Good for groups of 2-4 this chain restaurant's main selling points are its variety of BBQ sauce choices and its patriotism. It offers six BBQ sauces from different parts of the US like Kansas City, Memphis, Texas, and a few others, only missing was a mustard Carolina option. The interior has pictures of military servicemen and women which is always nice to see. I really wish the food was better. Service from the cashier was solid, and you order and pick up everything from the front. While there are certainly many other BBQ places in the city with better food there's no other BBQ place you'd rather visit around the 4th of July. read more

Very good BBQ! I had the full rack of ribs, with no sauce (I'm avoiding carbs). The meat came right off of the bone. I feel like it could have been a bit more tender, but it was delicious nonetheless. It was a Sunday lunchtime crowd, and it was lively but still had places to sit. Missions BBQ is a chain, but it is 1000% better than the last two restaurants that occupied that location (Stephanie and Warm Springs). My usual go to for ribs is Jessie Rae's BBQ on Boulder Highway, but this was closer to me, and I'm already planning on going back for lunch very soon. Like I said, it was busy. Now, here's where it gets interesting--when I went to place my order, the menu board was packed with options, and honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. I let the guy at the register know it was my first time there and that I was really looking forward to trying the food. What happened next sealed the deal for me before I even took a bite. He actually came out from behind the counter, stood beside me, and walked me through the entire menu. That kind of personal service? That's how you earn loyal customers. I ended up ordering the a la carte pulled pork and dry brisket--which, by the way, I didn't even know was a thing! I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich. It was big, meaty and was 2 meals for me. There are alot of good sauce choices to add. I also had some great collard greens which is rare on the west coast. Not moist at all and a little chewy. Flavor wasn't bad but nothing special. There are six bbq sauces at each table. They are from different states and taste nothing alike so it was fun to try them all. Service was quick and easy. Staff is friendly and welcoming. There was 8 people working the open kitchen and it's too many people. The employees were not busy so they were talking and it was loud. The place is nice and clean with plenty of seating. My co-worker wanted to try it so we did and brought back leftovers that we couldn't finish so our friends to try. Even drenched in their BBQ sauce that is no different than what you would buy a Walmart, it was still so, so dry. How do you dry out CORNBREAD like that? I'm glad the portions were small because I hate wasting food but I saw the box of food that I left for my friends at work is still sitting the break room after 3 hours. Prices are very reasonable. Order and pick up at the counter when they yell your name; no table service, but the manager circulated frequently and cheerfully took care of all our special requests. I felt like all the staff really care about and enjoy what they're doing. It's all very well organized. Delicious smoked meats done right! We love their smoked chicken and brisket! You can order order sandwiches, plates or meats alone. Service is wonderful, very quick and polite. Very reasonable prices. They don't have "tip" automatic additions when using credit cards, a welcome change from other places. Please ask them for tip jar to leave a tip for great service and food. My first visit was impressive. I've been looking for a good BBQ place near Henderson for a while and I'm always happy to try any new ones that open. This one now might be my favorite, as the ribs are moist, tender, smoky and flavorful, much better than couple other places nearby. The prices also aren't bad in comparison. We just found out about this hidden treasure in Henderson! The food is incredibly delicious! They do not use microwaves or freezers and they make everything from scratch here! The ambiance is great! Tried for the first time. We had the baby back ribs, combo brisket and sausage and a hamburger. When you arrive you go to the back of the restaurant to order your food. They then call your name when the order is ready and you pick it up at the other end of the counter. Staff are friendly and engaging. There was quite a bit of parking available outside. And ample seating inside with a military, police and fire fighters memorabilia throughout the restaurant The ribs were okay, they were dry and they didn't take the membrane piece off the underside of the ribs, so it was hard to eat. Had the baked beans as a side and cornbread was also dry, they give a slice with the meal. It would have been better had they served it with some sort of honey butter. Also the baked beans were good. The brisket was on the salty side but the jalapeño and cheese sausage were very good. The 6 different bbq sauces on each table to sample. They don't ask you how you want your burger cooked. It came out medium rare. Which for a person who likes their burger well done, it would gross you out. Prices were comparable. For 3 of us for dinner our bill was $55. The ac in the restaurant runs very very cold . It's nice to have coming in from a very HOT day, but It might be a little too cold, our food got cold right after being served. read more

Man I hate to do this but it is a must. I'll start with the only good thing about this place is the price!! It was my wife, daughter and me for only $65!! But you know the saying...you get what you pay for. We go to many new restaurants in town and they're either a "comebacker" or a "one and done". This was most def a one and done. My wife's pulled chicken sandwich was more on the dry side and didn't have much taste at all. She had to POUR a generous amount of the sauce they had on the table to get taste. Her salad, we could've made home better. My meal was the burger, with fries (not bad), then brisket (moist) and 2 ribs. The burger was a regular tasting burger but did have some smoke taste to it. And the bun was overwhelming to the point where it took over the meat itself. The brisket though moist was actually pretty moist but overkill on the fat and only a little bit of meat. Didn't have much taste either. Just regular. And the ribs?? They give you 2 but only enough meat to equal maybe 1/2 of a rib at Hogs and Tradition BBQ(which you should try out!) The collard greens was way too salty! I'll give Mission this.. the cornbread was spot on! Just wish they served it with honey and butter.
