Mission BBQ has hands down some of the best service out there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. After you pick up your order, the staff walks around and makes sure you got everything you need. We had the brisket, pulled pork, maggies mac n cheese, cheesy potatoes, and the cheesecake. This is a go to for us. We stop here almost every single time we see it. The lean brisket is my fave with a side salad(delish Italian dressing) and Mac and cheese. I go to this mission barbecue a couple of times a month for takeout. My experience has been that the food is fairly consistent and tasty, not the best barbecue, but certainly not the worst. I visited yesterday for takeout, which was a Friday about 430 and was a bit disappointing. I got the two meat special with turkey and regular sausage and I added the extra large combo with a drink and two sides. I chose mac & cheese for one side and corn on the cob for the other. The turkey was rather dry. It looks like it had been left from lunchtime rush. The sausage was better the portions on both the sausage and the turkey or rather small 3.8 ounces which when you consider the cost of $13.19 for the two meat platter without the sides it is a bit pricey. The mac & cheese was good as usual. I also got a banana pudding, which was delicious. However, the corn on the cob was a total disappointment and should've never been served, see the photo attached. Half of the cob was not edible. The two sides and a drink cost an additional seven dollars and at that price point you would expect the highest quality. It does appear to be a one off. Usually the quality is much better. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean. read more

The military ambiance with country music playing in the background and the various patriotic decorations added to that military-theme atmosphere. I love this place. I went last night with my birthday coupon for a free sandwich. I ordered the chopped beef brisket sandwich (normally $10.50) with two sides and a drink for $5.00. My sides were baked beans and peach cobbler. Everything was so good! Molly came by to check on us to see how we liked the food and we started chatting she was super nice. I've been to Mission BBQ three times in the last six months. First let me say that their mission of honoring veterans and first responders is a wonderful thing. They are to be commended for that. But their Q is so-so. Not bad, just so-so. Ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken were dry. There are better Q restaurants and pop-ups that you can go to. By all means hit up Mission BBQ to support their mission but after that, if you want quality Q, there are better options. read more

This was my second trip to Mission BBQ, the first of which being several years ago. Admittedly I was less than impressed with my first visit - however, the second visit was pretty decent. This visit was take-out only, which Mission BBQ seems to d a good job at Adapting to the pandemic. First, they have several spots long side the side of the building reserved just for to-go orders. The process is simple, call your order in, pay over the phone & they ask the color/make/model of your car. They advised very clear sly how long it would take so there was no guessing. Then when I arrived, I did not even have to notify them, instead they monitor the take-out spots and bring the food out according the car you told them, then just verify your name. Very easy. Great way to do curb-side. As for the food, I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich w/ BBQ beans and coleslaw; this particular sandwich came pre marinated in sauce, which the person taking my ordered made sure I was aware of before I completed my order. My wife ordered pulled pork sandwich w/ Fries and Mac/cheese. She said her meal was tasty and especially liked the Mac & Cheese. B/C we were not really familiar with Mission's various sauces (they have several) I asked for them to put a sampling in the bag, which they were mor than happy to do. They all had a nice flavor to them....a good variety of everything from tangy to mustard-based. My brisket sandwich meat was a tiny-bit on the dry-side if I am being critical, but not overly dry to where it wasn't good.. The beans had a nice smoky flavor to them, I enjoyed them. Typically I feel the need to add BBQ sauce to beans, but these did not need it. I tend to like a wet Cole-slaw and this was not really all that wet, but it did have a good flavor to it. I was driving on the 417 and saw a billboard for this place and I have been looking for a BBQ place other than Four Rivers. The hubby and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. The place is set up like Four Rivers. You order and they call your name. The menu is BBQ favs, pulled pork, chicken, brisket, sausage, mac n cheese, collard greens, baked beans etc. It was our first time so we were taking awhile to order and the cashier Desiree offered that we sample everything! So she brought us lean brisket. Moist brisket, pulled chicken and sausage to try! Wow we were amazed...great customer service! My husband loved the moist brisket and ordered that with the pulled chicken. I ordered the pulled chicken as well with collard greens and mac n cheese. The sausage wasnt that great, tasted like a hotdog. I also came here because I saw that they has banana pudding ! Unfortunately it is seasonal and not on the menu during the Fall. Butttt after we sat down the manager, Amy, surprised me with banana pudding that they had for a catering event! Again, 5 star customer service! The food was great as well! Brisket and chicken were moist. Comparable to four rivers. Mac n Cheese and Collard Greens could be better but they weren't bad. Baked beans and cornbread were delicious, as well as the banana pudding! Not yo mamas, but not banana pudding mix either. I could tell it was homemade. Another manager, Marla stopped by our table and was very friendly as well. She offered more samples of the pulled pork, which was excellent and gave us more cornbread, which we loved. The Brisket Sandwich is packed full of delicious brisket, and Mission BBQ does not skimp on the meat, this was served with Brisket Baked beans with large chunks of brisket and french fries. The Ribs are no joke here either, they literally fell right off the bone, and didn't need any extra BBQ sauce. Every meal is served with a side if sweet cornbread, and on this order of RIbs, my dining guest ordered the Brisket Baked Beans and a side of Collards, which are seasonal. I'm not usually a fan of pulled chicken, as it tends to be dry, but Mission BBQ does it right with a very flavorful and moist pulled chicken. This was served with Collards and Green Beans & Bacon. I went with the XXL Combo with Brisket, Pulled Pork and Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage with a side of Maggies Mac & Cheese and Brisket Baked Beans. This was enough for a meat coma, and it was all delicious. The brisket can be ordered wet or dry, and I went with the more flavorful portions of brisket ordered wet. The corn bread was moist and very tasty. Our party also got chicken, ribs and salmon. I really dislike salmon but that salmon was wonderful. Came here today for lunch and it was Veterans Day. They offered vets a free meal and even had a remembrance table set up. My food came out rather quickly and served by friendly people! I got the 2 meat combo pulled pork & pulled chicken with corn on the cob. They have 6 different sauces on the table plus 2 more up by the soda machine. They have a white sauce behind the counter, you have to ask for it. The corn was very good, you can tell it was fresh. Onto the meat, the chicken had a smoky flavor and it was tender. The pulled pork was good too, had some bark on it and good flavor. Tried too many sauces, didn't care for the gator sauce too citrus for me. They have cop patches as decor on the walls. We have been to this location many times since it opened. After today, we may never go back. My "brisket" sandwich was more like a beef jerky sandwich. The meat was so tough and overcooked I couldn't bite into it or cut it with a sharp steak knife. It was definitely not their usual best. I couldn't eat half of the meat. I had to pick my food apart to find some that I could eat! I haven't had to pick at my food since I was 5! Thoroughly disappointed. It's sad because it's not a cheap meal. This place is the best bbq I have ever had! I got the pulled pork and it had such a good flavor that I could it it on its own but the sauces were amazing as well. I also had collard greens which were very flavorful. They give you very large portions so I would recommend getting your meat with only one side. The customer service here is the best I have ever experienced, the two ladies in the floor asked of if it was our first time and they were very excited that my brother had been before and brought us to try it. And at the end of our meal the very nice lady brought my family out two free banana puddings for us to try because my brother brought us in!
