I recently heard about Yujin K Bowl in Waipahu and had to check it out after hearing they serve bowls for under $6. What impressed me the most is that the prices are incredibly affordable without sacrificing taste or quality. Amazing value! I got to try several of their bowls, and my favorite was the Japchae Bowl. Really flavorful and delicious. The Bulgogi Bowl was also packed with flavor and definitely worth trying. So much different bowls to choose from, so get several. Psssssssssst! Looking for some cheap eats??? Let Bruddah Fran give you da 411 on a little hole-in-da-wall joint called - Yujin K-Bowl in the Waipahu neighborhood. Yeah, yeah, I can't take any credit for this great find, as my buddy - Carlton W. gave me da scoops about this place, as he's come to Yujin K-Bowl several times as it's only a hop, skip, & a jump away from his house in the Waikele neighborhood. Located at the Waipahu Shopping Plaza, you can find the Yujin K-Bowl restaurant towards the leftside of the shopping complex. Some of the other major businesses in the same shopping complex is - Savers & Pacific Supermarket. Yujin K-Bowl is basically a grab & go takeout joint, as there's no seating available inside of the restaurant. Yujin K-Bowl features Korean food and the menu is pretty simple, as they offer about about 10 different bowls for $6 bucks, and one special bowl - Yujin Bowl for about $9 bucks. The day I came here with my buddy - Mark C. we ordered the following bowls - 1. Honey Garlic Chicken Bowl 2. Meat Jun Bowl 3. Bulgogi Bowl 4. Spicy Pork Bowl What can I say about the grub? I ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken bowl, and for $6 bucks, I would say it's a pretty decent bowl. The Honey Garlic Chicken is pretty tasty, & I liked the Japchae noodles in the bowl Overall, I would say that the bowls have nothing special about it, and I wouldn't make a special trip from town to Waipahu to get their bowls. The food portions of the bowls were on the smaller size, so if you're a big eater, you may need to buy two or three bowls for yourself. Lol! As for me, the Honey Garlic Chicken bowl was more than enough for me. After I ate my bowl, I wasn't overly full, yet the bowl didn't leave me hungry for more food. My buddy - Mark C. had the Meat Jun Bowl, and he also felt the same. I'm happy I made my way to Waipahu today to give Yujin K-Bowl a try. Wow!!! First time here and I must say, I don't know why I didn't stop by sooner since I'm always in the area. I am sooo super stoked that their prices are so reasonable! They actually have bowls for $5.70! Who has that now days? Definitely call in your orders and pick up. This place is to-go and there is no seating area. Definitely worth the price for food. BEST DEAL IN OAHU!! If you love korean food you've got to try this place! Their korean bowls are all less than $6 and the "bigger bowl" is less than $9. And the best part, they don't skimp out on the meat! We got the bulgogi bowl which was very delicious. The meat was super soft and flavorful. The rice soaked up all the meat juices perfectly. The sides (japchae and corn) were a nice compliment to the main dish. In addition we also got a kimbap roll. It was around $6 and very filling. There was 10 pieces of kimbap and it was stuffed with meat, egg, carrots, takuan, and choy sum. The service was also great! Food came out quick and the worker was very friendly. It's a small, quiet shop with takeout only but there's tons of parking which is very convenient. Overall, we had an amazing experience and are definitely going to go back. read more

I was driving through this shopping center on Saturday when I seen a giant "$6.00 BOWL ALL DAY" sign on the door at Yujin K Bowls, I haven't been to this spot since Bibimbap House was there. I parked my car and went inside. The restaurant looks smaller but it was still very clean. I looked at the menu and the bowls were actually $5.70 each. I ordered the Spicy pork 2x, Bulgogi, Meat Jun, Kimmari and Fried Oysters. It took about 5 minutes for my order to finish since I was the only one there. The bowls aren't too big, but you can't expect much for $5.70. Each bowl includes rice, corn and noodles. I tried the Fried Oysters first; it was very bland so it would be nice if they offered a sauce to go with it. I then tried the Spicy Pork- that was so bomb. The spiciness level was perfect. It was the best bowl I tried. The Bulgogi was pretty good too, although it could use more marinating. The Meat Jun was alright, it reminded me of Soon's Meat Jun, very thin. The only one I didn't personally try was the Kimmari, but my son said it was really good. For $5.70 a bowl these are totally worth it. I definitely recommend trying the Spicy Pork. read more

