Quite overpriced... my boyfriend and I both got borscht soup and it was $20 each. It was enough to fill us both up on a cold winter day but for $20... maybe not coming back. I was a little dismayed that I paid close to $50 for just soup. Interior is quite nice though, I feel like it might have a very romantic feel during the nighttime. Walking the dogs to the park and we always walk by here. Finally tried it tonight. From the appetizer to the entree everything was delicious. The service was good. Since we sat outside took them a bit to come out to check on us. Ambiance is cute. The color and the small water fountain with music fits well. It was a bit chilly to sit out tonight but eating with dogs. They gave us a complimentary alcohol drink. Not sure what it was. I only heard cranberry. Maybe it was cause we were cold. It helped warm us up. The honey comb cake sweetness level is good. But was a little bit dry. Me and my friend ate dinner sharing a fork. If we waited for someone to come out for us to ask about the fork. Our food would have been cold by then. At the end when we got the check. They gave us a handcraft chocolate candy and that was very good also. Only complaint was the one fork but two knives for our entrees. Overall highly recommend here. This is the loveliest restaurant. The walls are adorned with antiques, artwork, and mirrors. Chandeliers hang from the ceilings. Soft music. It feels like stepping into a fine restaurant in Warsaw. Absolutely the worst communication with a restaurant owner. I was looking for Russian cuisine and found this place. Google and yelp both showed they open at 12. So I made a reservation on Seated for party of 2 at 12pm. I received Seated's confirmation a hour later saying my reservation was confirmed. I came to the restaurant at 12 and found the place was closed. I called the restaurant and got yelled by the owner saying they only open at 1pm. I explained to her that I made a reservation at 12 so if they are truly open from 1, maybe they should change Google info. She yelled again saying "we only accept reservations by phone! You guys (customers) always make online reservations and just no-show. I am the one losing money ok?" Then I politely asked when is the next reservation (silly that I still wanted to try the food, she said only at 130 and then hang up on me) Her attitude was absolutely horrible, and also, out of no where. I am not coming to this place ever... I understand maybe she had a bad morning but please don't use on an (innocent) customer. What you are getting with your voucher is not worth it and will be a small assortment of toasts that looks like it's value is less than $30 and you're paying twice as much. Truly awful service and unsanitary. I came in to place a to go order and they kept acknowledging me and saying they'd come back to take my order except it turned into waiting for 15 mins just to put in the order. If I didn't come all the way from NJ to try this place I would have left. Shame because the place looks really quaint and cozy. THEN my to go food came in a used ratty, old plastic container with a label half ripped off from another restaurant clearly showing it was used. Then they gave me a dusty spoon that I saw them pull out from under a pile of random things stored in the host stand and they gave me a random mismatched fork they found in a drawer. Really gross. I have frequented Mishka Soho regularly since I first landed on it. One of the things I love is not sitting in a a box on the street. I can sit outside adjacent to the restaurant. The service is always great. The food is Eastern European. but to me I see many of my favorite dishes like chicken kabob. Borsh soup, and Salmon. Mishka Soho is a must visit! Their food is amazing, service is top notch and ambiance is super fun! They have a spacious patio with a beautiful graffiti wall and great music. My friends know how much I enjoy afternoon tea and took me out here for my birthday. They found two Pulsd deals for Mishka -- one for sweets and one for savories. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we knew the service would be subpar -- the owner hardly acknowledged us -- but we were still excited for the food, which had gotten great reviews. However, the service only went downhill from there. We never received some of the food we ordered and there were several missing items from the Pulsd deal to the point where we did not even realize that our meal was over -- we were still expecting another large plate of the desserts and a few more savories promised in the voucher. Despite the slow service (in the very empty restaurant), the owner had time to make snide remarks about the food we left on our plates. We grew increasingly uncomfortable and displeased by the service as the night continued, and I will admit that it was probably obvious we were upset by the looks on our faces, yet we always made it a point to be polite to the owner. After we had the paid bill, the owner told us we were rude and that she has the deals as a service to the city -- that she did not need our business. This was after she cheerfully greeted the customer a few tables over and then chit chatted with us and complained about him, so I guess we should not have been as surprised that she was two-faced. Overall, of the food we actually got, it was fine, but we were severely overcharged based on the amount of missing items we already paid for from the supposed deal. Came here on 10/3 with three friends because the environment seemed so inviting with the jazz music and it was such a nice vibe to just come and sit for a few drinks. As we arrived a woman who was already frustrated warned us that the service was very slow and we took heed but still sat. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to address is and when she did she told us that she couldn't serve us and that she was the only one so basic we need to leave. She then walked away and didn't even allow us to speak nor did she apologize. We literally just wanted drinks and she didn't even care. It seems as if she didn't want to serve us for another reason (if you know what I mean) I will be spreading the word to all 69K of my followers on all social media platforms. We were drawn into this cozy restaurant by the colorful murals outside and the strains of jazz guitar and keyboards inside on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We were planning to make this a "quick stop" in our cousin-reunion-eats-Manhattan whirlwind tour but we ended up staying the better part of the afternoon. We ordered the lamb and Siberian dumplings and beef and lamb menti (a larger dumpling); everything was so delicious! When it was time to move on to our next eating adventure, we realized that we hadn't gotten the tea we had ordered. This was when we learned that it was just finished steeping, because tea is traditionally served at the end of the meal. I made a brunch reservation through email. Marina was very sweet and responsive throughout our exchanges. When we arrived Saturday the staff was around but it seemed somewhat disorganized. Despite that my group and I had a wonderful time!! The ambiance and vibe were very unique!! We loved the decor. The food was delicious. I had the Kebab which was insanely tender and flavorful and the potato dumplings. Also very good!! I say give mishka a try. The other reviews did scare me a little but I'm glad we did come.
