Our Tesla routed us here to charge. Perfect, we were hungry and had to pee. We get there and they are inside but say they are closed. Check online and it says it's open. If you are going to apply to have Tesla chargers there should at least be somewhere to grab food and pee. Looks like from other reviews the bathrooms aren't maintained. Service was terrible, the guy behind counter offer the worst service, charge extra for Togo boxes without mentioning it. We ordered asada and carnitas tacos, and decided to order one more asada burrito since the asada was way juicier than carnitas. And guest what, they gave us carnitas burrito instead. Meat was super dry, no one wants to eat it. The benches only have frame, no springs, you just sink when you sit like it's going to suck into the seat. All aboard the bubble guts express! I've eaten here before and would not EVER again. Crust covered tables inside with a staff that does not smile at all and wears street clothes. No apron, no hair net...nothing. I've seen better customer service from a DMV employee. They vehemently refused to let me use the bathroom unless I bought something. Once I had to educate the business about the law I was then met with a large sigh from one of the staff member and FINALLY given the code. Don't allow superchargers to be built on your property if you aren't willing to let travelers use the restroom out in the middle of nowhere. No one wants to be forced to eat your nasty food. The tacos were over priced and mid I wouldn't stop for this place totally not worth it. I paid over $50 for a meal for two (7 tacos , corn in a cup, and a horchata). The service was terrible our ordered was skipped and served to the wrong people as they were very unorganized which caused a delay in orders. After I brought it to their attention they kept serving people who had order way after us. At this point our fellow accompanied travelers who ordered before us had already finished eating and we were still waiting to be served ! Stopped here on the way to Cali to charge and ran in to use the restroom really quick. I was excited to see this place, and had wanted to try the food here on the drive back (after our wedding). Right away the I was put off from the sewage smell when I walked in. While I was waiting, a shorter man with an apron ran up to me and kept pointing at the sign that's read "restrooms for customers only" and refused the restroom to me. I thought he was joking, because what if I was using the rr first and then grabbing something? But he wasn't... so just a heads up to anyone stopping here to charge! read more

This place is the definition of "take yelp reviews with a grain of salt". Despite the low-ish reviews, I decided to give this place a try as I originally had stopped here to charge my Tesla at the supercharger station. I was not expecting much whatsoever, just thought I'd grab a quick bite and initially ordered just one asada taco as recommended by the staff. I was so surprised with the taste and quality of the meat and taco itself that I just had to order more. I also got the carne asada burrito with cheese and that was also just as amazing. The meat was super hot and juicy and overall everything tasted really fresh. By the way the burrito doesn't come with rice so if you want it make sure to ask for it. They also have PUBLIC bathrooms AND it was also clean! Big plus for me! Additionally, they have a variety of sauces and condiments such lime, onions, and radish. My favorite was the orange-ish colored sauce- super spicy and flavorful The staff are also AMAZING, super kind and accommodating and the establishment was clean as well Definitely stopping by here whenever I get the chance. read more

This is my favorite burrito spot! They are a good size, not overly filled or wet/messy (I order asada). We stop here to charge our Tesla, they have a supercharge station! Stopped here on the way back from Las Vegas to LA to charge the Tesla. On a whim, we decided to check out the restaurant and it was AMAZING. The taco meat (asada and pastor) is flavorful and high quality. The salsa bar also has everything you can ask for, which includes spicy salsa, pickled red onions, limes, radishes. We ordered two pastor tacos with cheese and two asada tacos, and corn in a cup all of which we rated 10/10. There was a lady who also kept checking in on us making sure we had everything we needed and that everything was clean, which we really appreciated. The restaurant is clean and has restrooms open to the public. Definitely wish this restaurant was closer to home! Like someone else said, take Yelp reviews with a grain of salt - this restaurant definitely doesn't deserve its current 3.2 rating. read more

Highly recommend a stop here. Perfect spot for lunch if you need to charge your Tesla. Decided to stop her on the way home from Vegas. Didn't feel like eating the food in Barstow so decided to give this small Mexican Restaurant a try. Originally wanted asada tacos, but she said they still needed to be cooked another hour! So we decided on getting pastor. That was some delicious, tender meat!!! Lot's a flavor and a bit of kick! I had it in a taco and burrito. Also tried the carnitas taco. It was all wonderful. I suppose the mass cancelations of flights that occurred just after Christmas '22 had one silver lining....it forced me to drive to Vegas and land at Mis Pinches Tacos during a routine rest stop. I wasn't all too hungry, but while I was bored filling up gas, I decided why not. I really enjoy trying those random food spots, and I was surely glad I tried this one. I tried their Carne Asada and Pollo Asado Tacos and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious they were. That's my fault for not having high expectations to begin with but maybe that was a good thing. As soon as the tacos were ready and laid eyes on the pickled onions, I knew these tacos were legit. The meats were seasoned and cooked perfectly and the medley of ingredients were tasty with every bite. This place is right next to the Shell Gas Station so it's very conveniently located when at a rest stop. Next time you're in the Yermo area, don't be too quick to judge like I did...you won't be disappointed :) read more

