Dinner
Apex S.

I was really craving some simple salmon over rice and decided to order delivery from here. The salmon was fresh and tasty. The rice was over seasoned but the texture was great. Followed this up with dessert, strawberry mochi ice cream. You get two pieces in an order. Chewy, sweet, a perfect end to the meal. Keep in mind that prices on delivery apps (we used DoorDash) are almost 1.5x the price in the restaurant. Of course, their delivery fees are also quite high irrespective of distance so it evens out. Basically, if you want to pay standard price, it's best to eat in or pick up the meal yourself!

Misono is one of my favorite local spots for good comfort Asian food. They have a mix of Korean, Japanese and Thai options. Service is always great and attentive and the place is always a quaint place to sit and eat. I always enjoy their tofu pad Thai, salmon or tuna bibimbap bowl, and duk mandu guk (soup in photo). They're basically my go to orders. Some sushi appetizers like tuna croquettes are quite pricey but really tasty. Whenever I'm in the area, I tend to always want to stop by!

The number on the door is 200. I live at 201.

Recently some friends took me to dinner at Misono for my birthday, and I was impressed. So I decided to try ordering dinner through their delivery service. I was charged #60.95 for the food, delivery, and a tip for the driver, but the food never arrived. I got a phone call from the driver, saying that he couldn't find my number. Since I just moved in a few weeks ago, I thought he couldn't find me in the building entry system. So I said I was coming down, and I went down to the lobby, but he wasn't there. He called me again and said he couldn't find my rather large apartment building. I kept telling him it was at 201 Sherman Road, but he finally said he was at 200 and was leaving the food there. He texted me a picture of the food left in front of a door numbered 200, and I got a text from Grubhub saying that my order was delivered. But it wasn't delivered. Not to me anyway. Then I got an email from Misono asking for a review of my experience. I replied with a thumbs down and described my experience. I thought I'd hear from them by now, but that was Saturday night, and it's now Tuesday, and I've heard nothing. Since I see no way to rate grubhub or Toast, their "delivery partner," and the Toast website provides no way to follow up, I'm posting this review of Misono. I loved their food when I got to try it, but I'm not ordering delivery from them again.

Spicy tuna Sushi and fried shrimp
Alex K.

Awesome spot for Asian cuisine. Great sushi and a variety of food from all over Asia including Thai and Korean. The pad Thai was fantastic. The spicy tuna was great. The house special spicy fried shrimp was really tasty. High class, expensive, but worth every penny. I will certainly be back; this is my 4th time: Love this spot.

Don't get me wrong, I am still a huge fan of misono and always will hold it close to my heart - however, I have one request: PLEASE STOP USING EXTREMELY BROWN AVOCADOS. I am tired of trying to figure out wether the vegetable is rotten or oxidized- and quite frankly, I shouldn't be spending time doing so. Had to discard almost every roll last time because of this. Regardless of wether it is safe to eat, it is simply unappetizing.

Signature bibimbap.
Boer C.

Ordered their signature bibimbap. Definitely not taste like traditional Korean but it doesn't mean it's tasty. I actually like this lighter iteration of Korean bibimbap. Perfect for lunch. Saracha available on the side if you need more flavor.

Second visit in two weeks - sushi and bibimbap were delish. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back for more.

It wasn't too crowded, decent but minimal service, and reasonable prices. There was a large party at the adjacent table and they seemed to be served fairly well. I also got some California rolls that were alright, but not amazing.

SUSHI SUPREME I've been coming to Misono for over 10 years and I can say the service is always consistently been amazing. I have gone to other Japanese and Asian restaurants where they serve sushi and none of them compete in my book. I have never done take out with them because I never really believed in ordering Sushi or food takeout because it's not the same experience. But I was blown away, it was virtually the same experience taste-wise. The food is always delicious and has never changed. They use quality ingredients and this place is definitely affordable. You can choose to have a luxurious sushi roll or stick with something casual for a more affordable price. But either way you will not be disappointed. I will be coming here for my Sushi fix regularly.

Tornado roll

GET THE TORNADO ROLL TO GO! It's soooo yum. They put all the toppings on the side and it's like a bowl of the most delicious tasting stuff I've ever had. Plenty to put on the roll and then a bunch to jsuy eat plain it's sooo good. They are nice good service and cool place but I always get to go to be honest. The miso soup is also good and so is the seaweed salad I like that they put some crab on it

The Food Poisoning Roll... get it while it's not fresh!

Ochi Sushi & Ramen

It's not…read morecomparable to authentic Tokyo, NY, LA, or Boston, so it doesn't warrant 5 stars globally, but it does deserve 5-stars for a dependable, flavorful suburban Japanese eatery. The food quality is above average, the execution is high, and the service is attentive. The space is clean and efficient, but lacks warmth. We visited the day after a large 1-2 foot snowstorm, and Ochi was one of the only restaurants open in town. I've eaten at Ochi 4x since it opened in 2023, although there's a lot more to explore on its expansive and prolific menu. On this visit, we tried a Tuna Poke Bowl, a Salmon Pome Bowl, a Katsu Ramen, a Mango Salad, and a Mochi desert. Regarding the Tuna Poke Bowl, Ochi took the liberty of substituting more expensive fatty tuna (Toro), for regular tuna (Maguro), a generous and appreciated gift as a thanks for dining on a very slow night due to the storm. Hence, I would recommend everything we tried: the Mango Salad, any of the Sushi, Sashimi and Maki choices, the Poke bowls and Ramen (especially the Spicy Miso Ramen, the chicken Katsu Ramen, and any of the traditional pork or beef Ramen choices). In addition, the deserts are especially worth trying, and are all well orchestrated. You can't really go wrong at Ochi.

Location is great, there were able 2 employees working the front. Not really sociable with us but very chatty with each other. Pricing is a bit on the higher end for the quality for sure, out of 7 dishes between a group of 4 and 2 were for sure pre-made items only 2 dishes were ok. As for the food itself, I can say it's more on a "cleaner" side vs the extra flavor and oily texture you'd get from a fast food chain. The ramen broth was subtle, the noodle perfect, but the flavor wasn't there. The Chef special roll was way over priced for what you get, especially only having 1 piece being the best out of the "assorted" fish. The hibachi wasn't good in my opinion, good portion though. Would not order that again. The chicken teriyaki flavor was great, chicken texture was more like grilled on a pan vs over flame. Loved the veggies though. The gyoza and takoyaki were good as well as the strawberry mochi icecream. Wish they were more friendly though, making us feel like we were inconvenient for them was a major turn off.

The hostess was very kind and accommodating. I have high suspicions this place is owned by Chinese people based on some clues, such as Chinese style noodles on the ramen menu and steamed pork buns as an appetizer. We got the beef noodle soup which was excellent (albeit not expected in a Japanese restaurant!). It was actually a little spicy. Came with lots of beef and a flavorful and rich broth. We got two of the special rolls, Kiss of Fire and (I think) Torched Yellowtail, which were both tasty. No complaints there! For our appetizer we got sashimi salad, composed of strips of several kinds of raw fish (salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail) and some surimi and avocado on top of a bed of greens. There was a ponzu like sauce on the side. Although fresh and not bad tasting, I think this was a bit plain. Overall though, the prices and vibes were good and I'd come back!
