A great experience overall. Would make a great date night. I went with a group. They made my friend a custom menu for the plates we ordered for her birthday. The sangria was good. My favorite thing of the night was the fish. I believe it was bass? Cooked to perfection. The octopus was also very delicious!!! Everything was yummy and came out promptly!

Beautiful and intimate spot with even equally delicious tapas, desserts and cocktails! Service is accommodating and warm but never intrusive or hurried! Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. The space was perfect to meet up for a first date, a friends outings or just a date night with your bae.

Ambiance: 5/5. Modern, trendy, cozy, cool Service: 5/5. No complaints Food: 3/5: patatas were excellent. They were fried to perfection and the cream sauce with caviar enhanced the flavor, also had a nice kick. The toast with tomato was solid. Had a nice crunch but was a little sour. The steak was meh - for the price would have wanted something more fresh. The cheesecake was also meh - it looks amazing but the flavor and texture wasn't as good as I was hoping.

Amazing service. Everything came out within 10 minutes of ordering it felt like. The ambiance is nautical and datey. Food was incredible - well seasoned and everything had a unique flavor. My fiance and I came here for date night and it did NOT disappoint. Everything was perfect.

Came here to celebrate my anniversary and actually found it on Resy first. It was a perfect spot for a date night or celebration. Staff were nice and attentive and the vibe was truly warm and cozy. My bf and I ordered the Pulpo (octopus) and it was cooked to perfection with a slight charred taste. I ordered the pollo (chicken) which was amazing juicy and paired well with the greens. Had a wonderful time here and would love to come back. 10/10

We had a reservation for 4 at 6 pm on a Tuesday. They had a few drinks on happy hour at the bar when we arrived. The back garden was lovely when the weather was nice and the roof was retracted. Garden was near empty when we got there but full when we left. Sangria was a bit bitter for me but everyone else liked it. Tapas came out incredibly fast! And they being them out as they're ready which is nice. Some favorites were the daily specials (croquetas, empanadas, steak skewers over chicken peas) hanger steak and the octopus. Would come back.

Small entryway leading into quaint, dark cubbyholes. Quite a romantic spot. From the host to the servers, service was very consistent. As for food, while the items read well on paper we unfortunately weren't impressed with the quality. The Iberico was so tough, leathery even, that it was very unpleasant to the palate. In my opinion, inedible. Croquetas of the day, once served presented well with its crisp looking exterior but had a very soft interior. It was like potatoes being put through a ricer. Potato Ricing gives you velvety smooth mashed potatoes, but to me a consistency not meant to be in a croquette...way too soft. Sadly, not aware that the croquetas were going to be full on potatoes with hardly any protein, we had another potato dish, the Patatas Bravas Mariners. These were the singular half decent item. The potatoes were crisp, but the aioli overpowered them and the 'caviar'. We've definitely had much better elsewhere. On a positive note, the atmosphere and company was the highlight of this romantic dinner date. Would we come back? Regrettably, no. But very appreciative of the thoughtfulness and efforts made to create this memorable experience. Ambiance - 5 Food - 2

Salina's is an upscale, intimate Spanish restaurant and bar. My friends and I went on a Wednesday night without a reservation and they were fully booked but able to fit us in at a table. We tried a few of their dishes including the pan tumaca, which was basically a tomato or bruschetta-like spread on sour dough. Berenjena - was an eggplant dish which was baked with bread crumbs on top. The croquetas have beef in them and were the most flavorful dish. Pulpo con cenizas is an octopus dish, which I surprisingly really liked. It was prepared very well with a smoky char, and extremely tender. I usually don't like octopus, but this was delicious. And lastly the entraña , which was the hanger steak with a side salad. It was prepared medium and was extremely tender and juicy. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and chocolate flan, which is pictured. I would recommend the chocolate flan, which is a special and tasted more like chocolate mousse, rich and delicious! Only downside was that portions for tapas and apps are small so meant for 2 people to share ideally. Overall a great meal and about $100 per person with drinks.

