We went to Mirko for dinner and loved it! I had never been here but a friend of mine suggested it as it has been a favorite of hers for years. First off, the complimentary bread was delicious. It includes two types of bread, rolls and slices bread, and a white bean dip. Honestly so addicting, we had to force ourselves in order to not fill up on bread before our mains arrived. As for the menu, you can select a type of pasta and a type of sauce to go with it. They also have stand alone entrees. I decided to go with Gnocchi with Granchio as my sauce. My husband went with Tagliatelle with Mare. Mine was extremely tasty, very flavorful with a hint of spice. It was also a pretty large portion size. My husband said his was the best pasta he had since our trip to Italy last year. That's high praise! The atmosphere overall was nice but still casual, and our server was friendly. All and all we had a lovely time and we'll be adding this to our favorite places to get some fresh pasta! read more

My husband and I walked over to Mirko Pasta in Brookhaven. We've walked by many times and they never seem that busy, but we decided to have dinner there tonight. Honestly, I can't figure out why more people aren't eating there! The service was excellent. I was undecided on my order and the waiter recommended the lemon grouper dish. My husband ordered the champagne chicken special. We also split a full order of Caesar salad. The salad was large and plenty for two with lots of shaved cheese and croutons. Fresh rolls came out with a warm white bean/olive oil dip. Our main courses we're beautifully prepared - the fish cooked to perfection over a bed of asparagus, sprinkled with capers and olives. It was accompanied with a tourine of au gratin potatoes. Delicious! My husband's chicken consisted of a large pounded chicken breast sauteed in a lovely butter champagne sauce with sun dried tomatoes on top. It was served with tagliatelle. The pasta was slightly overcooked for my husband's taste, but the overall flavor of the sauce and the delicious chicken more than made up for it. Our server was polite, helpful and attentive. We were too full for dessert but definitely will be back. Oh, and did I mention the price? Very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received! read more

