Stunning work from top to bottom. The food, lighting, drinks, and service were exceptional.

Second time in mission ceviche in USQ. The place is clean, big and modern. The bar seats go quickly for happy hour. We ordered from both happy hour and regular menus as happy hour doesn't have ceviche, which is a must order here. We did do 2 rounds of excellent pisco sours at $12 each which is not bad. These were expertly shaken, smooth and right amount of egg white. Fried seafood was a bit of a miss (chewy) but everything else fresh was tasty.

Had really high hopes for the food here and left pretty underwhelmed. Will start off with the good. Ambiance is gorgeous and our waiter had a really in depth knowledge of the menu which was helpful in our decision making. Now the food...We ordered the classic ceviche and it took about 30 minutes to come out. The best part about it was the tiger's milk. It came with plantain chips but certainly not enough for the serving and a lot of them were soggy from sitting in the liquid. For my entree I had the Aji de Gallina. Solid portion size but the flavor was off putting to me. It was my first time having the dish so I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to taste but my immediate thought was that something in the sauce was spoiled. I would not order it again. Separately, as I mentioned, it's a really beautiful dining room so I was shocked when they allowed the party next to us to have two dogs at their table.

If you considered to go to Mission Ceviche, I would strongly recommend to reconsider. At least I won't go there a next time even though they gave me a birthday voucher for a free drink next time. Okay, let me elaborate: for my birthday, party of five nice happy people. Reception ok, ambiance cool, food actually excellent: seafood mixto, ceviche Nikkei, yuca fries, lomo saltado, branzino, pollo a la Brasa. But rudeness cannot be compensated, no matter how good the food is. Barely taking the last swipe off the plate, mouth still full, the plates were pulled (similar to the carpet being pulled from underneath your feet), followed by one of the supervisors in no uncertain terms telling us that they needed the table and that we could/should move to the basement. Thank you for that offer, but there is something called pride that doesn't go well with such an unpleasant birthday present. Too bad. Won't go there anymore. And you shouldn't either. They may get better if there are bot to many patrons. And there are plenty of excellent restaurants that also have a prime decorum.

The experience is not worth it. Came here mostly to try the mixed seafood ceviche and it was not good. There were bones and tendons in some of the pieces of fish and the mix of seafood that was in the dish was 1 piece of each item listed maybe 2. There was 1 shrimp cut into 3 pieces, 2 tiny scallops, 2 tiny pieces of octopus and 3 pieces of fish for $34, it wasn't even tasty besides the scallops. Felt like a scam overall. The only redeeming item that we tried was actually the torched salmon belly, everything else seemed to fall short. The 12 hour braised short rib somehow was overcooked and didn't fall apart. I was super disappointed because it didn't even seem like it was braised for an hour, let alone 12, again scammed by marketing. Not going back again even though the server was knowledgeable.

Best ceviche I've ever had in my LIFE. And I've had ceviche in the Caribbean and Florida and all the tropical places. There's a reason this restaurant is so acclaimed. Wow, it shattered my entire universe. Now that I've had this nothing will ever be the same and the service and atmosphere is immaculate. Check out Ceviche Mondays for half off and you'll thank me later.

We decided to try a new spot for lunch and ended up in Mission Ceviche. This place is a hit or miss. They are known for their ceviches but we didn't order them and chose to order off their brunch menu instead and they were unfortunately a miss even tho they were recommended by our waitress. ORDERED: Steak and egg Peruvian egg Benedict Cappuccino Lemonade This is a walk-in restaurant. The ambiance is upscale and it's not pack at all. I didn't like how they don't have much non-alcoholic drink option. 3.5 starts rounded up to 4.

Yuca fries were so good! Classic ceviche was average. I remember it being better at their Canal St. market location. I sat at bar and the bartender was attentive and provided great service. Very cute location!

We visited Mission Ceviche Union Square for dinner, having made a reservation in advance. The decor inside was gorgeous for the holiday season. They had beautiful garlands and ornaments hanging around the bar, and a whole display of hanging plants in the middle of the restaurant. We arguably got the worst seat in the house (first little table by the door/host stand), but it was still nice enough. For drinks, I ordered a glass of Malbec and my sister got the Harajuku Girl cocktail. Both were fantastic! The Harajuku Girl was especially well-crafted, with a strong passionfruit flavor. What I wasn't impressed with was unfortunately our server. First, he gave my partner a hard time about not ordering alcohol. Then, when we ordered our food to share, he told us it wasn't enough for the three of us. When we asked what else he would recommend, he just listed off the three most expensive items on the menu. I told him we could just order more if we were still hungry, and he told me no - this was the "last and only chance" to put in food. We didn't appreciate the upsell tactics, especially at an already pricy restaurant. He also didn't come back to check on us after that, until it was time to pay. The food items we ordered were the Ceviche Nikkei, Lima Roll, Lomo Saltado, and Sweet Plantains. The Ceviche Nikkei was tasty but tiny and tasted more like a crudo than ceviche I've tried before. The fish was pretty fresh though. The Lima Roll was alright, but pretty forgettable. I usually love Peruvian sushi, but this one was nothing special. The Lomo Saltado here was also not my favorite. I'm used to this dish being more of a stir fry with veggies, but this was basically a piece of steak in soy sauce. What really redeemed all the other items were the Sweet Plantains. They were perfectly cooked with goat cheese nata on top, and the sweet/salty combination was incredible. Overall, this expensive dinner didn't blow me away, but I did love the drinks, plantains, and ambiance.

