This donut shop does not deserve any stars at all!! Me and my kids walked in to buy donuts and as soon as you walk in the store has an old musty smell. But we still gave it a try. So we ordered a powdered donut holes and it smelled like cockroaches crawl on it and a rat pee. Then my son had a cream cheese bread and it is hard as a rock like it was a week old bread already. I asked the guy (which I could not understand because of his strong Chinese accent) if we can just change it to something else and he refused because he said we already touch it!!! Wow that's not how you handle a good customer service. How would we know that their breads and donuts are not good if you do not touch, taste, and try it??? Crazyyy!! Im a fan of Miss Donuts. There small powered donuts are so soft and comforting! YUM! & there cheese and ham croissant was delish! I just wished there was more ham in it, there's only a rolled up ham in one section. Prices are good too 10 for $1 powered donut & $2 for the croissant. I didnt give them 5 stars only because the workers didnt seem so welcoming, peeking at me through the glass window...But i'd still come back here. read more

They had really good fresh donuts. We went around 8pm on a Thursday night. We bought a dozen for 6.99 and he threw in 2 extra donuts for free. That's what I call good customer service. All of the kinds we tried were great, especially the regular glazed. So light and fluffy! read more

HEADS UP IF COMING HERE ON THE HOLIDAYS: THEY MAY BE CLOSED. THEY ARE FOR THANKSGIVING 2014. NORMALLY THEY ARE OPEN 24-7 I was pleasantly surprised by the donuts from here. You walk up and you can tell it used to be a Winchells or something, but with years of neglect new owners came in and didnt do much to improve its appearance. We almost couldn't tell this place was open if it werent for the OPEN 24 HOURS neon sign in the window. It's in an old yellow building which is kind of neat. You immediately walk in and the cashier comes utilizing the best English she can muster to see what we'd liked and was very friendly. We pick out a maple bar and a huge cinnamon roll. We pay for it...came to about $2 (not bad in price), gave a tip and left. Bring cash though...its a small mom and pop whose main selling point is something that costs $1...it costs more than that to have an ATM or Credit Card service...so if you complain about that, just remember YOU ARE BUYING A SUGARY TREAT THAT COSTS LESS THAN YOUR LAZY USE OF A CARD...grab that spare change in your car thats been piling and do something with it. Yeesh! You are lucky they even offer those paying methods. Most donut shops don't, so cut em some slack! The donuts were actually the best we've had on the east thus far. Dough was soft and fresh and perfectly sweet and the glaze although minimal was flavorful. The cinnamon rolls were also good...maybe a tad stale...guess they arent a favorite around there. I always make it a point to go visit this little joint when I visit my girl Renee down in L'Grove once or twice a month. I've honestly never been a fan of doughnuts or the whole idea of doughnuts in general my entire life. But after my first trip to Miss Donuts that quickly changed. Their boston creams are a must have; if not for obvious health implications I'd order and eat 200 or every time I'm there lol. The glazed donut holes are also quite delicious. Overall the atmosphere is very laid back and the employees are quite friendly and courteous. I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone in the area looking for some great tasting donuts. The coffee here is good and they have a big selection of donuts. The woman at the counter was friendly. However, I got a blueberry muffin once and it was not so good. It was very greasey and had very little blueberries. If I go back I'll stick with the donuts and coffee. read more

I was having a craving for donuts. Luckily this place is open 24 hours! It was late--maybe 10pm or so and was lucky to have dropped in when fresh donuts were being made! The woman who helped us was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered way more than I should have, but couldn't resist! I wouldn't say these donuts were anything gourmet but when you're craving a donut-these are the kind we all think of. She was even nice enough to give me a piping hot glazed donut for free! I've lived in Lemon Grove for a long time so I have seen the turn over of that donut shop. I stopped by there a couple of months ago and got the worst customer service and paid for the most nasty dried up old donuts that made me want to go on a diet!!! The lady who was making the fresh donuts in the back only wanted to sell me her morning donuts because it was already evening and she wanted to get rid of the old donuts. I only wanted to buy 2 donuts and she kept on bullying me to buy "Half Dozen for a better deal" I told her I didn't want half dozen and then she got mad as she took my money giving me attitude. There was a customer sitting there with her 2 daughters who saw this and they too were surprised to see the attitude that came out of the "donut chef."
