I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream!! I was in the office at my house when I heard the familiar sound of the ice cream truck and I yelled to the wife "ice cream truck!!!" Definitely a morale boast! I ran outside and flagged him to stop. The neighborhood came out in full support and maintained their social distancing waiting in line. Mister Softee is SWEET! Nothing more nostalgic than chasing down the ice cream truck and getting yourself a treat. Except in this day and age, you can get more than a weird, deformed Spongebob popsicle or one of those Flintstones push pops that I'm not sure anyone liked. With Mister Softee, you get quality ice cream that is affordable and delicious. Usually with cheaper ice cream, you get that frosty, icy taste but here, it's creamy and authentic. This is the best soft serve ice cream bar none. My go to is a vanilla cone with chocolate crunchies. Just like the Mister Softee I remember growing up in NY, but even better because now it's available here during the Texas summers. I happened to see a mister softee truck today in my subdivision. I stoped and wanted some good ol soft serve I cream. They had a wide variety of ice cream combinations. I had to reach out to the owners and received poor customer service from them. The driver was very nice but we will never buy anything else from them again. Evidently someone moving their mask from their face while making ice cream is not the same as them removing their mask. Yeah, read it again and try to make sense of it. This is the vast difference. I was offered a refund but they would not mail it to me. read more

The ice cream truck came to my subdivision and a family of 4 and I appraoch the truck at the same time but they went first and each of them had no issue getting their cones. When it was my turn i asked for a vanilla cone the employee said i had to check in and to verify if I live here. I told her yes I live here and im ordering a cone and behind me was the life style director so I asked her hello im here to checkin she said ok I don't have yoh on my list but your welcome to purchase. I said I tried and she said I had to verify I live here and I do. Director says oh no maam this is just for the RSVP free treat. All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.

Im still trying to figure out how to find this business since they do not post a schedule on their website. I dont use social media either, so i guess you have to be in some secret club to get a simple schedule of where they are going to be. Even after emailing them and getting a response, I was still not told where they post their daily schedule. Until thats made public, a "MEH another unprofessional food vender" review is the best i can halfass try to give. read more

But man, the price for 1 SCOOP of boozy ice cream was $8, and even without being in today's economy I can't justify the cost of that. That's insane to me. 1 scoop of non-boozy ice cream is $6. I hope that they look into decreasing the costs of these. Another thing that I felt mislead about was how they advertise their ice cream vs. how they actually serve it.... Pics below for proof. If you're going to serve ice cream, and advertise it in actual ice cream dishes... then please serve it in ice cream dishes NOT PLASTIC CUPS Overall, disappointing to spend money on overpriced ice cream.
