I was sooo disappointed in the food. My first experience with the location in Valley Forge was brought to me second hand, leftovers a friend shared with me, it was delicious and flavorful. The experience at this new location really left me sad, it was like eating a dry wad of brisket with no flavor. I have heard about the place from a co-worker of mine and he recommended the place. When we first went in, there were tons of first responders pictures all over the wall (I guess this is why they r called mission BBQ). Place is self order at the counter n self seating. People were extremely friendly and cheerful. We got a sample platter with brisket and pull pork. And another platter of spare ribs. The brisket and pull pork were really good n just melt in your mouth. The cornbread was excellent as well. Spare ribs was not as good. It was on the salty side and dry. There are 6 sauces for customers to pick on the table. It was fun to try the meats with different sauces. While we enjoying our lunch, the waitress was handing out other samples for us to try! This was my first visit, I went with the pulled pork sandwich and fries to-go. The staff was super friendly. The pork is dry rubbed and does not come with sauce; you can choose from six different sauces on the side--I went with the Memphis sauce and it was perfect. The pork was very tender and tasted great. The fries were hand-cut and had a lot of salt and seasoning on them, I would have preferred them not as salty but they were still good. I'm looking forward to trying their baby back ribs next. This review is for my celiac (gluten-free for medical reasons) people. Went here on a whim last night and was blown away. First and foremost, I'm super picky about my BBQ. We move every couple years so I've sampled bbq from all over the US. This stuff was GOOD! There is so much here that is GF and they don't make you feel like a moron for asking questions about prep. Everyone there was so nice! I ordered a 3 meat sampler: Turkey, brisket, and plain sausage. They were all delicious! I was warned that the only brisket left was lean brisket and it would be a little drier. But it wasn't dry AT ALL. It was tender and flavorful! I am impressed! I also ordered cole slaw (decent- I like a sweet slaw like the kind they have at KFC best. But this was midway on sweetness) and French fries. And oh my lord the fries not only are cooked in their own fryer, but also they ARE THE GOOD KIND (darker brown with skins)!!! They are seriously delicious! I believe there's one sauce that's not GF. I had the Alabama white sauce, the classic, and Memphis Belle. The classic was absolutely fantastic but I'm a wimp with spice and even after trying to force myself to eat it, I couldn't take the heat. The Belle was a great runner up though. When your food is ready (we ordered takeout), they open the boxes and show you your food. They seem to really care about making your experience perfect. Sweet tea was delicious! When we got our food it wasn't hot at all . I was hungry so I can eat almost anything . But my girlfriend didn't even finish her plate . The brisket was decent but the pull pork was bad... cold and dry as all hell . The bbq sauce didn't add much moisture to it. I called the Marlton location tonight as I had ordered a family dinner for 10 people at a different establishment and they forgot to make it. In a panic I thought, who could accommodate this and guarantee we have a great meal... mission bbq! And I was not mistaken. The woman who answered my call, assured that I would be taken care of and even apologized that a different company disappointed us! I have NEVER been so well taken care of start to finish like this before. When I got there I had to ask her name again, Hannah. She was so kind and I got to meet Joe (I think the manager) who also went above and beyond to make sure I had everything correct in my order. I am so thankful for their kindness and incredible customer service. 10/10 would recommend this location, not to forget how incredible the food was!! Not again! First and last time. Highly overpriced! A slab of meat and nothing to go with it. Entire menu is a-la-carte and outrageously priced. The pulled pork was dry and bland - meh! The green beans looked and tasted like they were from a can with cut up soggy onions and really soggy bacon fat. My Mom and I went to this location and I was impressed as soon as we walked in. I saw the awesome support for military and Law Enforcement in the business, I proudly represent both. Anyways, the Staff were very friendly. I ordered a brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese my Ma got brisket with a sweet potato and green beans. Both of our meals were outstanding!!!! Super disappointed by the service here for delivery after regularly coming in since they've been open. They don't participate in door dash or any services so you have to call in. I tried ordering for lunch delivery but they said they didn't have drivers. So I tried again for dinner. I ordered the BBQ at 5 pm and they said they would deliver it by 6:15 pm. I get a call a few minutes later saying they didn't have drivers until 7/7:30 but I want