sweet, sea salt, ube, banana, and cookies and cream cheese foam. They also have other non-matcha drinks like coffee, fruit teas, pure teas, and milk drinks or what they call "Handcrafted Miracles." We tried their Green Thai Pandan Coco Milk which had a nice pandan flavor. I enjoy the clean, simple aesthetic of the cafe. There are a decent amount of tables to sit and enjoy your drink. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot.

Happy Matcha Day! What's a better way to celebrate than to swing by today? If you ever see Saemidori on the menu, don't skip it! It has a sweet, umami-rich flavor, plus a fresh, nutty aroma and a beautiful vibrant green color. Easily one of the tastiest matchas I've had. I love how their menu emphasizes first/spring harvest matcha, so you know you're getting the best quality cultivar! My go-to order is the Sweet Corn Matcha Latte (even better with Saemidori if available.) It's not too sweet and well balanced. I do wish the cup size was a bit bigger, but it also feels like they're really focusing on quality over quantity here. Small detail I loved: they included a cute little guide on how to make the perfect matcha when I bought a tin of Saemidori matcha powder. It's those thoughtful touches that stick! The space itself is just as good as the drinks - bright, airy, fragrant, and filled with greenery. There's plenty of seating and a calm vibe that's great for relaxing or getting some work done. The staff are friendly and drinks come out at a good pace. This cafe is worth checking out if you're a matcha fan or just looking for a tranquil café to unwind!

Honestly love this place for the aesthetics and the quality of the drink. They have plenty of options which can seem overwhelming but it just takes some time to review and understand what you want. I will say the wait time was surprisingly kind of long, I was in a bit of a time constraint and was thinking the drink I chose was relatively simple to make and produce but it was around 15 minutes of waiting due to them needing to catch up with the other orders ahead of me. I don't want to fault them for that though because the drink itself was very good. I had the coco matcha drink I honestly forgot the name, like I said they have a lot of drink options so it's easy to forget the specific names. Also tried the coconut silk jelly and it was SO GOOOOOD like I wasn't sure what to expect but it was the perfect level of sweetness and refreshing at the same time. Parking in this plaza kind of sucks but I'm sure you can find a spot somewhere within a reasonable distance. Didn't give 5 stars because I have tried calling them since yesterday to try to ask about the ingredients used in the drink I got but it keeps going to voicemail.

New favorite boba shop and study area!! I'm surprised I haven't seen this place before! It's located in the plaza of Daiso, behind the Great Wolf Lodge. Lots of parking spaces but it's small, so drive safely. Upon walking in, you hear the jingle of the bell hanging near the door. You see plans towards your right and a pleasant citrus smell engulfs the whole shop. It's minimalistic, pure white, and clean. They have an array of teas for you to smell before your purchase. They also have homemade coconut jellies to go with your drink. Their menu is big and placed next to the cash register. The two girls working were a huge help to us and were able to let us know what teas pair well with certain drink styles. Dependent on your drink and tea pairing, the teas are brewed hot and right in front of you with a machine. We decided to try their Korean strawberry milk with banana top and their kirimi tea. I also ordered their mango coconut jelly to try. To our surprise, the drinks came out quickly. You can taste the fresh tea in every sit. The boba was perfectly sweet and not too overpowering to the drink itself. The strawberry milk tasted exactly like what you'd expect, but even better. The coconut jelly had pure mango on it. They even had cute cup sleeves! There are numerous tables and outlets if you decide to do work here. They offer a WiFi code per drink, good for four hours of work for only one device. If you want to stay there and access the WiFi longer or use multiple devices, you'd have to purchase another beverage. It was quiet the whole time we were working there and the place had a steady flow of customers. We felt at ease and comfortable. We got a lot of work done today and were extremely satisfied with the quality of the shop. Can't wait to be back!