Let's just say, thanks to social media for suckering me into checking this place out, lol. Today was the perfect day to pick up take out because I didn't know what to cook for dinner. Because the bowls were cheap, I decided to pick up 4 different bowls to try. Perfect for my daughter and I. We both ordered 2 bowls each...1 for dinner tonight + 1 for lunch tomorrow. As of today 7/23/26, each bowl that I ordered was $5.70 without tax! What a deal! Here are the bowls that we ordered: *Bulgogi (Beef Bowl): Haven't tried it yet. Will update this later. *Honey Garlic Chicken: Delish! Your typical garlic fried chicken with a nice hint of sweetness! *Spicy Pork: my FAV. The meat was so tender and very flavorful! The spice was just right with a nice...KICK! Not too hot...not too mild! Loved this!!! *Meat Jun: my 2nd FAV. I think it is...The BEST meat jun on this island. It was so tender, flavorful and perfect! The egg batter on the meat did not fall apart. It stayed on as I enjoyed eating it. Most meat jun that I eat usually falls apart and not as flavorful without the dipping sauce. However, this meat jun does not need any dipping sauce. I repeat no need the dipping sauce. I was wondering why there was no dipping sauce in my bag. Now, I know why? My daughter and I really enjoyed the food! We could taste the...HEART, SOUL and LOVE that went into each dish! WHAT??  $6 BBQ Bowls EVERYDAY!   I had to go and check it out!   It's in Waipahu next to Chris' Peanut shop on Farrington Highway.   There's parking right in front of the door.   When we went, there was lots of parking but I was told by another customer that it can get a little crowded during peak times.  She also told me this used to be called Yujin's K-BBQ before.   Not sure if it's the same owner and just a name change.   This was our first time coming.  The restaurant is strictly take-out. It's very clean inside.  Everything looks brand new.   Though there was only one lady working in the front, it was very fast and very efficient.  When I say FAST, I am not kidding -- I took a picture of my receipt at 10:42 when I placed my order and I took a picture of my watch when we got our food.  Eight (8) minutes -- that's all it took!!   I also need to mention that there were other people ordering and picking up their food so I wasn't the only customer they had.   All the way home, I kept telling my husband that I couldn't believe how fast we got our order!   SHAZAM!!! They have TEN (10) bowls for $5.70 (5.97 w/tax).   The only bowl that costs more was the Yujin Bowl which is a bigger bowl and comes with bulgogi and spicy pork.  There was only 2 of us, bit we couldn't decide and ended up ordering 3 bowls -- Spicy Pork,  Meat Jun, and the Honey Garlic Chicken Bowl.    All the bowls come with rice on the bottom, a small scoop of corn, and a scoop of chap chae noodles (which were yummy).   We both agreed the spicy pork was our favorite!    It definitely had a kick and lots of flavor which we both enjoyed.  The garlic chicken was okay though I didn't really taste that familiar garlic taste.   It did come with a sweet sauce on top that added to the taste but I guess I'm used to the local style garlic chicken.  The meat jun was nicely coated (my pet peeve is meat jun that has little or practically no coating) but there was NO meat jun sauce.   I'm not sure if it was missing or it doesn't come with it but....I sure did miss it when I ate it.   I think if it had meat jun sauce or any kind of hot sauce this would have been another favorite. My recommendation -- This is PERFECT for Sport Team Snacks for after practice or after game.  We always were in search for a good bento or snack that we could quickly pick-up -- especially now since a lot of the old faithful bento places we used to go are no longer in business.   The serving size is on the smaller side so perfect for kids ---- well, maybe not big kids unless it's just a snack.   I would definitely recommend for all team parents.   With all the choices of bowls, I'm sure you'll find a bunch of happy campers if you buy for the team.   If I need to pickup a quick snacks for the kids, I will definitely be coming back! read more

We originally fell in love with this place back when it was Yujin K-BBQ. The place is always so cute, brightly decorated, and spotless. You can truly tell the sweet, hard working, wonderful owners put so much love into their cooking and customer service. They created a very welcoming environment for their guests and everything comes out piping hot and made fresh to order. So while there's a short wait in their comfortable seating area, it is 100% worth every second. We stopped by for dinner recently and realized they've updated their name to Yujin K Bowls. Same great owners and same incredible quality, just a brand-new concept! They currently have multiple $6 bowls to choose from, which is an unbelievable value. Those little bowls are packed with food and exploding with flavor! I finished my bowl feeling completely content. You can't go wrong when picking up food here. My other half swears by the spicy pork, it's the best he's ever had and the meat jun is an absolute must-try. Yujin K Bowls is easily one of our favorite take out spots whenever we're craving Korean food. Highly recommend! read more

Just found out about this place. $6 is a great deal for a good, decent small sized meal - smaller than most plate lunches but the taste is great! I got the honey garlic chicken and that was so tasty! My hubby got the japchae and that was ono too. Will be going back to tray the other options! Each bowl came with rice, side serving of japchae (just the noodles) and a little serving of corn. Went to Yujin last week for the first time. Ordered the japchae bowl for me and the meat jun bowl for the wife. We both enjoyed the authentic taste of the food. The Yujin bowl was much better than what I thought it would be. At $8.70, it comes with a tender pork slices marinated with a Korean spiced past, beef bulgogi was a little lighter taste and not marinated too much with soy sauce and the japchae was a good compliment to the meal. I skipped their corn. The honey garlic chicken was not that good and I hope they will improve in time. Chicken was over cooked, dry and not much of garlic flavor. Overall, it was worth the trip and am looking foward to try other dishes. read more