BBQ so I say it's okay. After I said it was okay for a later delivery time, they put me on hold for a good 5-10 mins to make sure they had a driver. Sort of IRKED me that they offered a later delivery time without actually confirming to have a driver..... At 7:20 pm they called me and told me the ran out of the sausage because they had a lot of orders, but here's the thing, I put in my order at 5 pm so they ran out of sausage knowing I had already put in the order 2 hours before and then delayed my order AGAIN. They offered me the other sausage but I'm lactose so I can't eat cheese. They say it would come at 8pm now. It finally arrives at 8:06. Driver said they threw in extra sides but what they threw in...is mac and cheese (again lactose). During the process, they tout the free delivery but kept saying over and over again about the curbside pickup option which I wasn't able to do or I wouldn't order over 25 dollars to get delivery... Let me begin by saying I love the mission of Mission BBQ. An establishment that financially supports military service members like my father and grandfather is a great thing. However, the food at Mission BBQ was not a great thing. Our meals included brisket, ribs, beans, string beans, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. We were disappointed by all. Our brisket was dry and needed more flavor, and the ribs were fatty. Green beans tasted as if they had been poured from a can only seconds before they were plated, and the beans had a heavy ketchup flavor. Macaroni and cheese was cheesy, but in an off putting Velveeta like way. The cornbread was sweet and almost cake-like. I didn't like it. However, the various BBQ sauces at the table are yummy and fun to sample. The service was great. This was our first visit and the woman behind the register patiently explained how things worked and made menu suggestions. Our food arrived quickly and the server was friendly. The decor is nicely done. The walls are adorned with patches and pics of local service branches. They provided good conversation while we waited for our food to arrive. Ugh, I love this place. I've been here probably close to 10 times since it opened, which was a month ago. The first few times I got the meat trio. So I've had all five meats that they offer. I always get it moist, not lean. The Brisket is exceptional and really melts in your mouth. Secondly, I like the pork, then turkey, then sausage then chicken. As for the sauces, they have six but my two favorite are the KC and Texas. Baby Back ribs: They're insane. They legitimately come right off of the bone. You don't need sauce because they're so tasteful and seasoned perfectly. Chicken: They have a bird chicken. It is basically a seasoned and smoker big rotisserie chicken. I've been to this place twice since it opened and it's been packed both times but with that said the line moves quick and I was able to get a table to eat in both times. Their meats are good but my favorite part is the selection of bbq sauces. The portions are big so you can try as many as the sauces you want during a meal. I also really like their sides. Their Mac and cheese is decent, not the best but not the worst. But the green beans and baked beans, oh my, I could eat those green beans with every meal. Great addition to the area. My favorite BBQ place in NJ. Food is fast, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is 2nd to none. Super patriotic. I'm military at McGuire and really buy into what they're doing here. Came here on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty packed. The line to order did move rather quickly and we didn't wait too long for our food. I ordered the ribs with mac and cheese, my boyfriend ordered the grilled shrimp with fries and cole slaw, and we ordered the pulled pork to share. The orders came with corn bread, which ended up being my favorite thing. I really enjoyed the ribs and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, I was not a big fan of the pulled pork. I did, however, LOVE the variety of BBQ sauces that they have on the tables for you to try. My favorite was the smokey mountain sauce. There is still so much more I'd like to try. I was hesitant about trying mission because I don't typically like the order and go type food places, but we were driving by Sunday and hungry so we decided to stop in. After looking over the menu a little; I decided to get the three meat sampler, but I wanted to try the salmon so opted for that as one of the meats with a 4.50 upcharge. All the sides are a la Carte, but they have combos where you can add them as well. The salmon was good, not excellent, but edible. The brisket was really good and the shrimp was probably my favorite(keep in mind, it's here for a limited time. I got the cole slaw on the side and that was also really good. My meal came to 23 dollars, which was a little steep for a fast food like place. However, they gave generous portions of food, too much to eat in one sitting. When you got to your table there are six different kinds of sauces so I made it my point to try every one. What I liked about mission is their "mission" to support veterans and police.
