Looks like the new management is keeping the food quality and the menu similar to what it was under the old management, but added a few tweaks, which is very good! The mix of old and new waitstaff is working well. The only gripe the me and the regulars have is that the new management is not very friendly. The warm "hello" that the customers get when they used to walk through the front door is missing. Often no acknowledgement is made at all from the staff in front. This is disquieting. While Chou and the waitstaff do their best to make you feel welcome, there is no excuse for the senior staff behind the counter to give you the cold shoulder. The owners need to realize that food is only half the business. The customers expect to be appreciated and welcomed with a certain amount of gusto. I can go anywhere for food, but I choose places that make me feel special and have a nice relaxing vibe to them. The next time I'm in there I am hoping to see more senior staff hitting up tables and making sure that everything is good in the customer's eyes. It is a vital part of the job. We've lived here just over 18mos and somehow only just found out about this place over the last month. Still, we've eaten here at least twice a week since finding them, lol. Their lunch sushi specials are a steal, and even without their special the sushi is very reasonably priced. It's also all delicious and well made. We're big fans of the Mag Lev 431 and tiger eye, but their basics are tasty, too. We always make sure to get a crunchy roll and a spicy crab roll in our sushi hoard. Dine in service has been very good with only one exception, where they had some new folks working during Friday dinner rush. We had to flag down servers repeatedly and the new sushi chef made a couple rolls incorrectly, but they remedied it free of charge and let us keep the wrongly made rolls. Pickup is also pretty easy and streamlined. Just pickup at the table closest to the entry. I think they'll also bring it out to the car for you. We love it and can't believe we haven't been enjoying it for the last 17mos! read more

WOW! Found my new favorite Sushi place, and in my own backyard! We found them here in Yelp, and did even know we have driven by this place many times! My Fiancee and I went for lunch this Saturday afternoon! We were greeted right away, and sat down. Place is small, and about half full when got there. The main waitress was very attentive to everybody there. She got our drink order quickly. I did not see if they serve alcohol or not. If you order soda, you will get a bottle with ice. I got ice tea, and she refilled promptly! When we placed our order, she did not even right it down, she just remembered it all. We got the cucumber salad (just rice wine vinegar, cucumbers and sesame seeds, but good). We got the Shrimp and Vegetable tempura, and was one of the best I have had! Perfectly breaded, and not greasy! You get sweet potato, green beans, broccoli, onion rings, and of course shrimp! Came out hot, and sooo good! My Fiancee got two rolls, Spicy tuna roll, which he said was good. But, what was surprise to him (we asked waitress what an Escolar was), and ordered the Escolar roll! I tried one piece...and I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND IT! It was sooo buttery and satiny texture!! I got the Caterpillar roll (eel with avocado) and Spicy crab roll. BOTH were great! There were many other ones we will try next time, and also try just the sliced sushi! After paying, the manager (?) came up and asked "How as everything?". I used to love this place they had the best sushi and the owner was amazing. I ordered take away this time and they must have a new owner and staff since last time. This isn't the same place at all no more. When I got my to go order I asked the guy by the door if the bag included sticks and everything, he said I don't know I don't work with takeaway and kept scrolling on his phone. This and the sushi tasting bad with undercooked rice and salmon that tasted old was my last time ever going here. Came here for lunch and they were pretty busy. I liked the nice open dining room. Our server Kelsie was efficient and helpful. We started with crab puffs and gyoza which were both fried perfectly and served quickly. The dipping sauce for the crab puffs was a bit to sugary so I ate them plain. I got the pork Katsu bento lunch which came with soup (miso was awesome) and two gyzoa. Needless to say we had plenty of those. Pay attention if you are getting apps and a bento plate. The pork was tender but the Panko breading that it was fried in was not crispy as it was coated in egg. I had not had the dish before- so this may be correct. IDK- but the fried rice underneath it was good, and all was seasoned well. Portion was large. We also got a shaggy roll with tempura shrimp- I'm not a fan of "imitation crab" but daughter liked it. This is pretty much your standard sushi/ Asian fusion place. I would say it's a good option but life is short so- try lots of places. Also- $2.50 for a cup of hot tea? read more

Very consistent on their order quality. For Georgetown, this is definitely the best sushi around. Fish is always fresh, flavors are good and the service (at least for takeout since that's what we always do) is on point. The biggest drawback is how long it takes for the food to be prepared, but I suppose that's what happens with a smaller sushi kitchen. We're regulars and are always content with the takeout accuracy as well. read more