MisPinches Tacos is a road side taco shop practically in the middle of nowhere. At least in the middle of my drive when I go to visit my family. I usually drive by it but I recently decided to stop and give it a try. First things first, the parking lot is small unless you drive a Tesla. They have a ton of charging stations here. Only a handful of spots for us fossil fuel fanatics, though. Lucky for me there was only one of customer (family) in the restaurant when I got there so I had no problem parking. When I walked in on this particular visit, I was quickly told that they were only serving tacos. Not a problem as tacos is what I wanted but it would have been a bummer had I wanted a burrito instead. I started to order my tacos with three different meats. I like to try asada, al pastor and pollo from places like this. Before I could even tell the cashier which meats I wanted she stopped me and told me that all of the tacos have to be the same meat. Ugh. I hate that. I want to try a variety. Now I have to make a decision. I went with carne asada as it is hard to screw up. I prefer al pastor but I've had mixed experiences with it at different places before. So, asada it was. I don't know why but I ordered my food to go. Actually, I do know why but I'd rather not say (cough* screaming kids *cough). Anyhow, when I got my tacos I went out to the car and ate before getting back on the road. I opened the foil wrapped trio of asada tacos and found them to be...small. I understand these are street tacos but they were small even by those standards. I will say they did put a lot of meat in the tiny tortillas. Grilled meat topped with cilantro and onion served with some lime wedges. Just the way I like them. And they were pretty good tacos. Not out of this world but solid. About 3 bites each with a bit of asada overflow. My order came with two cups of salsa which I did not use. I figured that would be a bad idea for eating in the car. I did take a sip of the red just to try it. Great balls of fire, it was hot! Nice flavor but dang. The other one, an avocado salsa, was much more mild. I admit, I ended up drinking that whole cup of salsa. It was really good. Would have been even better had I used it on the tacos. There was one surprise here that was interesting if not a bit confusing at first. My tacos were wrapped up with a grilled chili pepper. Serano maybe. Didn't taste much like a jalapeno. Regardless, it was coated with something I could not immediately identify. It looked red like a sauce but did not drip off. I looked at it a little closer and realized it was cheese. Melty crispy cheese draped over the pepper like a Christmas tree skirt. I knew I had to take a bite. And then another. And then...just the cheese because the pepper, as good as it was, was too hot for my liking. Especially since I still had another couple of hours of road ahead of me. Final thoughts - Service was not unfriendly. At least not to me. It would have been nice to have more of the menu available. It would have been even nicer to be able to order more than one meat for my tacos. The facility needs some help. Half of the restaurant was closed off. It looked like maybe they had a leaky roof. I know the area had gotten a lot of rain earlier in the week/day. They seem to have only one restroom here. Gender neutral. One user at a time. One stall that I saw that maybe had stuff stored in it. I could be wrong on that. I didn't use the stall. One of two urinals was out of order. There are no paper towels. And the air dryer was not working. So, average service for a bit above average food in a subpar facility. If you need to charge your Tesla and are looking for a bite to eat, check it out. Or if you're like me and just wanting a taco before finishing you journey. If you can wait until you get to your destination, this is an easy place to just drive by. read more

Stopped to charge the car and needed to use the restroom which are for paying customers only. Thats ok and understandable. They have pictures of big, yummy looking frescas with chamoy rimmed cups and fruit. They don't sell those. Settled for an iced tea. It tastes like what I imagine sewer water tastes like. My first trip to Las Vegas driving my electric car. My map is telling me I'm going to arrive with only 8% left in the battery, so I pulled off the 15 to too off at the Tesla super charger...hooked up, and this place is right next to the bank of chargers. It was lunch time, so got an asada and a carnitas taco!! Good stuff...the charger is not busy in the middle of the day. We stopped here to supercharge and there were tons of mixed reviews, a lot of them not so great. We decided we weren't going to stay here, but the charges were so fast and the kids started getting hungry we decided to try it anyways, and we're glad we did! First off, to address immediate concerns: 1) Restrooms are customer only. It's so annoying the way they have this setup because the employees are constantly interrupting taking your order to yell at people who walk in that the restroom is customers only. They need to switch to one of those coin systems or something to make it clear. The women's restroom had no lock, but you have to pull up on the handle to open the door (lol). The men's restroom has a code you need to ask the front for. With that said, the restrooms were reasonably clean. 2) There are a lot of reviews mentioning really bad smells, but when I was there, I noticed no such smells, and I have quite a sensitive nose for these sorts of things. So either I got lucky, or it's clearly not as bad as some reviewers made it out to be (probably a combo of both). Ok, so this is not some sort of fancy taco stand. It's more on the casual side. they have a reasonable well stocked complimentary salsa bar, so please take advantage. The burrito is mission style (i.e. rice and beans in it), for those of you from southern california who aren't used to burritos like that. The protein quality was all decent, and on par with typical taco stands of this caliber. The guys working there the day we went were very personable and friendly (despite constantly yelling that the restrooms were for customers only). Never got a chance to get food as the front door was locked, I knocked and pull the door and nothing, only after several minutes did I guy emerge from the kitchen area and move towards the door where he wave me off!? WTF I then look though the window to see if there was someone else and he looks at the window and gives me the back of his fist! What even is that. So as I'm writing this review another car pulls up and several Hispanic males get out and the guy opens the door for them and the promptly locks it back before I could even get to the door. Went back in January, on my way home from Vegas. I could not find a single good spot in vegas, and I was very hesitant to try this place, but I'm so glad I did. We went originally for birria, but they didn't have it, so we opted for carne asada tacos. Just thinking back about how they tasted makes my mouth water haha. The meat was very flavorful and tender, and the tortillas were the perfect texture. Some places over cook it and they become hard, or some places give them to you soggy. Not this place.