This was a great spot. My mom date recommended and it was a hit. Pleasant staff, cool ambiance, lots of options to choose from. I had some white wine to start the night off, yucca fries to ease into it, and branzino as my main. All were great. Yucca fries were heavy on the cheese which I didn't love, but it actually tasted good. Branzino was filling and worth it! Totally satisfied and on my list of places to return to.

I've had this in my bookmarks for a lil bit and finally was able to partake when a friend came in from London. I was not disappointed! We went for brunch on a Saturday. I made reservs but opted to sit at the bar. They wanted to put us next to another party when there were other tables available. I'm sure the reason was accommodate the server to not have people spread out so far and make their job easier. I do believe we were meant to sit at the bar, b/c the bartender was awesome!! The restaurant was open, pretty, and bright. Good for a dinner date w/ your person or friends. The bar area won me over b/c they had chairs with backs! It's the little things...LOL! For food, we didn't stray to far b/c we were so hungry experimenting was out of the question. We both got the steak & eggs a lo pobre. SOOOOOO good. I did leave w/ leftovers and had the rest for dinner. I had one of the Peruvian cocktails. This place will definitely see me again!

Peruvian place that as the name suggest specializes in ceviches. LOVE how it looked inside i would 100% come back for a small group occasion like a birthday or any other celebration. The food was really good too!! They start off where these free salted half-popped(??) corn nut things (lol i actually couldn't tell exactly what it was) which was seasoned so simply yet nicely but also had a VERY dry and crumbly texture. House Ceviche was just okay but i REALLY liked the other one we got, the combination of the green tomatoes(?) + ceviche was soooooooo refreshing and good. Everything else we got was also really yummy but the fries were not my vibe, too thickly cut and couldn't really tell what they were supposed to taste like lol. Some novelties: photographer going around who took our photo despite the fact that we had just gotten back from the gym + towards the end of our meal the entire restaurant was given free rose shots and the workers asked volunteers to try kicking a soccer ball into a goal for free champagne LMAOOOOOO.

I love Peruvian x Japanese. This may not be the best in New York, but it's solid. They need to do something about the noise, it was a bit insane. But the food was delicious - particularly the classic ceviche, lomo and corn cake.

I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Fish Cheeks in NoHo is my go-to destination for high-end, innovative Thai food in New York City…read more The restaurant takes a decidedly contemporary approach to Thai cuisine, with a menu that highlights bold regional flavors rather than the familiar, standardized dishes found at many American Thai restaurants. The happy hour menu is excellent, and the cocktail program is equally creative. On my most recent visit, I tried the Nam Gin Martini--unusual, beautifully balanced, and delicious. If you're dining solo, I recommend sitting at the bar, where the talented bartenders are happy to offer excellent mixology advice. There are several dishes I especially recommend. The Zabb Wings are crispy fried chicken wings tossed in a spicy, tangy dry rub of toasted rice powder, chili, lime, and mint. They're intensely flavorful and highly addictive. The Steamed Whole Fish is another standout: a whole branzino swimming in a vibrant, intensely aromatic broth of fresh chili, lime, mint, garlic, and culantro. The pork belly with chili and garlic is another dish worth ordering if you're looking for something rich, spicy, and deeply savory. Fish Cheeks was founded in 2016 by Thai immigrants--brothers Chef Ohm and Chat Suansilphong, along with Jenn Saesue and Pranwalai Kittirattanawiwat. The restaurant was born from their frustration with the homogenized "one-page" menus that dominated American Thai dining, which often centered on sweeter, standardized dishes such as Pad Thai and Massaman curry. Even the name reflects the restaurant's philosophy. The fish cheek is considered one of the most tender, flavorful, and prized parts of the fish in many Asian culinary traditions. When Fish Cheeks opened at 55 Bond Street, the team famously adopted a strict "no Pad Thai" policy, encouraging diners to explore regional Thai specialties and seafood dishes such as crab curries and whole steamed fish. It was a bold gamble that paid off, earning critical acclaim, including recognition from The New York Times. In 2022, Executive Chef Dustin Everett, formerly of Momofuku Ssam Bar and Pig & Khao, took over the kitchen, introducing seasonal dishes while preserving many of the restaurant's signature favorites. The experience extends beyond the food. Fish Cheeks plays contemporary Thai pop music, giving the restaurant a lively, distinctly modern atmosphere. It feels energetic without losing its connection to Thai culture. One important thing to know: this is not the restaurant for you if you're looking for Pad Thai. Fish Cheeks is about pushing beyond the familiar and discovering the bold, complex flavors of Thai regional cooking. The restaurant is popular, especially during peak dining hours, so reservations are highly recommended. Sitting at the bar for a cocktail and a few dishes or settling in for a full meal with friends, I always find Fish Cheeks to be one of my favorite places in NoHo for adventurous, sophisticated Thai food.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste.
