Dear bamboo and bean, The food was not great and felt like bad cheap garlic noodles. The drinks are with whipped cream and huge but underwhelming for taste. Especially the matcha, seems sad to have low quality and whipped cream mix together. Sad mornings are not fun. Also they charge at night way after leaving. I drive by this place on my way home everyday. I figured id give it a try. I was hesitant at first since theres so many of the same coffee shops around. I got the matcha coffee and the lychee tea. We also got the bulgogi ribeye sandwich and chicken katsu pasta. The bulgogi sandwich was delish but I think its too small for the price. The pasta itself was great but I was disappointed that the katsu was so bland. I tried to soak it in the pasta sauce and still bland. The lychee tea needed more lychee flavor but it was refreshing. The matcha coffee, less sweet and normal ice has to be one of the best Vietnamese type coffee that I've had. It had just enough sweetness without over powering the coffee flavor. Came for the first time to try out their coffee drinks and it didn't disappoint. Their price point was reasonable (not bougie prices) and our drinks was worth it. Restaurant is clean and modern with decent amount of seating. It's located in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Ordering is done on a kiosk. The Matcha BOGO (see photo) was so tempting but hubby doesn't drink matcha so it's a hard pass. Both our coffee drinks were so yummy. They were both creamy and strong. I was excited to try this place from social media reels, but unfortunately my experience was so-so. I decided to try their new blueberry oat matcha, but it was too thick and too sweet for me. I tried their viral matcha cream-filled croissant which sounds like a good idea, but the moment you bite into it, the cream spills out from the top of the croissant. It's very messy to eat but tastes good. I also shared a chicken salad and chicken garlic noodles with my husband, and we loved them. Both were filling and the chicken was delicious. Somehow we overspent and our total was about $60 (he also had their truffle fries and a drink). It was awkward inside because the music kept getting cut off, so customers were just waiting for their orders or already sitting and eating in awkward silence in a small space. All the food and drinks have been consistently good! I loved their Bulgolgi banh mi, the chicken banh mi, chicken salad, garlic noodles, fries, and popcorn chicken!! My go to is either the Banana Matcha or the Lychee Jasmin (lite sweet). If you're someone who doesn't like super sweet fruit tea, then lite is the way to go. They had BOGO salted matcha or salted coffee so big reason I wanted to give it a try. Small quaint place with salad bowls, noodle bowls, drinks, croissants, and banh mi. Everything was decently portioned. The fries were thin and not battered (the truffle was light and the mayo based dip was bomb!) my friend said the bulgogi sandwich was really good. The matcha was ok - i asked for mine half sweetened because usually places are too sweet but surprisingly my half sweetened was pretty bland. Next time I'll for regularly sweetened! My only complaint was that The store ran out of sauce for the sandwich but didn't tell me. It took an extra 15-20 or so for my to go order. They compensated and apologized with croissants (really tasty actually!... i only had the a bit of the filling but friends said it was super good!). Omg YUM!! Was over at my sister's place and wanted to check out a new coffee shop for our Sunday shenanigans. Found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out. It's located in a strip mall next to a pet shop (which I love). There was lots of parking available. When you enter, the space is bright and airy. Cool coffee shop vibes. We were greeted by the sweetest server. He was so friendly and helpful with their menu. We planned on doing coffee only but their food selection looked amazing so we had to try it out. We got a pistachio latte, an ube latte and an ube matcha latte!! Yum yum yum! It you like Vietnamese coffee as a base, this place is it! Rich, creamy, strong and delicious! We decided to try the pork belly banh mi. Whoa! It was so good!! The pork had a nice sauce but was still perfectly crisp. The bread was crusty and soft. The only thing I would have wanted was more veggies in the sandwich but overall, one of the best banh mis I've had. I look forward to coming back here and trying more of their drink and menu items! They offer croissants stuffed with different flavored creams such as banana, strawberry, matcha , ube and Nutella. Only downside is they're not super friendly. Zero interactions or welcoming vibes. I absolutely loved this place and will be definitely coming back. I had ordered their banana matcha latte, and the one thing that is bothersome about trying new coffee shops for matcha is that drinks are about $6-8 for your standard small cup. However, I feel like you get your money's worth, and the drink is good too. It's open till relatively late and serves food, which I haven't had the chance to try yet. The staff were so nice. The employee had given me extra banana foam on top, which I had really appreciated. There's outlets to get work done too! There aren't any milk alternatives here - so keep that in mind. Friend ordered the Sea Salt Matcha Latte. There's a BOGO promo right now (I think for the month of December? So it might be out by the time you stop by since it's NYE today) - buy first drink, get second for only $1. Drinks came out pretty quickly. Not sure why my label said "Full sweet" - but the taste wasn't bad at all - it definitely was nowhere as sweet as I've had the similar drink at say, Blkdot Coffee. The coffee here was strong and creamy - very much like you'd find in concentrated Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The matcha was rich and flavorful - the barista shared that they use ceremonial-grade matcha here. Friend enjoyed his Sea Salt Matcha Latte as well. There's a few small bites on the menu - I didn't opt for anything since we had just finished lunch. The noodle dishes looked good, so I'll probably check those out at a future visit. As a local who used to go to the water land store every 2 weeks with