I ordered three drinks and realized I had forgotten to add boba. I politely asked if it would be possible to add boba afterward and pay for the extra, or purchase it on the side so I could add it myself. I was told that this was not possible. While I understand there may be store policies in place, I was disappointed that there was no flexibility or alternative offered to help accommodate a simple request. read more

I've tried some of their coffees and I think they're all decent, but I feel like it's nothing very special. Their cloud coffee is my go-to here. I do come often because it's very close by to my place, but I've tried better Vietnamese coffee shops in the OC. But one thing I can say is that the customer service here has always been great! I received a tip about Mirakuru being on the same level as Red Straw... they were not kidding. Come here, it's worth the drive. Drinks Ordered: White Peach Oolong and Mirakuru Sunrise If you like your tea to be freshly made, and not just tea mixed with a sugar syrup, then Mirarkuru is the spot for you. All the teas are made to order using their machines, think like ordering an espresso and then the barista using the machine to brew your coffee. The is light and flavorful, which creates a very pleasant Boba experience. Notes: Tea spots like Red Straw in Irvine and Chicha San Chen in Rowland Heights are known for their tea quality and brewing, Mirakuru for sure fits in there with them on my list of top Boba spots. read more

Got the Kirumi brown drink with foam. The foam isn't your typical salty foam, it has less flavor but is nicely beated. I got half sweetness and thought the drink was good. It's not something I would crave and go back for though. It's supposed to be heavier on the tea flavor, but it's not as rich as Orobae. Ambiance is really nice, nicely lit and renovated. read more

Aesthetics and branding they have down. Flavor was missing with the drink I got. Maybe I ordered the wrong one but if I can't order a drink I usually get, this might not be the place for me. I'm an avid tea drinker... milk tea that is. Although I order milk tea often, my preference is one in which I can truly taste the flavor of the tea. I ordered the Roasted Oolong tea from their "Kurimi" section. It's just tea topped with their sweet cream top. I took the first sip of just the cream and it honestly just tasted like whipped cream. The cream is very light as opposed to being rich and creamy as you might find at other boba shops. The tea itself was light but missing the characteristics I look for in a roasted oolong tea. It just tasted like a general sweet tea but could barely taste the oolong flavor profile. The drink took a bit of time as they were pretty busy. Their AC was not working so they had several fans blasting throughout the store. Overall, I didn't find the drink to be anything special and not what I'm looking for. While the aesthetic of the store was bright and their packaging was cute, it didn't make up for a drink that I wouldn't come back for. read more

Mirakuru is new and delicious! Got Strawberry Matcha Milk, Kurimi Mirakuru and Strawberry Black Tea. I didn't adjust the sweetness level and all of them were perfect. Let me tell you, their drinks are really good. I don't say this lightly because there are only a handful of drink shops that I love. Kurimi Mirakuru is my favorite. All the drinks I tried had good flavor. I don't like when shops don't have a strong tea flavor but I can taste the tea here. The tea could definitely be a bit stronger but that is just my preference. Because of this, I'll give them four stars. They are located in a big shopping plaza with a lot of free parking, no issues there. They just opened a few days ago and today is actually their grand opening. Service is friendly, cashier was really helpful in helping me decide what to get. The inside is very cute, casual with a modern feel. I think the price here is fair, drinks are decently sized for the price. There was no wait to order when I came for their soft opening. I've been to this place at least 5 times since it opened.. They are unique for their kurimi (creamy) series and their peach jelly topping(must get). The kurimi almost tastes like sbux sweet cream cold foam with pairs wonderfully with their fresh teas. Each cup is made to order and you can smell the tea wafting in the air as you walk in. There's a solid variety to order from. You can take a waft of their selection of tea leaves. Their fruit tea is also so refreshing. Their coconut pudding is wonderful. Their viet coffee is delicious yet strongest I've had as well. **I would recommend ordering 75 percent as some their drinks do come a little sweet. read more

