Oviedo-Not a huge BBQ foodie, BUT... I might've just changed my mind after visiting this place! You would never assume that Mission BBQ was a chain restaurant. The minute you walk in, you are overwhelmed with true patriotism and the wonderful smell of smoked meat. I loved the decor of this place! Upon seeing my inability to make a decision about sides, the gal behind the counter offered to let me taste the potato salad and the coleslaw so I could make a qualified choice! She informed me that everything was homemade. The potato salad was absolutely delicious, but had a "bite" at the end. I decided that the coleslaw was the way to go. Really delicious. My lunch mate assured me that the mac & cheese was absolutely amazing as well. (Next time!!) I chose pulled pork. I don't eat barbecue sauce, so I was happy to find out that it is just pulled pork and no sauce. The pork was out of this world. Crispy, moist, & perfectly shredded, along with a yummy piece of cornbread and my order of coleslaw...DELICIOUSNESS overload! Definitely would love to bring my family the next time I visit. A huge PLUS was the fact that every day at noon the entire restaurant, including staff, stops to stand at attention for the national anthem. WOWZA!! Loved the patriotism and love for our military and law-enforcement.

The three meats platter is excellent. I think my favorite meat was the brisket. Great bark, tender, and an overall great taste!

Mission BBQ is always yummy, so we decided to trust them to cater our backyard wedding. It was intimate, so we ordered for 10 people. We placed the order over a month in advance, which was nice. For just under $300 with tax and tip, we chose the XL party pack. We went with pulled chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. For sides, we chose baked beans, Mac and cheese, and green beans. For the bread, we went with the sliders and cornbread combo. The Florida Gator bite sauce paired perfectly. We were even given a variety of other sauces as well, in smaller portions. We had enough food left for 5-7 more people, which was great for leftovers. Everything was phenomenal! The Mission BBQ catering and in store teams were both great to work with. Can't recommend enough!

I came here around lunch hour and it was a full house but I must of came right on time because the line was at least nice and dead. I was craving some good yummy bbq and this place did a good job of fulfilling my craving. I got the beef brisket sandwich moist and it was soo delicious even without needing the sauce -mhm! They smoked it just right and they got a big smoker you can see right in their big open kitchen - I like that set up - lets ya know you can trust where its coming from. I ordered the bbq beans and fries as my side but now looking at the Mac and cheese, I really should have went for that alone! The fries were nice and crunchy, could have used them more hot and off the press but still ate most of them because they were just slightly cold. The beans were alright too, I like a bit more sweetness flavor but still yummy nevertheless. They also have so many different sauces won't even try to name each one but if you're a fan of bbq itself this would be your place. I was also into their homage to vets and the like staying true to their name. Service was also very kind and helpful. Il check back on that Mac soon!

Super great visit. Took a veterans wife for lunch and to see her husband's picture on the wall. Thank you Mission BBQ for doing this. He's been gone a few years now and she really enjoyed lunch as if he was having lunch with us. The server Kristin was SUPER fantastic. She could tell this was emotional for us and was so kind. Oviedo has the best, most-caring staff. Thank you. We very much enjoyed the noon ceremony singing our National Anthem.

Wonderful customer service and delicious BBQ. The sides are also so yummy; our favorites are the Mac and cheese and the fries. I do wish they had some sort of combo deal for if you get a side and a drink, because the prices do add up quickly. The place has plentiful seating and they lean hard into the military theme. Always nice and clean inside.

This is Oviedo's hidden treasure! The brisket is amazing (seriously - 4 Rivers and Bubbalou's…read moreshould be worried). It just fell apart in your mouth and had such a delicious flavor. I had the smaller bowl (1 meat and 2 sides) and it was enough to feed me for 2 meals. OMG the beans! There were 3 or 4 types of beans in it and it was incredibly hard to not gobble them all down instead of saving some for my hubby to try at home. My friend had the cornbread casserole which she said is her favorite side after the beans (I'm GF so I couldn't have that but I wanted to!). Another friend had the Bbq brisket sandwich with potato salad and she said the potato salad was really tasty. Just so you know - this is a very small restaurant. No inside seating, just picnic tables outside. (Some are shaded.) There is an area outside to wash your hands after eating and you can download their app and order online which gets you $5 off your meal (that's a good deal) but even without a discount, the food is worth every penny and the portions are generous.

It was ready when I pulled up to the lot adjacent to the BBQ restaurant. There is outside seating only and a sink to clean up afterwards. I went in and my food was ready. I opened it and was checking for the extra pickles which were an option in the app. The person who handed me the food said that they had not had pickles in some time because they were having issues with the supplier. Darn. So I decided to eat my pulled pork sandwich at the picnic tables outside. Actually the tables are not that far from the road where cars and trucks whizzed by. I went back and asked for more bbq sauce because I got two small cups of bbq sauce which had about 3 tablespoons of liquid each. Pulled pork always sucks up a lot of sauce. There was plenty of meat and the bun was fresh but overall it would have been perfect with some acid from the pickles. My brisket and rib meal was excellent. I ate it later and I found the southern green beans to be good. I would definitely get this combo again. It came with a drink which is a canned soft drink. It doesn't say on the app but they also have bottled water. Overall I felt this restaurant lived up to all the hype. Check the app for $5 off on your first order. See QR code in the picture.

This location is located near UCF and I don't know how busy it tends to get when school is in, but on the day we went it was not too busy. It started to get busy when we left with the lunch rush. This location is actually big so there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered brisket, baked beans, corn and cornbread. I'll be honest, I remember the food being better but it wasn't bad. Their brisket was good and I actually really like their baked beans and cornbread. All in all, pleasant quick experience with a friendly staff. Place was well kept and clean. Most recently I went in to grab food to go. I walked up to the line where you order and I had to wait for two employees to finish their personal conversation before they acknowledged me. I told them what I wanted and they passed my paper to the cashier. I was a little confused because I was getting brisket and they did not ask how I wanted it (lean, moist, etc) so I asked if I was supposed to go to the cashier or stay with the people making my food. I got a little bit of an attitude from the employee who said to go to the cashier. I ordered sliders by the way, I haven't ordered them in a while so maybe you don't get a choice on type of brisket if you get sliders? Not sure. I paid and waited for my order to get finished (never told them how I wanted my brisket) and the cashier handed me my bag. I looked inside, no utensils, no sauce, no napkins. I asked for sauce and she grabbed a handful and dropped it into my bag like I was bothering her. I figured I was asking too much to ask for napkins so I stopped at a table and grabbed some paper towels from one of the rolls. Finally get to where i'm able to eat. I used to get the sliders all the time so I was excited! You get a variety and they're big sliders, like hefty! Boy was i disappointed when I opened my to-go box. The portion of meat was atleast half of what i've gotten in the past and for my pork slider it was maybe 1/3 of the meat it usually is. I ended up taking the top part of the slider bun off and eating them like open faced sandwiches because otherwise there would have been more bread than meat. Overall, 4Rivers is one of my favorite BBQ spots, I love the Messy Pig and the Six Shooter and all their desserts! I really hope I just went on off days and this isn't the new norm for 4R!
