I had pretty high expectations for this place, but unfortunately the food was a big disappointment The Happy Hour oysters were reasonably priced, but about a third had a noticeable fishy taste. The Sangria had a strange tap-water-like taste, and the Parmesan Fries were dry, astringent, and tasted like they had been refried The Yellowtail Tartare was one of the few dishes I enjoyed, with an interesting combination of coconut milk, chili oil, scallion oil and tobiko, although the portion was very small The Cherry Pepper Brick Chicken arrived barely warm and had an extremely soft, mushy texture. I came for the restaurant week dinner. At $45 it's a great deal because you're getting regular menu items that would end up being $60+. I've been here multiple times and this time seemed to be the yummiest (or maybe I was just extra hungry). I also noticed that they took prior feedback into consideration. I shared the food with my friend so we got: curry mussels, burrata salad, chili lobster roll, crispy branzino, thai milk cake, and coconut mango sorbet Curry mussels were so good. They gave a lot of mussels that were all large and plump. The curry broth wasn't too spicy or salty. It was very comforting and savory. The sourdough was well toasted without rough edges, and inside was chewy. It was perfect to soak up the curry with. Burrata salad was less special but it was nice to have a contrasting freshness and tartness with the curry mussels. Appreciate how they used arugula since we're still unsure about eating lettuce. Chili lobster roll had a kick from the chili oil but not overly spicy and hot. It wasn't too oily and heavy either. The tempura flakes gave good texture without adding too much weight, but I think I would prefer slightly less. I love scallion so it's great they used it here. The side salad was arugula too! Crispy branzino was indeed crispy despite having veggies piled on top of it. The greens here are similar to the burrata salad's mix. They're dressed already so there wasn't a strong need for the separate vinaigrette though I still drizzled it for the extra flavor. Thai milk cake tasted so good! I remember having it in the past thinking it was too sweet and dreading to finish it even when it was shared with my friend. This time it was NOT TOO SWEET. I appreciate the tea strength too. I literally drank up the remaining milk tea after eating the cake. The cake wasn't too mushy after the soak. I wish there was less cinnamon, but my friend on the other hand was ok with it. Coconut mango sorbet was less interesting to me. The flavors felt muted compared to the thai milk cake. The sorbet itself was in a "crumble" texture which made me wonder if they used liquid nitrogen or something. The coconut came in shreds too which ended up being tough and not sweet. Maybe they can use toasted flakes instead. Overall everything tasted good. It's nice seeing how most dishes had mango in it. I was seated at the bar, where the bartender provided service quickly and efficiently. The bartender was EXTREMELY KIND to everyone. Fantastic experience at Sagaponack for dinner. Unfortunately we missed the happy hour specials as we arrived at 6:30pm however my friend was able to grab a drink from hh before it ended. First the restaurant is cozy it has two floors we were seated at the back on the first floor. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, oyster (east and west coast), shishito peppers, gambas from apps and two mains to share, the seafood pasta and the octopus polenta. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious! I cannot comment on the oysters because I am preggie again with our 2nd baby however my friends said they were very fresh. I loved the flavors and the seafood pasta has a wonderful spicy kick to it! And we were all saying how amazing the octopus was! Excellent great portion too. We asked our server to break out our courses so the food arrives in multiple courses. Boy did they really do that! We ended up staying at the restaurant for 3 hours! Chatting and catching up. And the service did not once ask us to leave or anything! I love restaurants that respect this. The service was excellent! I've had Sagaponack on my list to try for five years and I finally got the chance to come for dinner. We made a reservation a few days in advance and it's good that we did since it was pretty busy on Friday at 6pm. I think they have an incredible happy hour (it goes until 6:30pm Monday through Saturday which is pretty generous) and they have $1 oysters from Peconic Bay, NY. There's two floors as well as bar seating and table seating. I liked sitting near the entrance with a view outside the restaurant. Our server was very friendly and helped us narrow down our entree picks. From the happy hour menu, we ordered the oysters and shishito peppers (the oysters were small but that's expected and the shishito peppers were SOOO good). For entrees, we shared the gochujang seafood pappardelle and the branzino. I thought the branzino dish was AMAZING. From the roasted cherry tomatoes to the creamy mushroom orzo to the grilled asparagus to the steaming hot branzino, this dish was one to remember. The gochujang noodles were fine, but just not as good as the branzino in my opinion. I will def be back to try other things on the menu like their crab roll! read more

I started with this place and for the small bites I had I'm glad I came. It's a nice quiet place looks small in the front but once you walk to the back it's a more open layout! The oyster happy hour is absolutely worth it, the oysters were fresh and clean, and the oyster and shrimp combo was a standout. I had a lovely Galentine's dinner on Valentine's Day with a bestie of mine. We had hoped for bar seats, but made a reservation thought the restaurant through Resy to ensure that we would have seats at all. The bar was full at 5:30pm, so we kept our table seat after all and had a very nice time. The vibe was great! The staff was pleasant and attentive and the head chef himself came out with a few complimentary hors d'oeuvres for an extra special treat that he passed around to tables himself! I was also impressed that despite the holiday they did not cancel HH (and HH is at tables and not only at the bar), so we had some HH drinks and a dozen delicious HH $1 oysters and then moved on and had a chili lobster roll (served warm) and a crab roll (served cold). All in all we had a wonderful time and on a budget, no less. Cocktails were just $9 for HH and beer and wine & prosecco are just $5! The prosecco was a little disappointing at what appeared to be a 4oz pour, but it was good and for $5 it's hard to complain and I'm definitely not taking away a star for that since 4oz is actually a standard pour and you are lucky to get anything above it (although most places do about 5oz pours for wine and prosecco). I reserved a couples dinner for Valentine's day dinner here. It was 6 course prefix menu for only $75, was the best deal in Flatiron area. Upon arrival I found street parking right in front of the restaurant, after 6pm parking is free on 22nd street. Upon entry saw the huge bar. The tables were at the back. They had setup a nice photoshoot backdrop for V-day. One of the waitresses was a professional videographer who took everyone's pictures. The dinner started with pair of Oysters. They were got some tartare, ravioli and more oysters. Those all looked visually amazing, had great taste. Then we got the octopus that was best dish of the night. Finally there was shrimp/steak risotto, another tasty dish. The dinner ended with chocolate cake and ice cream. Some of the dishes took a long time probably because it was a busy night, but we didn't mind. Our server and rest of the staff were super friendly and courteous. They even gave us valentine's goodie bags at the end of dinner. Because I had changed my reservation time, I was charged twice. But after notifying them, they assured me I'd get my refund. Went for Valentine's Day special menu. It's a set menu no substitutions. Upon arrival, the greeter was very friendly and showed us the table. They had a backdrop and a staff with DL camera and ring light. They really made the date special. The menu was with 3 cold dishes (raw food), 3 hot dishes and a dessert.