Here's a good little hole-in-the-wall with a large variety of drinks including coffee and various teas. It's not your typical morning coffee joint but more like a boba shop. I went as soon as they opened up so I was the first customer of the day. I was greeted right away and after asking for some recommendations, I knew what I wanted. Here's what I ordered: **Mirakuru Cloud Coffee with Melon Foam: Not a fan of their Vietnamese coffee, as it tasted like what you would get from those bottled Lee's Coffee drinks. It was way to thick and creamy for my taste. One good thing about this drink was the melon foam. Definitely something I haven't seen at other places but that was freaking delicious! (3/5) **Fuji Apple Oolong Tea: This was a recommendation from the girl working and it did not disappoint. Fuji apple is definitely an interesting flavor for a tea and I was with it. The oolong tea base was perfect. The addition of sweet fuji apple slices and tea jelly were a great add-on as well! (5/5) I would definitely come back to try more of their tea menu because it was very delicious and refreshing! The balance of tea to fruit flavor was spot on as well. Went in here for the first time after looking for a place to study for finals. I must say the place is clean, quiet, and cozy to focus. Another boba/tea shop in the GG area! This spot is located in the same plaza where Rite Aid and Lee's Sandwiches are. There's a good amount of parking spots so that's not an issue! They have a wide variety of teas and coffees to choose from. They even have the tea leaves up at the front counter and you can smell of them! All of the drinks we got were super refreshing! Overall, this is a great place to come get some work done or grab a quick drink. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the ambiance of the shop and feel it is a great addition to the neighborhood. read more

This matcha spot is a total gem! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh matcha hits you, and you know you're in for a treat. Their drinks are top quality, but the real standout is the mango matcha -- absolutely incredible. It's the perfect balance of earthy and sweet: the richness of the matcha pairs so beautifully with the bright, tropical mango flavor. Refreshing, smooth, and not too sugary -- it's seriously addictive. I could drink one every day and not get tired of it. Everything else I've tried here has been great too, but if you're going to try just one thing, make it the mango matcha. Easily one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had. read more

My long and all time favorite tea place! We've been coming here since Mirakuru opened and are happy to see how the business has grown. Their drink menu has expanded in options, but consistency and quality has remained the same. My husband is very picky but often craves the White Peach or Lychee Oolong. Located in a large shopping plaza off Harbor & GG. Service is always fast and the girls are kind. Cute and clean aesthetics with tables to sit and chat or study. Currently their decorations are paper cranes, but here are old photos from lunar new year back in February. You can tell they put a lot of effort and heart into decorating! read more

I love the tea here! It's incredibly fresh, lots of options. I got the Kurimi Brown Rice and Gyokuro tea- REFRESHING, bright, a little toasty from that brown rice, and a great cream. My friend got the White Peach and Oolong - also fresh and nothing artificial at all. I'm always on a hunt for new tea shops, and this one is definitely top tier. They have limited seating, but if you can get a table, it's a cute spot to study or work at! read more

This is one of my favorite boba spots in OC. Their teas are fragrant and high quality. I especially love their White Peach Oolong Tea because the peach doesn't taste artificial. I typically get 75-100% for sweetness but I prefer 100% here because it's not too sweet in my opinion. I also love that they offer tea jellies here as a topping. Both the peach black tea jelly and jasmine tea jelly are good. I also like their Kurimi Brown Rice Tea. It's light but I still enjoyed it. They have several tables and play soft elevator music so I usually see people working/studying here. read more

I was craving a late night treat with my cousin and after searching on Yelp for coffee shops or teas around the area we stumbled upon Mirakura. I was not aware how close we were to it and how little I had heard about it, so we knew it was the perfect place to check out. The shop is located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking in front, next, or around the shop. Upon entering there is a good amount of seating and the place is very warm and welcoming. The interior design is beautiful and very much a nice spot to come and do work or catch up with a friend (which is what many of those there were doing). The staff was very nice and friendly and made the experience great. We ordered two teas and waited for our drinks to come out. I got their white peach oolong tea with honey boba and my cousin got their watermelon tea drink. The tea was perfectly sweet and the boba was a nice touch to add. I was really happy with my drink and so was my cousin. The watermelon tea was sweet and refreshing and had a great flavor profile that I haven't tried anywhere else. This place is fairly new so wanted to check it out! The shop itself is very bright and has a minimalist vibe, great for studying. My friends and I tried Kurimi Jasmine, Kurimi Mirakuru, Mango Coco Milk, and Kurimi Mirakuru w/Honey Boba. All the drinks were good and had a strong tea flavor. Mango coco milk was so good. Chunks of mango and coconut milk hits just right. Drinks came out fast, and the staff are super friendly. Tons of parking, but there's not a lot of seating inside. The strawberry milk with banana foam is a dream! I am able to adjust sweetness level. I wish they carried almond milk but regular milk is okay too. This is a very cute, clean cafe! The service was very helpful explaining the different tea options they had, and we got to smell all the loose leaf teas before ordering. I had the Kurimi Mirakuru 50% sweet. The cold foam was good, but I would probably up the sugar level next time. The tea was not too strong but the whole drink definitely felt lighter than most milk teas at other boba shops. I also didn't get boba, so I might try that in the future. read more