YUM. My wife and I are vegetarian, so we decided to try Misusushi's carry out menu as we were craving Japanese/Korean cuisine. We got ourselves a few vegetarian rolls along with some tofu bites, and tofu general zou's with brown rice. Even after a long drive home and letting the food sit while dealing with kids before eating, it was DELICIOUS. We can not wait to be able to try this tasty menu while dining inn! read more

We ordered the 7 treasures & dragon rolls, plus the sesame chicken & fried rice. The heaping serving of sesame chicken was amazing..served with broccoli. Hot & fresh and not chewy. The sushi was presented beautifully but most importantly was fresh & delicious. The family was comparing it to others and said how much better it was (we eat in Round Rock/Austin area) didn't realize we had such a yummy spot in our 'backyard!' Mostly bc it was on the way home off hwy35 This place is in a tiny shopping strip We walked in & were bombarded with the extremely strong smell of acetone (nail polish remover) There were a total of maybe 8 tables It's pretty small. Customers that came after us left bc no seating We were already there had already been seated & kept telling each other the reviews were good The smell though. I couldn't get over the smell. The food came. We ordered the Vegas & a salmon roll & two other basics (NOTHING PICTURE WORTHY) & seaweed salads Seaweed salad tasted so fresh. it wad great. The sushi was yummy. Not top grade. Not creamy. Not an impressive presentation. Basic. But good. We were nervous. But an hour then two passed & we weren't puking so I guess it was fine. I'll never come back though. Two doors down is a nail shop. They must share the attic and possibly the ventilation bc it smelled like we were eating INSIDE THE NAIL SHOP. I've never been nervous about eating like I was. 5 stars because: This sushi and food is so good! The owner makes it fresh and he takes so much pride in his restaurant. The waitstaff is horrible and needs training and management but the owner is trying to do the right thing. What's wrong with the waitstaff? There are a lot of waitstaff on hand and no one seems to know who's table is who's. The past three visits it has taken over 15 minutes to get a glass of water once seated. They need a manager or staff supervisor with restaurant experience as the owner cannot make sure the restaurant is running well and prepare the food. The staff spend too much time standing around talking to each other and not tending to their tables in a timely manner. They also don't communicate well to the kitchen to ensure an orderly process. They are polite (minus one woman with a ponytail who has been there as long as I can remember) and could definitely turn around with the correct pointers. read more

Fish tasted great, the tempura roll had a great sauce on it, and my wonton soup was very flavorful! Best part was that it was $10. If I could give zero stars I would. I want to know who these people are giving this restaurant such high ratings. I have been eating sushi and ordering take out from sushi restaurants for years and this location is by far the worst. It is a disaster. Placed a takeout order on a weekday night with them and they screwed almost everything up. I asked for extra soy sauce (didn't even get ONE packet), I said "No ginger" (they put ginger in there right next to my roll), I asked "Do you have iced green tea?" the girl said yes. I said "Okay then I'll get one iced green tea." (Told her TWO times I wanted green tea. When I arrived she couldn't give me iced green tea because they don't have iced green tea there!), she told me it would be a 25 minute wait (it was 35 minutes), I asked for red snapper nigiri (they didn't make it for me because she forgot what kind of fish I ordered. She said she called me back. No she didn't. No missed calls.) All of this garbage and the sushi tastes gross (warm, too slimy and fishy smelling/tasting in a bad way), the gyoza was cold and they charged me $22! I'm so pissed. ALSO, there was no language barrier, the girl spoke perfect English. I hate wasting my money and my time. I will make sure we never order from them again. read more

I would rather drive 15 minutes to round rock or cedar park to pay that much for the rolls I received. This is hands down the BEST sushi place in Georgetown. We relocated from Seattle where you can find some of the most fresh fish and organic ingredients. We understand Texas is known for their BBQ, but the lack of quality Asian food was really surprising. We tried several other places on Williams Dr. but we're left with disappointment everytime. Then we stopped by Misu. From the moment we entered, we we're greated with smiles and hellos from the waiter to the owners. The menu was so much better than the other places and it reminded us alot of the sushi and Asian food were loved in Seattle. If you want excellent sushi rice, quality fish that's cut correctly, and the best service then come visit Misu. Bring you family and friends and enjoy this Georgetown gem! read more