First and foremost, loved the ambience. It was like having romantic dinner inside of a dimly lit greenhouse. This is a tapas style place so we ordered various dishes including the salad, croquettas, steak skewers and noodle paella. As for me, the noodle paella was the most memorable! Staff was also fast and attentive. This place did not disappoint. I will gladly come back here!

What a hidden gem! Except maybe it was just hidden to me? I've walked by Salinas a million times, but I never thought twice about its unassuming exterior and simple neon blue sign. We wandered in on a rainy Thursday evening, because my bf was craving patatas bravas and Tia Pol was full, and we were taken aback by how large and cute this restaurant was! It was very busy, but we were able to be seated by the bar and then graciously upgraded to a table in the front room when a reservation didn't show up. The bar room was a little noisy, with a live dj, but we looooved the front room, with a quieter ambiance, comfy booths, and a lovely library vibe with the fireplace and bookshelves. Here's what we ordered: - Berenjena: Japanese eggplant with toasted pistachios and pistachio-anchovy aioli. The aioli was delicious but this was probably my least favorite dish. It was still good, but didn't stand out as much as the others. The pistachios were a little too crumby for me. - Bravas Marinas: patatas bravas with a twist! And the twist is caviar so they can justify charging $22 for potatoes. This was a solid dish, with well-cooked potatoes that fulfilled my bf's cravings. However, we both agreed that while the caviar was good at first, the fishy taste doesn't fit that well with the traditional flavor of patatas bravas. Good, but wouldn't order again. - Pulpo con cenizas: get this!!!!! This was probably my favorite dish we got. Well cooked octopus over a bed of black beans and... seaweed? When we were eating, I actually thought it was pasta. Anyways, I loved this dish. - Steak skewer special: I forgot the actual name of the dish because it was on the specials menu, but this was great! Generous portion of meat between three skewers over a bed of flavorful and crispy chickpeas, topped with a bright chimichurri. Delish! - Rossejat rapida: this dish took quite a while to come out, and we were joking that we hoped they forgot it because we were really full by this point, but I'm so glad we got this! First of all, the presentation was beautiful. I've never seen pasta like this, but I actually loved the short spaghetti shape - it was so easy to eat. It doesn't taste like Italian pasta at all, but I loved how unique this dish was, infused with saffron and with little chunks of chicken breast, fava beans, and salty chunks of chorizo. Reminded me a little of paella but with spaghetti instead of rice. I'd probably prefer the flavors of Italian pasta, but this dish is worth trying! I don't love paella so I was happy to try this Spanish pasta. Very happy with our meal at Salinas! If you want delish, elevated tapas in a romantic setting, I'd highly recommend. Spanish tapas is definitely not one of my favorite types of food, but I was thoroughly impressed and I would come again to try the cauliflower, arroz vasca, croquettes, and basque cheesecake.

    Chocolate Flan

Saturday night, seated @ a corner booth opposite gas fireplace, subdued lighting, lovely ambiance and exceptional service. We ordered tapas; patatas marinas, pan tumaca, garlic shrimp, octopus. The potatoes--small, crispy cubes topped with a mayo like sauce and were addictively delicious. Bread was crunchy with a fresh tomato topping also excellent; shrimp & octopus were both OK but could have been more flavorful. Chocolate flan texture is too dense for a classic flan but fun to eat covered in pop rock size pellets if a bit pricey @ $18. We will definitely return to try other items on their menu. We made our reservation with Resy. A few days later when I checked my account, it was ni longer listed, the restaurant had cancelled it.?????