This place is very cutely decorated and quiet, it would be a good place to sit down and study since there are plenty of outlets. We got the Jasmine oolong milk tea and oolong roasted milk tea, our drinks didn't come overly sweetened like other places so getting regular sweetness or 75% would be good. The flavors were there; however, they felt a bit watered down. Mirakuru is a great spot if you're looking for drinks at a location open later at night! We got the Mango Milk with boba, Mirakuru Coffee with egg foam, and a Korean Strawberry Milk with Ube foam. The Mango Milk was probably my least favorite, especially compared to the Korean Strawberry Milk. It had a way stronger milky taste and the boba was on the chewier side. In comparison to the strawberry milk, I liked it a lot better. I thought there was a perfect blend, not too milky, not too much strawberry, and the ube foam added a perfect touch and complimented the drink very well. The Mirakuru coffee runs more on the bitter side. However, mix in the egg foam and the coffee sweetens up a little bit. Service was pretty welcoming! We did come around 45 minutes before closing and a rush so I appreciate that they were still patient and friendly with us as we chose drinks. read more

Tried this place on a whim since I was craving boba and it did not disappoint. Got the gyokuro and brown rice milk tea with the peach tea jelly. The tea was more on the roasted flavor side which I liked but also light as well. Loved the peach tea jelly that I got with it. They recommended 75/100 sweetness and I got 50 but next time I might try 75(and I usually am a 30% girlie). Love that the size is large and the ambience is more on the quiet side with calm music so it's perfect for studying. Service is solid and I will be back if I'm in the area! read more

Warning, they do my do toppings on request. Toppings are only an option on TEA drinks. Tried to get boba with a strawberry milk for my kid and was told they "can't do toppings in it, toppings are only an option for items on the left menu." So I ordered 1 tea item and they were out of boba! 4:30 pm on a Saturday, really???? Tea was good, but not great enough for 5 stars. My egg coffee was worth it. Like a lot of the recent reviews already mentioned the tea was really watered down and lacked tea flavor! I was so disappointed. I was excited to see they had teaspresso machines (just like chị cha!) but they didn't use it. Looks like the machines are just for show because I didn't see them use it at all on our visit lol. It was also odd that you couldn't add toppings on some drinks or change out the dairy options when they do have milk subs available. There's plenty of table seating around and it was a chill place to hang w your friends. Maybe they're still new, but I prefer a stronger tea flavor for my drinks. FOOD Overall, I thought the boba here was pretty good! It had major sunright vibes, and I would totally come here again. 1. Kurimi mirakura - it is their version of a house milk tea. It was good but not super memorable. But the boba had a good texture! More on the chewy side! 2. Matcha cloud coffee - it is coffee with a matcha cream on top. It is not as good as da viens, but it was still delicious, and I would order it again if I was in the area. 3. Lychee oolong tea - THIS was the stand-out order. So freaking good and refreshing. It made me regret not ordering a whole lychee drink for myself. SERVICE Fast and efficient. Not particularly friendly or warm, but did their job well. AMBIANCE The vibes of this place were nice. Very clean, modern, and with super cute blind box decorations. Their Coconut Coffee is one of their blended creation that uses Phin Smith's signature District 1 Blend which has a dark, bold, and intense coffee flavor with nutty undertones. The drink has a rich coconut crema which makes it silky and smooth flavour. Since it's a blend, the coconut pairs well with the strong bold coffee flavor. It's a bit sweeter which is what I like. It makes for a refreshing drink on those hot summer days. Service moves along well. You order your drink and once you've received your drink, you pay at the cash and then you can head out with beverage. I love how content all the staff are and there's many of them to make sure you get your drink in a timely manner. It's a must visit if you're in garden grove and craving for Vietnamese coffee. I also highly recommend the Phin Freeze and the Javacado!

