Been wanting to go to Miss Lucy's for years. This is the fancy place in the village of Saugerties, meaning that it's more like NYC pricing. Place is stereotypical upstate hipster with a touch of southern influence; think lots of wood and worn antiques. Service is uber friendly and efficient with the exception of the bar, which is a bit slow. Long story short, after a lot of hype over the years, the place lived up to it for the most part. Drinks were great although they took a bit to come. I got the #1 (fruity whiskey drink) and the #2 (mezcal fruity drink) which were both good. They had a mango smoothie sour beer on tap which my wife loved. It's kind of weird they list on the menu charging for bread after the first basket; it was decent but very crusty and rustic, so plowing through a basket of that and needing more would be impressive. We got the fried Brussels sprouts to start. These were superb, with a shallot aioli and some maple syrup. Fried Brussels sprouts with maple always works, and then a bit of the Mayo (sorry, aioli) drove it over the edge. I was originally going to get the branzino, however our waitress recommended the scallops special. I wish the scallops were a bit bigger, however you get 6 of them and they were cooked to a perfect sear. The risotto they came with was good, although the asparagus was a pretty meager portion. All together the scallops made the dish (hard to find good scallops), with the risotto filling you up and the asparagus contributing a little variance in flavor. My wife had the fried chicken which she devoured. Didn't do dessert which is regrettable. Would definitely like to add this to the rotation of restaurants if I can get out without the baby more often. Legitimately good and interesting food with solid drinks? Sign me up. read more

What a cute brunch spot in Saugerties! We actually stumbled upon this restaurant because a different spot told my party of 6 that we had an hour wait. Miss Lucy's wasn't open at the time, but luck was on our side - by the time we checked the time, Miss Lucy's was opening up for brunch in 5 minutes, so it was an easy decision to head over. My husband and I split the Brisket Sandwich and PLT. Both were really good, but we both liked the PLT better. The Brisket Sandwich was great but felt a little heavier overall than the PLT. The lattes were nice to pair with our brunch. The food was a bit slow, but the service was very friendly and welcoming. Great spot! read more

I really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts and broccoli cheddar soup, I ordered the fish and chips but substituted the fries for Mac n cheese, the Mac and cheese was watery and the fish lacked flavor. My bf had the brisket sandwich and said it lacked flavor, it was a huge portion and came with fries.. but flavor is more important to us than portion size. Customer service was great, there was no wait upon arrival despite it being busy and everything came out pretty quick. It was walkable from where we stayed, which was a plus. So glad we came in here on our first night in town. Very nice atmosphere, and reasonably priced for some homemade meals. We loved the mussels with the bread and broth they're in!! An excellent brunch spot, Lucy's filled up quickly after opening. My challah french toast was fluffy, though slightly dry, and the fruit compote was more exotic than expected. The wait staff was accommodating with some of our boozy cocktails and overall my family really enjoyed their dishes. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other plates. read more

My GOD, days have passed and I'm still bowled over by Miss Lucy's. Came in around noon on Sunday for brunch, we were quickly seated. We loved the shabby chic ambiance with mismatched chairs. Service was good and attentive. The food and drinks were SO good, really exceeded expectations. The food took a bit to come out but it was actually nice to savor the experience and not feel rushed out. I had the brisket sandwich and it was 10/10. Kitschy cute. That's it. Wait...it's seriously more than that! Lucy's flew under the radar for the many years we've been coming up to the Woodstock and Saugerties area, but the secret is out now. Saugerties is a nice destination for many reasons, but the town has raised the stakes in their eateries too- including Lucy's that stands out as quite possibly the quirkiest of them all located on Partition St. When you first walk in, you'll immediately see the 1950ish aprons hung by the front windows and walls. But the bar...oh man... it has this 1800ish-type saloon style to it that was amazing to look at. Miss Lucy's up their cool factor even further with a tasteful menu from beginning to end. Crusty Bread served in a galvanized tin- while hubs enjoyed the sweet butter served in a mini crock. He had the Merlot and Sarah the Bartendress whipped up for me a Passion Fruit Margarita Mocktail that was sublime with Ginger notes! Girl...thank you!!! They were all out of Kale for my Salad but I got an equally tasty heaping plate of Spinach instead- while hubs had the Bleu Cheese dressing Endive Salad to start. Music was hot with 1960s R&B throughout the night. Dinner was great on all levels- plus hubs kept saying his Medium Ribeye (with Mashed and a side of Shiitake) is the best he's had up in these neck of the woods. My Roasted Salmon was all that and a bag of chips. Another round of Merlot and a Mocktail for me was needed. But the Sweets sealed the deal. Lots of Dessert options but I went a bit left with an uncommon Black Mission Fig Tart with a scoop of Concord Grape Sorbet (also comes with a Mousse-Ice Cream scoop but passed it up). And hubs loved his Crock of Peach & Blueberry Crisp and Cassis Swirl Ice Cream. I totally dig what the Lucy's crew has pulled off. Service was so friendly from Shauna and the other ladies- plus my girl Sarah doing what she knows best at the Bar- Thank you for your Creativity!!! Lucy's is definitely worth dropping in for. Final bill? You can keep your options low or go up for the Appetizer, Drinks, Mains and Dessert. It was worth IT! Love how Lucy's has created a perfect environment for a relaxing meal in this super inviting restaurant. Whether you're hoping to have an unforgettable Brunch, Lunch or Dinner, there are also Pescatarian and Vegan options- Lucy's is a great place to spend time in! Ok this place caught me by surprise! My friends and I were in town for tennis camp and had dinner here. We LOVED this place! All pictures and positive reviews match up! The server was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We did kinda put her on the hot spot with all our questions because everything on menu looked sooooooo good. But her recommendations were on point. I had the mussels platter and felt like I made the right choice. The broth was creamy delicious and the chorizo complimented the dish so well. The desserts were good but would order it as Butterscotch Pudding, S'mores Ice Cake, then Apple Crisp (Maybe pick something else because apple crisp is basic in general). Saw some good reviews and decided to try this place. Wow, the food was absolutely amazing. We had the calamari appetizer, which was probably the best calamari we have ever had. My wife and I both had the hanger steak, also amazing. So flavorful. The waitstaff were really awesome, super friendly and attenuative. If you're visiting Saugerties, you must stop to eat here! My family and I were left so impressed by this little restaurant. It was super cozy and just so inviting. The complimentary bread was soo good. Garlic Mashed potatoes and the three cheese Mac and cheese are a must have!! I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with the cheese biscuit and hot honey which I think was by far the most delicious meal I had in this cute town. The crunch on the fried chicken was a 10/10. It wasn't too dry either it was just perfect. My boyfriend got the steak, which he really enjoyed and the rest of my family got the burger which was also delicious. Highly recommend coming here with!! So perfect for a romantic date night as well. read more

