I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miss Conduck Restaurant, a hidden gem in the heart of Atlanta's historic downtown area. This spot is located on historic Edgewood Avenue. It's one of the stops on the Atlanta downtown trolly loop. We walked there after visiting The King Center. From the moment I stepped in, I knew it would be a good experience. The space was beautiful and the hostess greeted me as soon as I walked in. The menu featured a wide variety of Caribbean dishes. My friend and I shared the Coconut Shrimp and Doubles appetizers. They were both yummy. I ordered their stew chicken as my main meal. My friend ordered the oxtails. We loved those also. The drinks were tasty and the service was impeccable. We didn't get a chance to try the desert, but it sure looked good. We will definitely be back!! This is a perfect place for a date, girls night out, birthday celebration or family gathering. They also have a beautiful bar space perfect for dining solo and an outdoor patio for when the weather permits. read more

I live in Miami and on my various trips to Atlanta to visit family I wanted some Caribbean food so I came across a West Indian Caribbean Restaurant called Miss Conduck very catchy name so my friend I decided to try it. From the moment I walked in the hostess was very friendly and the ambiance gave you a feeling of being in the Caribbean. The décor was very elegant and homey. Its very nice to go out and hear your Caribbean music and I love soca music so that topped it off right there. The owners Emily and Latoya was very friendly and they came over to greet us and ask how everything was. OMG I had the braised oxtails with the Rasta pasta with a side of Calalloo and it was phenomenal. I also ordered the doubles and curry chicken Roti to go. My friend had the rice and Peas with curry goat and a side of baked macaroni. I also had a rum punch and my friend had a coco Loco that was really good. T The service was really great to, our waitress was Angel and she was engaging, friendly and very attentive. 10 out of 10 Angel..She suggested the drinks to us and it hits the spot.. this was a vey great experience I will visit again. OMMMMMGGGG Excellent food and vibes. From hostess to our beautiful waitress Angel, nothing short of spectacular. All of Angel's recommendations were spot on. Oxtail Arancini (please add the rice on the menu so bomb), Roti curry chicken to die for and the Rasta Pasta with salmon was the star of the show. Food very flavorful and fresh. Awesome to try this new place. Was recommended this spot by my coworkers and it's been hard for me to get to the city, but I am so glad I was in the area yesterday! Decor 10/10. Ambience 10/10. From the minute we pulled in to park, was greeted by the owners, so sweet and inviting. Service 10/10. My girl and I sat at the bar to have drinks after work and something light because we already had groceries in the car to cook. Drinks 10/10. Ordered the doubles and jalapeño cheese rolls, 10/10. It was the WORST day for weather but this place was worth it. Ordering was super easy online. I was warmly welcomed by a young woman and young gentleman at the door. When I say they are super sweet and humble it's an understatement. My husband and I ordered the mixed veggies, rice and peas and chicken roti. Everything g was AMAZING!!! So many restaurants have lost their commitment to superb & quality products but not here! The freshness is on point. If there was a , they would get a ! Today our palates were pampered with THE BEST Carribean Fusion we've ever experienced including on our many travels to several Carribean countries for vacations! We drove over an hour to get to this hidden gem that shouldn't be hidden by any means but set upon the highest platform of Caribbean food excellence possible and exposure to be the "Newfound Gem" that is a MUST TRY! I'm not exaggerating and again my palate is well seasoned as I travel internationally almost monthly. We initially stood outside a bit but Ms. LaToya, one of the owners, invited us to come right in. The vibe & reception was beyond my expectations. We then met the Executive Chef/Owner, Miss Emily . We immediately felt like family. We started off with the Doubles Doubles & "doubled our order" after tasting such a beautiful array of flavors that just makes you silent in food ectasy. I'm heading to my microwave to warm up my last one. Shhh We ordered the "Oxtail Rasta Pasta" which fell off the bones into the well pampered seasonings that were just delectable. We also ordered the Curry Goat which was as equally jaw dropping with the perfect exotic flavors that didnt disappoint. We've never had the honor to taste the Trinidadian style fusion cooking of Caribbean foods until today and our lives have been changed. Today felt like we were in the islands with the ambiance, decor and at the same time we felt like we were sitting with family members while speaking with the owners. I can't forget to share how respectful & passionate about the food and service Miss Conduck is. You can literally feel the love through the food. Literally. I had to inquire about the preparation process and when it was explained we were in awe. So much time is taken to make sure that excellence is what is served with every meal. The jerk chicken and plantains are excellent. The Naan bread and jalapeño rolls (not too hot!) are also cooked to perfection. You get a good amount of food for the price. It's not cheap but it's worth the price. The decor and tables were lovely and clean, and the restrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen in a public place, for real! Emily and her daughter Latoya are managers and chef and they are so nice. Our server was Ken and he was super sweet, very friendly, careful with our order and requests, and very attentive. First time visiting Miss Conduck. Let's start with what was great. The ambiance was so plush; the esthetic was high end. The service was also top. Our server knew the menu and offered nice suggestions. We went with the doubles for our appetizer. Delish and exactly like I experienced when I was in Trinidad. Rum punch was my pick and it was also a good selection. Friend had curry goat and she enjoyed. I had the shrimp curry. While tasty it was a little salty for my liking. I'd come back to try other menu items. Not a hit - the parking. There is a lot but we paid $20 to park on a Saturday night. There are other lots but it was a busy night in the area. The restaurant has great ambiance playing afrobeats and reggae. Comfortable seating. When we arrived we were immediately seated at the bar and greeted by bartender Trina. I didn't know what sorrel was she let me taste it determine the best mixer for my cocktail. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We ordered oxtails and curry chicken. The meat was falling off the bone tender, well seasoned. The steamed veg had great crisp and texture. We cleaned our plates. Miss Conduck is outstanding restaurant and the service and family environment are superb. We had an awesome experience at this restaurant. We got a flyer about the restaurant after leaving the Martin Luther King Center. The boys I took on the tour talked me into going because they thought it said meals were $5. Once we arrived, I realized it said "starting," at $5. After paying hundreds of dollars for tours, e.g. Zoo, Coca Cola, Football Hall of Fame, Aquarium, and other activities, I was spent out. When we got there we were greeted as family by the owners themselves. One of the owners, the daughter, served us. When I told her my situation, she went way above and beyond. She made recommendations for dishes to order and then set it up as a family meal so that everything could be shared. Not only that, she and her mother gave us double the amount of food! Then to top it off, they gave us another item from the menu, double the amount again!! The food is tasty. The atmosphere is great, the service is personal. Great customer service and great food. I haven't had pholourie this good since I was last in Trinidad and the tamarind sauce was delicious. The curry goat roti was worth every penny. From the woman who took my order by phone to the woman who gave me my meal and drink, everyone was professional and gracious.