Here - the bigger issue is the customer service. This business seriously needs to reconsider how they hire and train their front staff. Customers come in expecting a pleasant experience. We are literally paying for your product and supporting your business, so why make customers feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or disrespected? The attitude from some staff members comes across as cold, dismissive, and almost condescending. And trust me -- customers absolutely notice it. People can feel energy and attitude immediately. No one wants to keep coming back to a place where the most basic parts of hospitality -- being warm, polite, and helpful -- are missing. If a customer is visiting for the first time, of course they're going to ask questions or need recommendations. That's normal. Learn how to explain your menu with patience and professionalism instead of acting annoyed. Another major problem is the lack of flexibility in making drinks that actually suit customer preferences. There seems to be zero willingness to adjust or accommodate. If you can't adapt to what customers enjoy, how do you expect people to happily spend money here? I'm writing this because this place clearly has potential, but the current quality and service are disappointing enough that people will eventually stop coming back. read more

Speaking of the drinks, Mirakuru truly impressed me with their unique and flavorsome creations. We ordered Egg Coffee, Mango Green Tea with crystal boba, Kurimi Oolong Tea, and Sea Salt Coffee. Just had my first taste at this new boba spot, and it was well worth the wait! I was bummed to miss the grand opening due to prior appointment , but my friends couldn't stop talking about their delicious teas. Finally got a chance to swing by today, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight. The cream foam on top was a thick, delightful surprise that added a burst of flavor with every sip. The favor of the tea was so satisfying , and you could instantly tell they were using high-quality leaves. The taste? Spectacular! This is one of the rare places that put love into their drinks. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the floral scent, probably their Jasmine Tea maybe? I love it. The tea is brewed by order, so it is 100% fresh tea. Their matcha is the best in the area, they serve 2 types of Matcha, both ceremonial grade and you can pick the one you prefer. I got the Apple Oolong and Matcha Latte (I picked Saemidori matcha) to share with my hubby and the drinks taste fantastic. This is a hidden gem in OC. Recently found out this spot and I'm in love. Nice and cute minimal shop. Their matcha is 10/10. Tried their Signature Matcha, it's matcha latte with matcha foam and the crumbs on top. Not a fan of the crumbs but it does add a bit unique flavor to the drinks, more like cereal texture. My friend also got the Sweet Corn Matcha Latte and she said it was perfect. Staffs are friendly, willing to answer all the questions. Will come back to try their tea next time since they use the Teapresso machines here, just like Chicha. read more

I discovered this place on Instagram and decided to check it out with a friend for their Green Thai tea promo - definitely worth the drive! I had the Pandan Green Thai tea, which came with Pandan jelly and the classic green Thai tea. I went with the regular sweetness, and it was spot on for my sweet tooth. 1 star. Very poor customer service. I asked if the matcha foam could be adjusted, but both the staff and the owner immediately said no without even trying to help or offer alternatives. As a first-time customer, I also didn't know which type of matcha to choose, and instead of explaining the options or recommending something, they just stared at me awkwardly. Nice minimal decor. Their teas are so delightful It's hard to pick one out of their menu. But if I have to, I will pick White Peach Oolong as my most favorite. The drink is so refreshing, not to mention the complimentary Peach Jelly that comes with it. Service is fast, cashier is nice. I know that I have to wait because they brew every cup of tea by order, but I got my 2 drinks in about 5 mins. That's good. Overall a must-try spot. read more