A group of us 8 decided to check out this restaurant on our trip around the areaand we were really pleased. We called earlier that day and they were able to accommodate a group of our size. We came a bit earlier than our reservation but were still seated promptly. They have a pretty extensive menu and the ambiance was home-y and warm. Amongst us all we got the French onion soup, mussels, strip steak, fried chicken, baby back ribs, halibut, pappardelle and duck confit. No one is our group had complaints. They do outdoor seating if the temperature is over 50 degrees, when we visited it was somewhere around 45, but they made an exception and brought a table out for us since we were with our dog. So thoughtful and much appreciated :) Blood orange margarita was really yummy. I got the french onion soup which hit the spot on a cold day. Stopped by on the way to Kaaterskill Falls. Got there right when they opened on a Sunday and was pretty packed by the time we left. A lot of people came from their hike to eat lunch here. I ordered the burger. It was pretty good. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked more like medium. The fries were fresh and my husband got the fried chicken with hot honey and he really liked it. This was our second visit to Miss Lucy's. We were here in 2021 , too. We had the PLT which was like a BLT but with pork belly. It had a nice sauce on it. We had it with fries. We share the same with a bowl of tomato bisque. It was creamy and tasty. Don't miss it if you like tomato bisque. The homemade lemonade complements it will. We ended with sharing mocha crème d'pot. The creamy top was awesome for both of us. I am not a fan of coffee so I didn't eat the bottom portion of the dessert. The service was good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. read more

FYI, this review is for takeout which we should all agree is not any restaurant's best showing. My boyfriend and I were in town on vacay and we both got the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Pros: 1) The hot honey had just the right amount of spice. 2) The pimento cheese. My family is from the South so this is always a winner for me. Cons: 1) The bun size overwhelms the sandwich. Ends up being too much bread and too little filling. 2) There is no brightness in the sandwich with the Mayo and the cheese. Needs maybe something pickled to break through the creaminess. 3) The fries were a little greasy. All in all, it was a middle of the road sandwich. read more

This is the first sub-par meal I have ever had here and after years of stellar experiences this one is all the more disappointing. The onion soup was good, although not really hot, and featured croutons that remained rock hard to the very end. The fried chicken was greasy, not very hot and not at all crispy. Had a wonderful meal here after walking in with no reservation on a Saturday night. The hostess was incredibly accommodating even though we were walking in about an hour before they closed for the night. We had brussel sprouts as an appetizer which were fried to perfection and served with a delicious sauce. I had the burger and my wife had the duck and we both loved our meals. We left stuffed otherwise we definitely would have had some dessert. My only critique would be that there was easily a 35 minute gap in between the appetizer and main course, which caused us to get a little impatient as we were tired and wanted to head back to our bnb, but once the food arrived and was piping hot, correct, and tasty we didn't mind the wait. The only thing missing from this cute village restaurant on top of a delicious cocktail, a solid meal, and a homemade dessert would be some live music (or any music at all). That is more expensive than anywhere near Central Park West in Manhattan where the restaurant rents are triple the price In addition the town of Saugerties , where this place is , is truly a dump. Shoddy storefronts, musky old clothing in consignment stores, locals sitting barefoot and unwashed in front of said dilated storefronts. Truly a tourist's.nightmare come true. Therefore, I suggest you try a different place than this town- Nearby Woodstock is a lot cleaner. So is Rhinebeck which is in The next county, Dutchess County. read more

This was a little gem of a place recommended by the lighthouse keeper at Saugerties lighthouse. I selected from their brunch menu a salmon eggs Benedict with potatoes & salad greens.