my mom when I was younger, I was pleasantly shocked to see a trendy Viet cafe open up in my area!! This little cafe is a hole in the wall, and it has all the best snacks one could want to snack on while drinking a matcha or coffee while working or studying! Order on a kiosk iPad , lots of seats available and free WiFi. Next to the pet store so you can hear the sounds of birds but it was relaxing like you're in a rainforest! I will say I wish the coffee taste was stronger. Mango and yuzu 10/10 I never thought these two would be a good flavor to combine!!! Idk I got it cuz it was unique to me. It's just located in one of those strip malls where you would not expect to find a place like this. They have a couple combos to try out where they pair a drink and either a croissant or sandwich together. Got introduced to the Matcha Eispanner from the owner here couple weeks ago & I couldn't stop coming back for the exact same drink every 3-4 days. It's very creamy, very tasty and very pleasant to your nose They're having promotion BOGO $1, keep in mind that upgrade to oat milk cost extra $1 (would be nice if this info is displayed on their wall menu) The 5 stars are for 1 of the best matcha drinks and owner's friendly attitude. I ordered on a kiosk and it was my first time ordering the BOGO deal so I didn't know you needed to add the drink twice cause I just clicked something called BOGO haha and the employee was so sweet. She came out to ask me if I wanted one cup or two for the BOGO so I would say the service here is really good! For the drinks, god damn if anyone hasn't taken up on this deal yet you're missing OUT! What a steal, these cups are as big as the Tastea large ones and they pack it to the brim here. I can't recall if this is soft opening still ? I believe this is the only boba/coffee shop in this area hahaha. It's quite out of the way but I was curious after seeing the posts on Vietnamese FB groups. The first time, I ordered the ube croissant + Nutella matcha combo and an Ube latte. My 87 yo dad ate the croissant on his own -said it was tasty. He also drank half the Nutella matcha -which says a lot bc he hates sweets. What little half I got of the Nutella matcha -delicious. The ube latte was also delicious and I nursed the drink for 2 days -still good on the 2nd day I came back the second time with my sister and ordered banana corn croissant + matcha latte and salted cream coffee + garlic noodles with grilled chicken. This time it was a different crew making the drinks and the drinks were diluted. ... the croissant was also stale. When the garlic noodles was ready, the owner handed it to my sister and asked for feedback. We mentioned the drinks were okay but the croissant was stale. He was very kind about it and promptly packed us a complimentary croissant. That's great customer service. Overall, I really like the drinks here. The sandwich combos are a great deal and the garlic noodles were tasty, albeit on smaller side. Credit card transactions have a 2% fee. My initial take away is way overpriced and out of the way location. Plenty of parking, partly because that lot has been dead for years. Im always excited to travel for a new promising coffee spot. Great reviews so we made the journey. Menu geared for the younger crowd, I typically go for a iced mocha or cafe sua da type option. They had a "sea salt" iced coffee and I tried that one. 7.70 ... oh boy. 70% was drinkable, the foam on top was very sweet so I didnt mix it but felt like I also threw out 30% of my coffee when I was done and that was what was left. The coffee I drank was good but most places with that kind of iced coffee is half the price. 7.70 for that drive and a cup that would be medium at most shops I think its too much. read more

The drinks here are delicious however the sizing is inconsistent. I went on Friday and got the coconut pudding matcha Large which is an additional $2 I got a pretty big cup handed to me so I was like yes worth the $2 upgrade. Today I got the exact same drink(yes I drank it because I might as well since I paid for it) and I was handed the exact same size as a "Normal" size on their menu. I mentioned it to them and they told me their next size is the mega something which is literally the size I was given on Friday. So why would I pay an additional $2 for the exact same size as normal ? Anyways they only said thank you and I walked away because they didn't even try to fix the problem. Drove 40 min from Downey to come try this place out, cause my wife and I love finding cute and great tasting coffee and matcha shops. Initially came for the BOGO but we caved in for a half sweet banana matcha and a half sweet ube matcha latte! We also got two croissants 1 banana and one ube. The lattes were AMAZING! If you love your cream tops / cold foam, this one is nice and thick, it's perfectly sweetened so it pairs well with the half sweet matcha latte itself. 10/10 for the drinks. We also loved the croissants, it's just the perfect amount of crisp on the outside, and yes it does have a lot of filling but in the best way. 10/10 for pastries. My wife ordered the katsu Alfredo pasta and WOW. Flavors on point. I'm not exaggerating when I say I will drive another 40 min again to come back. The service was fast so that was a plus. I'm so sad. I've loved this place for months now and was coming here often but today's experience was not great. I used the kiosk to buy the bogo +1$ matcha einspanner. It was 10 dollars which made sense, as the upsized drink is 9 dollars. Then, a girl came out and said I needed to pay an extra dollar. I thought it was strange because the kiosk didn't say anything about that but I figured I'm getting two big drinks... I gave the girl an extra dollar in cash but it felt off to have to do that. If that is indeed the price they need to fix that on their kiosk. The kiosk only let me pick between full ice and no ice. I wanted to put half ice because that's what I usually get but I didn't have the option. I know coffee places give you less drink when you ask for no ice but I thought the amount missing from the cup was visible and noticeable. I really do want to give this place another shot because, like I mentioned, I have been coming here often every since I discovered this place.
