I was worried about going to the dentist due to COVID 19. So worried that I decided to bite the bullet and switch dental offices. I found the Mitch Levitt team via Yelp and I'm so glad I did!! They implemented a whole set of procedures to ensure the safety of all their guests and staff. When you go in for an appointment, everything is staggered to ensure that the office isn't overcrowded and all the staff present are wearing a ton of PPE for their own protection. I felt super safe going to their facility despite it being in an office building and as a plus, my teeth have never felt cleaner!! During my consultation, they went into a lot of detail about what issues I have and what I can do to improve. All of their equipment is top notch and includes a lot of tech that I've never even seen/heard of before!! Yes, they have an extremely professional and friendly staff, beautiful facilities, and state-of-the-art gear -- what really won me over is their understanding that not all of us experience pain the same way. I have a VERY low tolerance for pain. Even a routine teeth-cleaning can be traumatic for me. During our initial consultation, I made this very clear to Dr. Levitt and staff; it's literally the reason I left my previous dentist of many years. Well the deep cleaning I went through over two sessions with Dr. Levitt's office was so smooth and painless (thank you, Jennifer and Leslie), I literally fell asleep in the chair during the second one! Usually I am a ball of nerves throughout the entire cleaning. I made an appointment based on what appeared to be positive reviews about this dentist. I waited two months after making the appointment as they were so booked. As a very busy professional, I apparently missed their reminder call a day or two before the appointment? I still haven't seen or heard any messages they may have left? In the process of leaving my office to make it to the appointment they sent me an email saying they cancelled me. I had reorganized heaven and earth to MAKE SURE I would not miss my appointment. Totally unacceptable and a complete waste of my time. I have never heard of a dentist/doctor or any other service provider cancelling an appointment preemptively. If this is their practice they should make it VERY CLEAR when they make appointments with new patients that if they miss a reminder call they will be cancelled. Unbelievable. Just had my first consultation with Dr. Levitt. He was very personable, informative, and thorough, as was his entire team. Each member of this practice, from talking to you about the billing to the actual dental exam, appears to have one thing as its main priority, the patient (you!). The office itself is very contemporary, clean, bright, organized and utilizes the latest technology. The front desk also works with you to make sure that they can fit you in based on your schedule and actively monitors their waiting lists (which I appreciated). This office seemed promising at first but I decided not to go back after my experience with the unprofessional and incredibly rude staff. The worst one is the bitchy office manager, Amanda who gaslights you and will make up lies to cover herself. They only care about money here and will find a way to overcharge you for every little thing. If you question it they will be condescending and talk down to you. Save your money and find an office who actually cares about improving your health instead of manipulating you and seeing you as a dollar sign.