The table we sat at was quite large, and I think it could have fit a few more people. The staff was friendly, and the lighting wasn't too dark, nor was it too loud. While I liked the atmosphere, I found the food, or rather specifically the tapas, to be not good at best, while the main dishes were better but also ranged in quality. The fact that the tapas we ordered were pretty closely priced to the mains means I would recommend the mains only based on portion and taste alone. To drink, a bunch of us split a bottle of wine from their large and pretty reasonably priced selection. The first tapas that arrived was something that I could not eat. This was the Pulpo Zarautz for $32, listed as octopus with garlic and merken seasoning served over mashed baby potatoes. The dish was small, and people thought it was OK as they found the pieces of octopus a tad chewy. They liked the spices but were surprised that the potatoes were a bit cool. The $24 Gambas Al Ajillo, with slow-cooked prawns, white wine, EVOO, garlic, and mermen, was alright. There was a handful of shrimp, and they were decently cooked, but the "ajillo," or rather, the garlic, was very light. Therefore, I found it a bit bland, which is almost never the case for this dish. I wouldn't recommend this based on price and flavor. Last and least of the tapas was the $22 Tortilla De Patatas, listed simply as a Spanish omelette. There was an option to add chorizo for $2 more, which we did. Along with the omelette, this also arrived with a few sauces and some pieces of crunchy bread, which were the highlight, as the omelette wasn't good either. The texture of the omelette was very different than any other Spanish omelette I've ever had. It was quite soft with a bit of chew, with a mild chorizo flavor. Along with the greenish color, it wasn't exactly appetizing. I wouldn't recommend this at all, but thankfully, that was the last tapas we ordered. My favorite of the main dishes was the Solomillo & Pebre for $28, listed as skirt steak topped with parsley and olive oil, with hand-cut fried potato and salad. While not the most tender, as it is a skirt steak, it was still well-flavored with the topping almost reminding me, to an extent, of a less oily version of chimichurri. The potatoes had a unique texture, being slightly crispy on the outside while remaining slightly soft in the middle. The salad on the side, which also arrived with one of our other mains, was a tasty mix and certainly more effort than a typical salad you find in many of these places. We also liked the $32 Costillas De Cerdito, with pork ribs in beer, mustard, and rosemary with hand-cut fried potato and salad. The pork ribs were flavorful, though I did find a bit of it to be a bit fatty, but some of that is expected with pork ribs. The mildly sweet and slightly rich sauce paired with the pork ribs. The same comments from before can be made about the potatoes and salad. Last was the OK Paella De Mariscos for $38, listed as rice cooked with shrimp, mussels, clams, prawns, and fresh saffron. The portion size was good, with a lot of mussels and clams in particular, and a handful of shrimp. Of the bite I had of the two large prawns, they were plump and juicy as well. However, the rice was both a bit bland and a tad mushy and felt a bit overcooked compared to many other paellas. There was some socarrat on the bottom as per usual, which was the best part. It's a bit difficult to rate this place. The spices, textures, and flavors were lacking from the overpriced tapas, and I honestly wouldn't recommend any of them. For the main dishes, they were tasty, but you can get a better-cooked skirt steak at many other places for a similar price. The ribs were decent, and the paella was just OK. If we only had the tapas, I probably would be giving this place a 1, but for the whole meal, an upper 2, rounded up.

We tried a variety of dishes and each one was a hit (from the croquettes to the octopus to the paella). One member of our group doesn't usually like seafood and thought the octopus was delicious! The drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) were also yummy. The staff were super accommodating as well which I really appreciated!! Of note, the restaurant bar stays open longer than the kitchen so make sure you check in with them on when the kitchen closes (it was around 10 when we went but things were still in flux so that may change!)

As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the owner, Lorena. She was very cordial, attentive, gave magnificent recommendations, and added to the enjoyment of the meal. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and was blown away by the size. The glass was almost the size of the Bryant Park fountain, the Sangria was sweet and refreshing, and the fruit was abundant. I ordered two tapas: Croquetas de Jamon Serrano (Ham Croquettes) and the Albondigas (Meatballs). The croquettes were nicely presented, I enjoyed the sauces that adorned each croquette, they had a slightly crunchy outer layer, and the serving was four. The meatballs were amazing. Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery.