My friend and I have made this our decided upon place to meet during the week for dinner. It's simple and inviting, and we usually order the same thing every time we go. A great place for weekly traditions, celebrations, and girl dates. It's unique because you can "build your own pasta," choosing from pasta type and sauce. I almost always get the Zuppa di Pesce, a seafood stew served on toasted bread. From my reading, you can find variations of it all over Italy, and initially began as fisherman's way to conserve their leftover bits of seafood from the day's catch. Their bread is served with a thick gravy type sauce and olive oil, an interesting approach to the ubiquitous appetizer. Another suggestion: try their sangria. WOW! Found this place on a hunch. Had great reviews. Walked in and was instantly greeted and told to sit wherever we would like. Was greeted by Cynthia who was SO kind. She served bred that was free. Went to Mirko Pasta next to Buttermilk Kitchen. I was surprised to see it pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon. The interior space is really nice and well decorated. Don't know if to always looked like this or if it's been recently renovated. They also have a nice spacious patio out front. We ordered two two pasta dishes and were able to build our pasta from the type of noodles to the sauce. We ordered the lobster and shrimp ravioli with arrabiata sauce as well as the parpadelle pasta with San Remo sauce. Enjoyed both dishes! Great flavor and heat on the arrabiata sauce. Also, liked how the San Remo sauce had a good amount of spinach and sun dried tomatoes as I am a fan of both. Love that they make their sauces home made on a daily basis. They also have gluten free pasta available as well as boxed noodles you can purchase to make at home. They also brought out complimentary bread and a white bean dip with olive oil. Enjoyed both! I'm super picky on my bread and enjoyed Mirko's. This was the first time trying a white bean dip with bread and definitely won't be my last. Also, noticed on the menu they have bread pudding. Can't wait to go back and try some more of the dishes, pasta combinations, and desserts. Oh, also saw a couple of tables order a beautiful display on a charcuterie board. Daughter and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Parking lot was full but we parked at the Chase bank - there were no signs so I'm hopeful that was okay. We didn't get towed or booted so it must have been fine. The place was crowded, New York noisy, and just lively without being obnoxious. Just a solid vibe. There were people waiting but we got seated right away (I assume bc we were just a table of 2 opposed to the larger groups). Menu is fantastic and basically you can get whatever you want, add whatever you want to it, and it's just awesome. Food comes out fast and hot. Presentation is beautiful. Daughter had fusilli with pomodoro sauce and the bite I had was full of basil and the freshest flavor. I had the minestrone soup which a was incredible and the Insalata di Cavolo Riccio which was a fantastic salad full of sweet and savory deliciousness. Dessert choices are excellent too and service is attentive and friendly without being all in your business. Price point is what I would expect. This is one of those places when someone says "idk" when you ask them where they want to go, just go here- bc they will totally find something they'll like! I had All natural pollo Marsala with garlic sautéed spinach and potato au gratin from their lunch menu. It was very tasty but slightly salty. My favorite was the spinach - sooooo good!! Their portion was a good size and one main was plenty for me. One thing that was interesting was their chickpea bread olive oil dipping sauce. We liked the bread but the warm dipping sauce was interesting. + Service was prompt and attentive. I absolutely love Mirkos! The service is always great and so friendly. Whenever I am craving pasta this is one of my favorite places to go. I am a huge fan of the pappardelle pasta topped with either the fungi sauce or the salmon sauce which is a vodka base. Both have an incredible flavor. The fresh bread and bean dip you get as a starter is so delicious. I could eat just this itself. The burrata is another great appetizer. The friendliness of the bar tender was exceptional and welcoming. I enjoyed this place. Sat at the bar while they prepared out to go order. The food was season well and good portions for me. I enjoyed every last bit of my food. I would go back and sit at the bar for dinner. There is a tv at the bar and they have a semi full bar. The bar tender provided his opinion on certain dishes and i ended up choosing the chicken spinach Alfredo pasta and it did not disappoint. Must try for your self ! The mussels were on point. Title: Disappointing Dining at Mirko Pasta Review: I recently had the misfortune of dining at Mirko Pasta and left quite disappointed. The food quality was frankly underwhelming. Firstly, the calamari was rather overcooked and chewy - it was far from the tender and lightly fried dish I was anticipating. This certainly set a negative tone for the meal. The lasagna, to my dismay, arrived relatively cold, suggesting it hadn't been adequately heated prior to serving. Cold lasagna is at best unappetizing and unfortunately, this wasn't an exception. The server did have the cooks reheat the lasagna and ended up burning the bottom layer of pasta. Topping off my disappointing experience was the veal. Veal should be flavorsome and succulent, but this was anything but. It was incredibly bland and lacked the necessary seasoning, making it difficult to enjoy. (Very chewy) Overall, my meal at Mirko Pasta was a letdown. I hope that they can rectify these issues -considering I've eaten here a couple of times before and the service and food quality was so much better. Are here for dinner. All I ordered was a half Caesar. The dressing was almost nonexistent and sour. The waiter barely came to the table and we had to call him twice because we had an issue with a drink. Once I finally got his attention to ask for something else my friend had already finished her pasta. Once I told him about my issue he said I should have said something when it first came out and I said he hadn't been at the table so hadn't a chance to. The bread was cold and hard. Mirko was recommended by a family member and we were excited to try it while in Atlanta for a trip. We made a reservation and we're glad we did, it was pretty busy and not a huge restaurant. The waiter brought fresh bread and a white bean dip to the table to start. I'm not a huge fan of bean dips and asked for olive oil instead. We each ordered a different pasta dish. I love how their menu is, you choose a homemade pasta and then your sauce and any add ons. Everything was delicious and you can tell the pasta is fresh. They also have boxes pasta you can take home. Been awhile! Last night was dinner with high school friends and I picked a spot convenient for us all. I hadn't been with more than one other person before, nor sat at a table, and really enjoyed the Mirko dining room. The acoustics are good, which is noticeable because it's a spot where lots of families from the neighborhood frequent so there are plenty of kids. Our server, Duncan, was great. I had some specific ingredient questions and one of our group is vegetarian, and he helped with all of that quite handily. If you're cheese people, definitely get the burrata - the smoothest of mozzarellas, and served with multi-color/type tomatoes and just some olive oil drizzled over....yum. Everyone was please with their food - the boy and I particularly enjoyed our choice of funghi (mushroom) sauce with the tagliatelle (long noodles close in width to fettucine and linguine) since it was flavorful and not too heavy on the cream. One friend went healthier with the salad I'd been eyeing- arugula with grilled chicken, tomatoes, black olives, Parm and a vinagreitte. Most things like dressings and noodles are made in house, which is cool. The Caesar salad is pretty basic, and a full size is plenty to share between two if you're having other dishes (we also shared the generous portion of pasta). Mirko pasta is always a good option to have. Their pasta dishes are delicious and you can basically make your own meal with quality options. Their menu has changed a bit (I lost a few favorites) but overall their food is great. Would like to give them 5 stars but there were a few times a chef may have gotten something wrong. I started going to the Mobile location. It's a hidden gem. They had an apple sage sausage pasta sauce that was my weakness. Their white bean dip and fresh rolls are delicious. Be careful, you'll get full. Their salads are great. I've tasted almost every pasta/pasta sauce combo and have not been disappointed. Depending on the chef and location you may run across a bad batch, but 9/10 the food is a guarantee. The location is family friendly. Plenty of parking. There's an outside patio and a nice bar to enjoy drinks. If you need a new spot to eat this place is a safe option. read more

We had kind of a weird experience. The hours online didn't match what was printed on the door, but we got there around 11:30 am on a Saturday. It seemed like the kitchen staff were the only people there, but they seated us. Eventually, what seemed like a waiter took our order and served us. Slowly people started to trickle in. I really loved the food, and the portion sizes are great. But it's definitely not kid friendly. My kid loves pasta, but this Mirko is definitely a lot nicer in a bit more fancy than other locations. I was surprised by how good Mirko's is. This is a pasta place where you choose what type of pasta then what type of sauce. A few weeks ago I had penne with arrabbiata sauce. Nonna had gnocchi. This past weekend we started with an appetizer of melanzane (eggplant) that was absolutely terrific, followed by skirt steak (it didn't need the cheese) accompanied by spinach (good) and Brussels sprouts (excellent). We finished up with an five star chocolate mousse. The mousse was worth driving across town for. The service is personal. You want something changed or substituted? No problem. The portions are huge. Unless you are a teenager, each disk is large enough to split. Most of the diners were leaving with food they couldn't finish packed to go.
